CDC: Deadly Bacteria, CRE, Is on the Rise in U.S. Hospitals, But We Can’t Fight It Because of Sequester

| The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently issued a dire warning that a deadly new superbug called CRE was spreading in hospitals throughout the nation, but that they might not be able to fight it because of the sequester! Is it true? Betsy McCaughey, former lieutenant governor of New York, warned that the instances of deadly carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, CRE, are certainly on the rise, but said placing the blame on the sequester is “preposterous.” McCaughey says that 50 percent of patients who contract the drug-resistant bacteria in a hospital or nursing home die from it.
|
Comments: This is criminal behavior! They are supposed to protect the citizens of this country. McCaughey states that 0bamacare requires the "CDC to spend $100M a year on instant recess videos so people can dance for ten minutes during their work day." This is pure insanity and dereliction of duty.

I am sick and tired of government, corporate or organization spokesliars. I would like to know if they go to sleep peacefully or worried that the lies they make to the public will come back and bite them in the a##. At the least they have no sense of morality. America needs leaders, not people who pass the blame. I am searching for an emerging leader for America, Democrat or Republican. I do not want one who rules by opinion poll, I want a person who will do his or her best to make America secure and prosperous again. I do not care if Europe or Asia or Africa loves us or not, I do want respect. America does not have respect as long as Obama, his administration, or his Democrat toads in Congress is in power.

Hopefully they will be the ones where money is spent on mindless projects. Haircuts and shaves for congress might be one place to cut.

The problem arises because of too much reliance on antibiotics and vaccination shots. The solution is to use alternate treatments first. Vitamin D is a big part and people living in northern latitudes or anyone who doesn´t get enough sun exposure needs supplementation. A replacement for the flu shot would be the method of Dr Rowen re-infusing the patients blood after exposing it to UVC light. These are real solutions. Cut govt spending

Recent events suggest that the 44th president may not be immune to the phenomenon that historians call the “second-term curse.” Not four months after his ambitious inaugural address, President Obama finds himself struggling to move his legislative agenda through an unbudging Congress. And over the past week, two flaring controversies — one over his administration’s handling of the killing of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Libya, the other over Internal Revenue Service employees targeting tea party groups for special scrutiny — have dominated the discussion in Washington.

The floundering and willfully dishonest enterprise that is NBC News has apparently found its replacement for the disgraced Steve Capus. According to The New York Times, Deborah Turness, the current head of Britains ITV News, will become the next president of NBC News and the first woman to run a television news division. For the last decade or so, ITV has increasingly become a tabloid-style television outlet, broadcasting soap operas and reality television. Since NBC News right now reflects nothing close to reality, Turness might be just what that division needs.

In a sign of how the Benghazi cover-up story is gaining traction in the mainstream media, Politico, the same outlet that only four days ago buried all of its Benghazi stories, is now conceding that the Obama administration ran with a "false narrative" in the days immediately following the September 11, 2012 terrorist attacks in Libya. On Friday, in a story about Rush Limbaugh´s response to ABC´s report that the Obama administration scrubbed its initial talking points to remove references to terrorism, Politico conceded: Earlier Friday, reports surfaced that the false narrative the Obama administration pushed in the

“May you be cursed to live in interesting times,” says the fake Chinese proverb. But this is getting ridiculous — and embarrassing, if you’re a conservative. Liberals made idiots of themselves during the Bush years believing that every revelation that “proved” “Bush lied, people died” would rid the country of the smirking Texan by way of impeachment. The American people, in their righteous anger, would rise up and smite the illegitimate cowboy (and his sidekick, Darth Cheney), bringing down his regime — with the help of Democrats who only wanted what was best for the country. WASHINGTON ? Adult basic education and GED programs, with about 800,000 students taking GED tests each year, serve a segment of society that escaped government schools, including many homeschoolers. But the national propaganda effort called the Common Core Curriculum is spreading its tentacles to them. While many may not take the GED seriously, calling it the “Good Enough Diploma,” consider that quite a few homeschoolers take GED tests as a way to cancel out high school attendance requirements and lessen the record-keeping burden on home educators caused by compulsory attendance laws in every state. 2014 GED

