Progressive Democrat Control
Came Via Welfare State Voters

Investor´s Business Daily, by John F. Gaski

Original Article

One other pillar of the liberal Democrats´ systematic takeover genuinely was a conscious conspiracy — no conspiracy theory — and has even received belated recognition recently. If you are old enough, you can remember Democrats such as Ted Kennedy, in their rare candid moments, rhapsodizing that someday, when they could get 50% of the U.S. population plus one receiving a government check of some kind, they would never again lose a national election! The notorious but true 47% cited by Mitt Romney apparently is close enough. Then, an especially vile tributary of this liberal

John Gaski, wow. Who´da thunk it? I had him for an undergrad marketing class back in the long ago times and am gladdened to see there is still at least one conservative under the Dome. But there is nothing to be gladdened about in his analysis and conclusions. We really have lost our way.

Not terribly inspiring but absolutely true.

Unfortunately, Dr. Gaski, your university cow towed to Obama several years ago. I lost a great deal of respect for Notre Dame when they did that. Georgetown is toast in my book too. I never thought I would live to see the day that Notre Dame and Georgetown would compromise their principles for the likes of someone like Barack Obama.

I repeatedly see this 47% figure regarding recipients of the federal largesse.

Question is ---- does this include Medicare, and/or Soc.Sec., and if so, what percent?

I´m willing to bet that a large percent of the Medicare, and Soc. Sec. recipients feel the same way as this household does---wouldn´t vote for a democrat if a gun was held to our heads!

But, what most of those Welfare State Voters don´t realize is they voted for Progressive Democrats.

Focus on economics of the decisions of these Progrssives and how they don´t add-up.
How their demand for higher gasoline and electricty prices hurt lower income and middle class voters the most, and it´s unnecessary since we have ample supplies.

Most Asians, Blacks and Hispanics AREN´T liberal, or progressive.
Start using that against the mostly upper-income, and white democrat party politicians.

How is the fact that Walmart employees are the biggest group recipients of food stamps in several states the fault of the democrats?

I´m serious. That´s a minimum wage, minimum hours issue. Why are we subsidizing Walmart? Why are they not paying their people enough to get off the dole while they are working?

#6, 7, absolutely agree. The whole election process is a sham now and we´ll never win again as long as there´s no integrity to the voting system.

#8 I don´t have the energy to explain it.

#10 I agree with this too. Let each state be as socialist as it wants (or not) and let the competition begin.

#11 Amen to that. No representation without taxation.

Social Security and Medicare are pillars of the Welfare-Nanny State. Democrats must be laughing their heads off watching Republicans defend these unconstitutional schemes to the death while claiming the GOP is for smaller government.

I have a different take on Walmart #8. When I go into Walmart I see a lot of older workers, many with obvious infirmities and many minorities. They´d are pleasant and run an efficient store full of good deals. Many of these workers, would have a hard time getting a job somewhere else. But they´re very nice people. Walmart obviously goes out of its way to hire good people who might otherwise be rejected for work. Walmart gets good workers and keeps a lot of people off of the dole. They should be lauded, not condemned.

It´s the liberal government that actively recruits low income workers to get on food stamps and so create a captive voter base, that needs to be condemned.

If expanding the guest list to include Michelle Obama at graduation for high school students in the Kansas capital city means fewer seats for friends and family, some students and their parents would prefer the first lady not attend. A furor over what the Topeka school district considers an honor has erupted after plans were announced for Obama to address a combined graduation ceremony for five area high schools next month an 8,000-seat arena. For some, it was the prospect of a tight limit on the number of seats allotted to each graduate. For others, it was the notion that Obama´s speech,

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

He’s been hammered for going around Congress with executive orders. But he’s within his authority—and he should go further on voting and transparency to make government work better. With Congress paralyzed, President Obama has promised to use his “pen and phone” to overcome the ongoing dysfunction and get some work done. And the White House has already acted several times to help improve America’s economy. But such policies, no matter how valuable, will achieve little if we do not fix our broken democracy. Allow me to suggest some ideas for how the president can do just that. First, some historical context. Presidents

Here is a selection of highlights from Friday’s release of documents from the Clinton presidency. The cache is part of a total of about 33,000 pages of presidential records that had been held back from various public records releases because of legal reasons exempting them from disclosure. A Clinton administration memo (page 674) shows a White House that was acutely aware of the first lady’s image problems as officials contemplated how to soften perceptions of Hillary Clinton and how to “build, energize and expand” her natural base. The latest cache of previously withheld Clinton documents includes an

The GOP has been hijacked. That’s right, hijacked. Over the past 100 years, an elite progressive minority has taken the Republican Party far afield from its conservative platform and the interests and values of its grassroots conservative base. I’ll admit that, in the aftermath of the disappointments of the 2012 elections, conservatives like me are angry. We are angry at being blamed for Mitt Romney’s defeat, when we argued from the beginning that he was a Big Government establishment politician and that if he ran a content-free campaign, he would lose. We are angry at the disrespect shown to limited-government constitutional conservatives

She no doubt had to make some tough decisions while at State, and has at least one big decision to make coming up in the next year or so. But the former Cabinet member and possible future presidential candidate may have been better served by a different title—like, say, Tough Decisions. Because Hard Choices has already been used. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls.
