Dem Senators Vote to
Keep WH Tours Closed

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Ben Shapiro

Original Article

Posted By:starbaby, 3/20/2013 6:41:07 PM

While President Obama’s administration has suggested that the Secret Service is to blame for the closure of White House tours, the onus now falls on the Democrat-controlled Senate. On Wednesday, Democrats rejected a Republican attempt to reopen the White House tours in a straight party-line vote. 54 Democrats voted against reopening the tours. None have voted to defund President Obama’s golf trips. The amendment, sponsored by Senator Tom Coburn, required 60 votes to pass.

The only WH tourists O wants are celebrities, donors, and bagmen. The WH is no longer for the little people who finance O´s plesure junkets.

BTW, my virus alert software perks up when I go to Breitbart now, causing me to dump and abort. Anyone else experiencing this?

It was to keep open White House, Yellowstone National Park and the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, Pa. public tours.

Democrats are scum.

We, the American citizens who help fund our WH and truly love our country, are not now allowed in. However, Obama can continue to entertain his hip-hop and rap friends, sludge from Hollywood, and other low forms of life - and all in a luxe way, probably with much extra security in attendance. Does this man have free rein to spend whatever he wants on entertainment/vacations? Would love to know.

Because they want to make sure people "feel the pain". Yes, Democrats are scum and we are dumb to have allowed them to create their manipulative empire over the last 45 years. We could have prevented this takeover if people had just paid attention to what LBJ and others were doing. But no...people always think the best of others. So, even while the inner cities began decaying (we did nothing because it didn´t affect us) and more and more people became dependent on the government (but we didn´t do anything because it really didn´t affect us), we still slept because we thought it really didn´t affect us. We didn´t even look to see what they were doing. As they dumbed down all our schools and turned them into indoctrination centers, we did nothing to stop them (parents don´t have time these days to get involved in little Johnny´s school unless the family is athiest and someone makes him say "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. Now we are stuck with a nightmare and nobody will do what needs to be done still...GET OFF THE COUCH and start fighting back! (but people still sit and hope someone ELSE will save them...) Ugh

Minnesota state legislators considering a same-sex marriage bill for the state did not have an answer to an 11-year-old girl’s question on which parent is not needed. “Since every child needs a mom and a dad to be born, I don’t think we can change that children need a mom and a dad. I believe God made it that way,” Grace Evans, 11, said before the Minnesota House Committee on Civil Law last week. “I know some disagree, but I want to ask you this question: Which parent do I not need – my mom or my dad?”

For much of the last four decades, the Alabama Education Association has risen to become one of the most powerful teachers’ unions in the country. As odd as it may seem in a dark red state, over the years long-time AEA executive director Paul Hubbert, oftentimes described as the “shadow governor” of Alabama, has earned his union the distinction of being one of the most politically involved organizations of its type in the country. Hubbert and the AEA won one of their first major battles in 1971

The Steering Committee of the Alabama Republican Party has taken the rare step of officially demanding that one of the state’s two GOP U.S. Senators change a publicly announced position in a high-profile Washington battle. Specifically, the state party leaders have passed a resolution demanding that Sen. Richard Shelby “reconsider and reverse his decision to support Senator [Chuck] Hagel to be Secretary of Defense.” The resolution, passed early this afternoon, blasts Hagel for statements “favorable toward” countries “that we believe to be enemies of the United States of America,”

He didn’t pay. So today I sue Bill Maher for $5 million for charity.”

Not everyone will have to abide by Senator Dianne Feinstein´s gun control bill. If the proposed legislation becomes law, government officials and others will be exempt. "Mrs. Feinstein´s measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials, law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel," the Washington Times reports. The Huffington Post confirms these exemptions, and adds that guns owned prior to the legislation becoming law will be permissible, too.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
