Except, in their infintite wisdom the NJSSC gave us the decision called Abbott.
So, out of that %80, MY district probably only gets about 2/3rds of that.

Public schools have more money today than they EVER had in the history of the country, but education continually gets worse and worse. Children learned more in one room schools at the turn of the previous century 1899-1900 than they do today in their high tech specialized schools. Why? Bureaucracy, government meddling, excessive layers of admonistration, stupid excessive rules (many of which are unConstituional), rotten teachers, leftist whacko curriculum, etc. We need to overhaul the whole system, put all education back into local jurisdiction, disband the teachers´ unions, get rid of the NEA, go back to teaching the basics and use books that our grandparents used for the majority of curriculum, etc. NO computers, no calculators, no electronics of any kind in the core competency classes. Only elective courses should allow electronics. Typing courses should use real typewriters so children know the basics instead of hunt and peck. Most importaly, children should learn HOW to think--not what to think.

As for public schools I work in one. Believe me, in my experiemce, public school libs have no respect for taxpayer money. The worst of the lot are resentful of taxpayers and think school taxes should go up, especially on businesses. The waste of taxpayer money in the school district I work in is obscene.

Follow the money. I used to live in NJ. There was an uproar about the new Hooters restaurant that opend up in town. All was quieted when Hooters gave money to the playground fund (or something like that). Some of the Hooter girls would be in the Halloween parade with te Hooter banner. They wore long white pants rather than shorts.

Everyone has missed the major point here! If the planes fly over Schools with ADs on the Roof they will have to modify all planes with a glass bottom so passengers and crew will be able look down and SEE the AD! Think of it! Thousands of jobs. Good Paying Jobs! American Jobs! It´s for the Children!! (And this idiocy from a Superintendent of Schools?!)
