Social conservatives to RNC: Don´t be ´Pandering Idiots´

| The Republican National Committee’s support of Senator Rob Portman’s flip on gay marriage has infuriated social conservatives. Though they don’t doubt that RNC chairman Reince Priebus is on their side, some say his vocal praise on Monday of Portman’s new stance could alienate values voters. “I think [the RNC] should pretty much ignore him,” says Phyllis Schlafly, a longtime conservative activist, in an interview with National Review Online. “I think he has made a mistake, and he probably won’t get reelected.”

Portman is a father. Often perceptions change when a person is closer to an issue. I knew nothing about disability issues...until I had a family member with disabilities. And my attitudes changed.
The folks that look like idiots in this are those who attack Portman and his decision to change his position. Good people can disagree on things. This desire to kick out everyone who disagrees on anything is a losing proposition for the GOP.

Some of us think Portman was the one who attacked us. He could have just supported his son personally and not demanded a change in the law. Those who support marriage are not now entitled to defend it because of his personal views? Or perhaps we should be persuaded instead by that expert on marriage, Hillary Clinton?

That isn´t what is happening Rabbit. "Tolerance" does not mean throwing out the moral compass because some senator´s son is gay. This is the left´s attack on Christian morals and traditional marriage. They couldn´t care less about "inclusiveness", or "tolerance". The idiots here are the left´s useful ones. That conservatives have values that don´t change is not a purity test. Support John effing Kerry, Rabbit. He served in Viet Nam.

I have children. I love my children, but I have not and will not support their bad behavior and bad choices are still bad choices, which I do not support. That does not mean I still don´t love them. Portman´ flip flop shows a lack of moral fiber, and a disturbing moral flexibility.

Could someone out there give me one, just one, good reason the rocket scientists/brain surgeons at RNC Headquarters renewed Coach Priebus´s contract after last year´s disastrous season?

IF men married men; women, women then we would be way short of little bunnies hopping around. Easter symbol would need to be changed for the children. BUT WAIT there will be no children, right? At least not from that particular couple. So why marry...because you love someone or to procreate. Stand on principles dammit.

Liberals are also the ones most consumed with the idea of overpopulation. They generally seem antagonistic to large families (except illegal aliens) or even the idea of children - note their derogatory term ´breeders.´ This is just one more reason growing numbers of people don´t see anything important or different about marriage. And so if it´s not that big a deal, if it´s just about being with someone you love, then the only reason to deny it to homosexuals is because you hate them.

God´s Mosaic Law never compromised with sin or evil, nor should any God-fearing nation´s political system, or its leaders.
Gender rebellion is a sin of degeneracy (it only gets worse), sexual arrogance, and evil. They live for sex, but contrary to God´s definition of legitimate sex. Take away the hormones of the gender confused, and they´re miserable and lost. That´s why you never see a happy old "queen," or "dike". They know their lifestyle is wrong, but rather than admit it, they choose their sin, and blame the moral society, instead.
Up until the 1990´s homosexuality was classified a mental illness, until the homo-nazis demanded it be revoked and "normalized," which it isn´t.
Hollywood and Washington DC are rife with homo-nazis seeking to destroy the moral fabric of this nation. If homos demand protected class status, then there must be a Federal law requiring all homos register with the Federal Gov´t, just like the disabled and minorities must do.

Aren´t there any mainstream republicans left who actually hold true to core beliefs?
Phyllis Schlafly is right.
It is one thing for Portman to let his son´s homosexualism influence his accptance of sexual deviancy - although he didn´t seem be influenced when other fathers had to cope with the same choice.
But it is quite another for the political party of ethics and morality to openly support his sudden embrace of homosexualism.
That is the purview of the democrat party.

President Obama´s decision last year to allow young people living in the U.S. illegally to stay and work marked the biggest shift in immigration policy in decades, hailed as a landmark step toward the American dream for a generation of immigrants. But months later, many immigrants are having vastly different reactions to the change depending on where they live, and they aren´t flocking to the program at the levels the government originally expected. A handful of Republican-led states are blocking basic benefits for those in the program, denying beneficiaries identification cards, driver´s licenses,

Work is starting on a project to stabilize the banks of the Santa Cruz River from Ajo Way to Silverlake Road. The river and surrounding parklands are home to regal horned lizards and other uncommon kinds of reptiles and toads. On Easter Sunday, Google is honoring the birthday of the late labor organizer Cesar Chavez by placing a Chavez portrait within the middle “o” of the Google logo that appears on the homepage of the popular search engine. While Google frequently decorates its logo to celebrate various holidays and special events, it is unclear why the company chose specifically to honor Chavez’s birthday, instead of Easter Sunday. Chavez co-founded the organization now known as the United Farm Workers union (UFW). He became an iconic figure in the labor movement, with his stature only increasing since his death

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth.
