| Madonna, whose attempts to decide what’s best for maintaining the innocence of childhood would turn any responsible parent’s stomach, spoke at the GLAAD Awards over the weekend and denounced the Boy Scouts for their exclusion of gay Scoutmasters and Scout members. The Advocate for Innocence, dressed in an oversized Boy Scout uniform, intoned, “I wanted to be a Boy Scout, but they wouldn’t let me join. I think that’s f***** up. I know how to build a fire. I can pitch a tent … most importantly, I know how to scout for boys. I think [the Boy Scouts]

Guess Madonna is way too far gone in brain damage territory to have any clue at all what her ´pals´ at GLAAD have done to American adolescent males...
As since the ´gay lobby´ has been peddling the ´normal and healthy´ gay propaganda to school-children for over a decade - the CDC notes that demographic - 12 to 22 year old males - is the ONLY area of the US population where HIV *continues* to grow - with 1000 new kids infected *monthly*.
It would appear that Madonna - and the ´gay lobby´ - are the demonstrably ´f**ked up´ segment of society.
So much for the intellect of aging road-whores, eh?

Enough already! Time for the pendulum to swing back the other way. The so-called entertainment industry has messed up 2 generations of Americans. It is filth that rots the brain and steals the ability to recognize right from wrong. The rape trial that ended yesterday shows how 18 year olds don´t even know what rape is.

It´s not enough for the so-called "liberals" to look at an organization like the Boy Scouts or a religion and say "y´know, that´s not for me" and move on. No. They have to condemn it and work to change it to THEIR idea of what´s right and good. Whether due to hubris or a streak of autism where they just cannot see anything from another´s perspective doesn´t matter in the end: the liberals need to be stopped.

Her parents must be so proud. They were very nice people and very well liked in the neighborhood. I can´t imagine how they must feel when she says and does such stupid things. I wonder what her own children think. They are at the age when kids feel most embarrassed by parents´ behavior. They must be horrified by now.

About 10 years ago Jonah Goldberg wrote about the adverse impact of Madonna on U.S. Culture. The initiative for the column was Madonna´s pronouncement that she was raising her children in England to protect them from the toxic impact of American Culture. Jonah correctly pointed out that Madonna and her career was the source of that toxicity, but unfortunatley, the people most adversely impacted did not have the financial resources to escape it like she did.
As for her condemnation of the Boy Scouts....full disclosure, I was not a Boy Scout, but rather a 4-H kid. But my son in law was an Eagle Scout. Younger daughters current boyfriend was an Eagle Scout. Both good young men. I would worry about either of them doing anything embarrassing in church, at dinner or in any other social setting. Can´t say that for the protagonist of this article.

At a Democratic National Committee fund raising event in Atherton, California Thursday morning, President Obama declared that the United States government still needs to get its fiscal house in order: We still waste money in all kinds of things that don´t work, and we have the capacity to shift those dollars into things that do work and that will grow our economy. And we can reduce our deficit, stabilize our debt, and do so without sacrificing the kinds of investments that are going to be required to grow. During his remarks, the president spoke of the

Religious liberty groups are mobilizing to defend the chaplain of George Washington University’s Newman Center after gay students launched an effort to have the priest fired because he preaches against homosexuality and abortion. “It’s discrimination against Catholics,” said Patrick Reilly, president of the Cardinal Newman Society. “Secular colleges are fast becoming a very unsafe place for Catholics who hold true to their faith. This is a very, very sad situation.” Two gay students at George Washington told the GW Hatchet student newspaper that they want Father Greg Shaffer removed from campus

One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. The wrong name, he warned, could doom a good bill. “If there´s not a

President Obama is eager to build public support for his health care overhaul in the few months remaining before its implementation, but waning enthusiasm from Democrats threatens his effort right out of the gate. Two-thirds of Democrats now believe Obama´s health care reforms will either hurt them personally or have no effect on their daily lives, a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday shows. In comparison, just 27 percent of Democratic respondents said the reforms would help them. The president has long struggled to convince independent and Republican-leaning voters that his health care blueprint would lower premiums and expand insurance coverage.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that
