MSNBC Has Become Almost

Fox News Is Doing Much
More Factual Reporting

Business Insider, by Brett LoGiurato

MSNBC´s programming became almost entirely full of commentary and opinion in 2012, while "factual reporting" saw almost no airtime, according to a new report from the Pew Research Center. The report, which is part of Pew´s annual comprehensive State of the News Media, found that opinion and commentary fill 85 percent of the airtime on MSNBC. The network only devotes 15 percent to "factual reporting," according to the Pew study. To conduct the study, Pew looked at a half-hour of daytime programming for the first five months of 2012

Comments:
Hello..?
Duh!
MSNBC is and has been nothing more than a thinly veiled propaganda machine attempting to cover for the insidious advance of the radical anti-American leftist agenda and the most destructive administration in this nation´s history for years now.

MSNBC may spend 85% of their time giving comments and opinions, but they are the ´´politically correct´´ lie-beral comments and opinions, so this will never make the news anywhere in the MSM.

Of course, with the tiny (and increasingly dwindling) viewing audience that MSNBC normally has, it´s not like anyone hears them.

MSNBC has become the ´vitriol network´. There´s more hate spewed daily in that arena than the fondest KKK rally scenario liberals could ever dream up.

They pretty well ´set their credibility tone´ when they gave race-hustler Sharpton a venue, and their *female* on-air personalities are far better suited to decorating a brothel somewhere than intelligent news commentary.

So, there ya´ have it - MSNBC works with what it has - and that´s damn little.

I’ll be glad when FoxNews gets back to reporting news. Yesterday it was St Patrick’s day with fried eggs in green pepper rings, steak tasting on the patio, dogs wearing green hats, green adult beverage recipes,…...green, green, green.

This morning it was women interviewers horsing around with Sumo wrestlers and yard chess on the patio..a Jack Russell trying to go the wrong way up a slide board…repeated at least twice. Phone interview with the Donald about his “You’re Fired” show, complete with clips.

All the time the breaking news in Cyprus, Benghazi and such are barely touched upon.

Fortunately we get the French channel TV5Monde where real news is reported.

Thank goodness for Fox news. At least there, we get the news. The msm that promotes the news is mostly fluff from Hollywood and big liberal supporters with hardly ever an opposing view. At least Fox gives the opposition a chance to reply but many times they choose not to respond. We do get the local weather and that is what I mostly watch anymore.
Also Lucianne is the place to see what is happening in the newspaper industry. Lots posted here that you will not see on your msm.

There has been much debate recently over the merits of extending unemployment benefits — last week, the Senate reached cloture on a bill to do so for three months, and will vote on the bill tonight. Even just among conservatives, the debate has been robust: AEI economist Michael Strain has argued, on the Corner, for extending the benefits, while others, such as Senator Rand Paul, have argued against such an extension. But the debate hasn’t focused on the academic literature on the subject – including an important, surprising new paper from the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), perhaps the most

Here´s a startling statistic: more than 8,000 Iraqis were killed in violent attacks in 2013. That makes it the second most violent country in the world, after its neighbor Syria. As violence has spread and militants have gained ground in several Middle Eastern countries, people have been wondering how much this has to do with the Obama administration and its lack of an active intervention in the region. The Wall Street Journal and a Commentary magazine opinion piece have both argued this past week that the Obama administration´s decision to withdraw troops from Iraq is directly responsible for the renewed

In 1994 or early 1995 the still unknown Barack Obama sent his editor at Times Books, Henry Ferris, the first two-thirds of his memoir Dreams from My Father. He told Ferris that to complete the book, he had to return to Kenya to do some research. The evidence strongly suggests that Obama went not to Kenya to do that research but to the local library to do some borderline plagiarizing. In the way of background, Barack and Michelle Obama visited Kenya in the summer of 1992 and married in October of that year. There is little dispute about the timing of

Washington - Just days after dismissing two top advisers for their roles in the George Washington Bridge scandal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is facing questions over the use of Superstorm Sandy relief funds. CNN has learned that federal officials are investigating whether Christie improperly used those relief funds to produce tourism ads that starred him and his family. The news couldn´t come at a worse time for the scandal-plagued Republican, who is facing two probes into whether his staff tied up traffic near the country´s busiest bridge to punish a Democratic mayor who refused to endorse his successful re-election bid.

Earlier this week, there was a spring in conservatives’ step. That was because Chris Christie was in deep doo-doo. His career seemed to be imploding, over Bridgegate. Conservatives hadn’t been so happy since the Obamacare rollout (which wasn’t that long ago). The end of Christie’s career would not be a good thing — for New Jersey, for the Republican party, for conservatism, or for the country. He is a valuable conservative, one of the most talented politicians in America. We are lucky to have him on our side — general side. Lately, I have been more and more impatient with 100-percenters —

Before Chris Christie’s first scandal devolves into an obsessive quest to prove who knew what, when, it’s worth pausing to appreciate the wonderful, quintessential New Jerseyness of the incident itself. What happened, roughly, is this. On August 13, Bridget Anne Kelly, one of Christie’s three deputy chiefs of staff, sent an email to David Wildstein, a Christie confidant serving as an executive for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which controls much of the transit infrastructure of northern Jersey. Kelly said that it was “time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee.” Some speculate that the precipitating

Still battered at home by the ObamaCare debacle and the permanently sluggish economy, the last thing the White House wanted was bad news on foreign policy.
