| The New York Times says that the administration has decided to build missile defense systems to defend against possible nuclear missile attacks from North Korea. (Snip) It’ll take two years to get the defense sites up, though. The administration was apparently relying on China to defend it; to ‘handle’ North Korea. Now that this has failed it is building a “bullet to hit a bullet”: missile defense. (Snip) Too bad the North Korea’s handlers let Obama down. The more basic question is: why didn’t this strategy work? Maybe they couldn’t pay the handler’s rate.

Here is a think piece that raises questions about why Obama campaigned one way (as an ultra-dove), yet is sneakily (or unwittingly) expanding the war against Moslem terrorists? Was he being cynical in the campaign, or are events proving that his naëveté requires a change in policy? And what about the possibility that Russia and China are manipulating Obama to serve their own ends? Is he a dupe, a traitor, or both?
And is Defense Secretary Hagel dumb enough to think that environmental impact studies will hasten the construction of missile batteries on the West Coast? Whew!

We are still living with the potentially tragic repercussions of Carter´s foolishly shortsighted Alice in Wonderland statecraft, which gave rise, directly, to the malignant mullahs in Iran and their nuclear bomb program which is not intended for defensive use (same as the Norks´, and, perhaps, in time, the Pakistanis´).
How much worse will the repercussions be if we discover that we are being governed by someone whose deep-seated sympathies are with our enemies, because he thinks that the USA is a colonial empire that deserves extinction?
Watch the two videos at the end of the essay. You won´t be inclined to be charitable toward Obama. I think his feints toward self defense are more politically than morally motivated. He cares less about the health of this nation than he cares about his own political viability.

They are doing an environmental study to see if they can install the missile defense system?!!! How about doing an environmental study to see the effects on the Pacific coast or Hawaii if the Narks nuke us? Compare the two and do the right thing.

Col. West spoke recently about this situation and stated maintenance would have run about 250 mil. from the time obama hit the WH, but with his stopping the missile defense it will now take a billion or more to bring us back to the status having the capability of self-defense.
I am still wondering about what the statement of "flexibility after the election" was all about. Surely he knew voter fraud would put him on top under any scenario.

Probably the visit by Dennis Rodman with his overly affectionate comraderie, pushed little Kim-un over the edge.
I also heard/read that the planned defenses put in the works by the Bush Admin were cancelled by BO.
Ludicrous to wait for an "environmental impact" study. On the other hand, ask the residents of those Western States. Maybe they´d rather be incinerated than possibly disrupt a frog?

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
