I loved his speech. He seemed honest and credible, and he almost seemed to not need the prompting.

I notice that some sites were complaining that he said nothing new, but I thought he was good. All in all, I thought the conference was good. I just hope someone besides US saw it.

It WAS good. You know, anyone else notice how weird the FOX anchors acted at end of speech? It was like they couldn´t bring themselves to just SAY it was well-done, a hit with the audience, etc. Are they TOLD to keep positive comments to a minimum when it comes to conservatives???

We just watched the DVR´d version. WOW! I am blown away with this man´s speech, its content and the audience. No notes, no Tele-Promp-Ter, just plain spoken good sense.

That said, Sarah and Dr. Carson and so many others were terrific. An embarrassment of riches? You bet! Will we squander it? I hope not.

If I were just joining ldotcom for the first time, I would definitely ask for the moniker "proud wacko bird". When you see Safari Man from now on, just think proud wacko bird.

That straw vote should not be taken before everyone has spoken and any votes for people who weren´t there should be disallowed , as with Christie. That said, Rand is proving himself a force to reckon with,- I´m still not wholly convinced of Rubio though I love his energy and style. We have a deep bench and knowing Sarah is out there rooting for good people in the heartland and wonderfully unafraid to stick it to both Obama and the beltway establishment alike, gives us reason to become positive once more.

If fat RINO Christie came in third and Cruz came in third, that tells me that there´s something wrong with these people.

While the left sits around and handwrings over Hillary or MO for 2016,the GOP has an abundance of riches bench.The problem is they still don´t have a home run hitter.I think Christie had the potential to be the home run hitter but he blew it out of desperation for federal money to come rolling in after Sandy.If he was a seasoned politician he would have given Obama his due as president and drew the line there.A seasoned politician would have also known that federal bureaucratic red tape takes forever,regardless of what a liar like Obama says.

Our country has been adrift for so long that talk of the Constitution sounds radical. The thought of states rights seems bizarre.

The Washington politicians think that they run this country and we are their subjects. The RINOs think the only voices that should be heard are those who have put in their time in the house and senate and worked their way up the ladder. These new guys are taking a chain saw to the ladder. They are my heroes!

I like the comment, #9. I think of the Young Guns as Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan. I think of Cruz, Rubio and Rand Paul as using a Machete to slash through all the foolishness and get right to the core of the problem. THEY are going to be the people to pay attention to, not McCain or McConnell or any of the other " Old Dogs" in Congress! They are happy with things the way they are and do not want any Upstart to come along and rock their boat. Well, man the Lifeboats because they´re about to go overboard and these "Upstarts" are the guys who are about to throw them out of their plush little boats! Should be a good show!

Oh , you people are all just ´purists´. You won´t be happy until all of your elected officials adhere to the constitution.

Much of the speech Cruz gave was similar to the speech he gave at 11 pm during the filibuster by Rand Paul. On that night I was so enthralled with the speech by Cruz I was wishing all of the LIV could be forced to watch. I was glad to hear him repeat the message to another audience.
The reaction / sputtering by the Fox News anchor was pretty weird. I turn off Fox after noon on the weekends because many of their male anchors are liberals in those time slots. It´s also a good time to get the yard work done because I don´t feel like I am missing anything.

When you are telling the truth you don´t need a teleprompter to remind you to hide what you really think!

Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul and the "new guy," Dr. Ben Carson, all have the ability to make a clear concise sentence - even a whole speech - without a teleprompter.

OTOH, try to recall even one clear and coherent answer to an unscripted question by Ø in any public forum in his known history.....

The Constitution is under attack like no time that I am aware of. Make no mistake. The socialist left would like nothing more than to scrap it entirely and impose a new Constitution on us. By force if necessary.

I find it remarkable and instructive that the very people that Dimocrits claim conservatives marginalize, use, and abuse are fast becoming the primary faces and voices of true conservatism. It scalds their butts that the very words of the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution are used by those who are supposed to be suppressed by the implementation of those very documents.

Immigrants, legal immigrants, realize that conservative principles are the bedrock of success. Progressive policy leads to tyranny and the destruction not only of majority rights and freedoms, but EVERYONE´S rights and freedoms.

I look forward to being led by competent, patriotic, first and second generation Americans - not Latin Americans, not African Americans - but true blue Americans! Lead the way Ben and Ted! I´m ready to follow real leaders with real ideas that really work!

IMHO Sara Palin understands what she can do and what she can´t. She can not win a national election with the MSN reporting that she killed a polar bear while refilling her SUV. What she can (AND WHAT SHE IS DOING) is supporting candidates who are principled conservatives at the expense of the ESTABLISHMENT Republicans.

I admired Cruz for his staunch support of Rand Paul during the filibuster. Their loyalty is inspiring in comparison to the dirty campaign Romney ran. If Romney had attacked Obama in the way he had attacked fellow Republicans, he would be in the oval office today.

Both Cruz and Paul strike me as presidental candidates who are able and willing to get down in the mud and fight their junkyard dog opponents.
