Of course! It has long been the sole mission of the Socialist education establishment to create and perpetuate a nation populated by useful idiots. The tragedy is that it has been a rousing success.

The radicals of the New Left in the Sixties were candid and explicit about their plan to infiltrate and capture the institutions of culture. They referred to this as "the Long March Through the Institutions" in homage to Chairman Mao and Antonio Gramsci. "Professor" William Ayers was part of this. Alan Ginsburg howled "We will get you through your children!"

Unless American universities are recaptured from the enemies of America, matters can only get worse. Why American parents who are neither radicals, socialists, Marxists or even liberals persist in abandoning their children to the tender mercies of a profoundly corrupt anti-American educational establishment is something of a mystery. One can only assume they do not understand what is actually going on.

Nothing, absolutely nothing is more crucial to the preservation and prosperity of America than the elimination of partisan Leftist propaganda from schools and universities and the resurrection of genuine liberal, i.e. critical, honest, broad-minded, free market of ideas education. What Leftists have done, and what Americans have permitted them to do to our educational establishment is shameful and appalling beyond belief. Had I not seen it happen I would never have believed it possible. It is not (yet) too late - but the window of opportunity to restore American beliefs and values is closing rapidly.

Our government schools do not educate, they indoctrinate. That is the problem.

No, I fear it is too late. Liberalism feeds the dark side of our nature. Without the counterbalance of religious faith in the culture we may be caught up in the whirlpool of liberalism only reversed by the collapse of it all. Liberalism only moves one way.... down. This American experiment may be about finished. And the fear of Ben Franklin may be realized. "We have a Republic.... If we can keep it!"

It´s much simpler that that. It happened about the same time We let them take prayer out of school.

During Viet Nam the left argued that there were not enough male teachers, so they gave draft deferments to males who went into teaching. So we put the worst, anti-Americans we had into our schools as teachers and handed our children over to them. Now these anti-Americans are the leaders in education and we wonder why education is FUBARed.

And that happened over 40 years ago...

It´s not just government, ie, public schools that indoctrinate in left-wing ideology. Non-religious private schools do, too. And colleges and universities--public and private--are the worst. I would bet that fewer than 1% of college students who graduate from a "prestigious" college or university is conservative.

The leftists have had a plan that they have implemented over decades. Today, when it is clear they are about to irretrievably turn this country into a Socialist nightmare, the right is riven by infighting over ideological purity.

I wish there was a Must Read every day just to keep optimism alive, because this is like watching a train wreck.