Congressional testimony this week showed the appalling lengths to which the Obama administration went to cover-up its mishandling of last fall’s terrorist attack at the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, but President Obama’s precise role in the cynical operation remains hidden. Americans still don’t know what President Obama knew and when he knew it. We don’t know what exactly he did when he learned on Sept. 11, 2012 that U.S. officials in Benghazi were under attack. Obama may have gone to bed while the attack was in progress, leaving

WASHINGTON – Reporters and photographers were evacuated briefly from the West Wing of the White House early Saturday because of smoke from an overheated transformer in a mechanical room. U.S. Secret Service spokesman Max Milien said that at about 7 a.m., smoke was seen coming from a mechanical room closet on the first floor. "Early this morning, an electrical transformer near the West Wing malfunctioned and set off a smoke alarm in the West Wing," a White House official said in a statement. The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system. Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf) is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named “photo tool,” a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver’s license or other state-issued photo ID.

The most notable takeaway from Jay Carney’s incomprehensible Friday appearance had little to do with his Klingon grammar. Carney does not represent the historical value of the event – you should be wise to forget his performance, and instead take note that he was flanked by the entire room, without exception. Do not underestimate the significance: the Obama administration has not faced such an onslaught of truth-seeking since he took office in 2008, and further, no Democratic administration has been charged from all sides like this in recent memory. That press conference was unthinkable just days ago

As a presidential speech writer for the first Bush White House, I am always very interested in what presidents say in their formal speeches. They know, of course, that their remarks will be widely covered by the press, studied by analysts, and influential in contemporary political debates. For that reason, presidents rarely speak off-the-cuff, and their every word is carefully chosen for exactly the message the White House wants to convey to the public. Their graduation speeches, like all presidential addresses, go through many drafts and are reviewed by high-level administration officials

Friday, White House press secretary Jay Carney blamed Mitt Romney and Republicans for “politicizing” the Benghazi terrorist attacks. Harkening back to a Mitt Romney press conference on September 12, 2012, which addressed the Benghazi attacks only in passing while focusing instead on the assault on the American embassy in Cairo, Egypt, Carney suggested that Romney had tried to target the innocent Obama administration for telling the truth about Benghazi. “Republicans, again, in this ongoing effort that began in the hours after the attack when Mitt Romney put out a press release to try to take political

When it became clear last fall that the CIA’s now discredited Benghazi talking points were flawed, the White House said repeatedly the document were put together almost entirely by the intelligence community, but White House documents reviewed by Congress suggest a different story. ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that show they were extensive edited as they evolved from the drafts first written entirely by the CIA to the final version distributed to Congress and to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice before she appeared on five talk shows the Sunday after that attack.

Earlier today, we learned about a bombshell report that said the CIA´s Benghazi talking points were changed 12 times, with extensive input from the State Department. It comes after State Department whistleblower Gregory Hicks testified Wednesday that he was shocked when he saw Susan Rice blaming a protest for the attack on numerous talk shows. Martha MacCallum discussed the next steps in the investigation of what happened in Benghazi with Hicks´ attorney, Victoria Toensing. At this point, she thinks "it´s about time" that House Republicans start issuing subpoenas,

Shortly before last November’s election I took part in a Fox News documentary on Benghazi, whose other participants included the former governor of New Hampshire John Sununu. Making chit-chat while the camera crew were setting up, Governor Sununu said to me that in his view Benghazi mattered because it was “a question of character.” That’s correct. On a question of foreign policy or counterterrorism strategy, men of good faith can make the wrong decisions. But a failure of character corrodes the integrity of the state. That’s why career diplomat Gregory Hicks’s testimony

Congressional Republicans are using their Benghazi investigation as political "subterfuge" to distract from other issues, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Saturday. Pelosi said it´s important to find out what happened in the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. But the right is taking it too far, she said in an interview with MSNBC´s Melissa Harris-Perry. "The obsession that some of my Republican colleagues have in the House doesn´t look like it´s on the path to really finding a solution, but just to keeping an issue alive," she said.

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service is apologizing for inappropriately flagging conservative political groups for additional reviews during the 2012 election to see if they were violating their tax-exempt status. Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS unit that oversees tax-exempt groups, said organizations that included the words "tea party" or "patriot" in their applications for tax-exempt status were singled out for additional reviews. Lerner said the practice, initiated by low-level workers in Cincinnati, was wrong and she apologized while speaking at a conference in Washington.
