Boehner says he ´absolutely´ trusts Obama
Associated Press, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:M2, 3/17/2013 4:38:44 PM

House Speaker John Boehner says he "absolutely" trusts President Barack Obama — not that they don´t have their differences. Boehner tells ABC´s "This Week" that the two have a good relationship and that they´re "open with each other ... honest with each other." But the Ohio lawmaker says they´re trying to bridge some big differences.

Comments:
...and we wonder why GOP voters are looking for new leaders?

No immediate crisis in terms of debt??? Just how does Boehner define crisis? Sounds like he´s trying to suck up to Zero. And if he "absolutely" trusts Obama, after all of the double-crosses, he´s a bigger fool than I thought he was!

I have heard for years that Boehner and Obama were close personal friends! Birds of a feather and all that! New leadership now!

He and Obama worked out an agreement, then Obama went before the cameras and denied it all. Obame lied right to Boehner´s face, yet he absolutely trusts him?
Resign John, you embarrass the party.

Occam´s razor: Among competing and equal solutions to a hypothesis, the one that is the simplest usually is the answer; he´s being bribed, he´s being blackmailed, he never had much smarts to begin with, he´s been in Washington too long. Which ever one you choose, he should go home, go fishing and declare amnesia.

Boehner was a bit of a problem before this outrageous statement. Maybe he thinks he´ll be okay because the people seems to have forgiven Christie. He needs to re-think that one. I can say I absolutely do not trust either Obama or Boehner.

So, he obviously doesn´t have any idea about how ardent the left is to destroy the opposition, including Boehner.

And he will be out of the Speaker´s seat because he has been so good at undercutting Republicans in Congress.

Had he denounced Obama as the communist POS he is, would it have gained or lost him a single vote in the House on any measure?

As the late great Lee Rodgers used to say - don´t fall in love with a politician. They´ll break your heart every time. I´m a long long way from ´´in love´´ with John Boehner, but when a politician once again shows us that he/she is a politician, how is it that we all get bent out of shape? Still, it is stupid to refuse to ever vote for a Republican ever again based on one person´s dumb statement. If you won´t vote GOP, then you are giving the Democrats your vote. He doesn´t mean it, and, of all people, knows how treacherous a character the Resident is. The comment is aimed at the Lofo contingent, who want cooperation between the Republican majority House and the Administration. Now we know that the only cooperation Obama is ever going to offer the GOP is a nice firm cooperative push from the top of a long marble staircase. So don´t get so bent out of shape. Think strategically. Obama lies in every sentence. Boehner should, at least partly, play the same game. The idiots might actually believe him and mark it down as bipartisanship. Shhhhhhh.

If the young Tea Party friendly conservatives don´t wrestle power away from the Boehners, and very soon, the GOP is truly dead. To "absolutely trust" Obama is not just stupid, it´s mentally retarded comatose mixed with Stockholm Syndrome and a huge helping of masochism. This part of the GOP is now beyond hopeless.

Reply 85 - Posted by: Teleologicus, 3/17/2013 8:52:00 PM     (No. 9230137)

Boehner seems to think he is dealing with normal political opponents and that the dignified statesman-like approach is the way to go. Mitt Romney(R.I.P.) made the same mistake when he foolishly and gratuitously called Obama "a nice guy."

Boehner and Romney are proof that new blood is indeed desperately needed in the Republican party. They and those like them seem to have no idea what they are dealing with. It is just business as usual for them as Obama and his radical cronies are busy wrecking, undermining, sabotaging, bankrupting and "fundamentally transforming" the USA.

Proclaiming that he absolutely trusts Barack Obama makes John Boehner sound like a fool. I do not believe he is a fool - but his remark makes him sound like one. Even Leftists will hold him in (further) contempt for such a nonsensical and utterly needless statement. He should have kept his mouth shut, evaded the question, or said something like "time will have to tell."

Boehner has served America well and is doing his best in the current crisis but he is hopelessly outgunned and in way over his head. A change of command is urgently required.

Of course Boehner is lying. Of course he doesn´t trust Obama. Of course he is avoiding charges of racism, obstructionism, not-niceness, etc. A Rand Paul type probably wouldn´t have taken that tack, but I won´t fault Boehner yet for his more cynical and amoral approach. He´s just playing the game by the rules of the road, as established by the Dems. How many times does the Dear Leader lie through his teeth? Like, "I´m open to good ideas from anyone."

Defeat the GOP leaders, then defeat the Democrats.

It´s like a boxer going into a ring with the attitude : "He´s such a nice opponent...I´m sure he hasn´t any intention of hurting me!"

For me, this is the last straw for Boehner. He has NO idea how terribly he is going along with the destruction of our country. Come on Issa. Stage a palace revolt and get rid of this collaborator!

As part of the fiscal cliff deal reached by Congressional leaders and Vice President Joe Biden last night, the so-called CLASS Act – an integral component of Obamacare – will be repealed. CLASS Act – the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports Act -- is a new long-term entitlement program that even Democrats recognized was completely unsustainable It would pay $50 per day for long-term care services for anyone who had paid into the system for five years. In order for the program to work, people would probably have to pay $3,000 per month into the system.

In 2013, conservatives can offer no greater tribute of respect to our Founding Fathers and our fellow citizens than to resolve, from this day forward, to relentlessly expose, ridicule, deride, mock and publicly shame arrogant progressives in a manner that, for the first time in our adult lifetimes, communicates this one undeniable founding truth: America was never supposed to be this way. The progressive left´s ultimate weapon of choice in emasculating America´s strength has clearly and undeniably been outed as radical debt accumulation.

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
