FOX puffing a light moment into something bigger. He was absolutely brilliant this morning. I especially liked his telling the Republicans that the country is yearning for commonsense straight honest talk from their leaders. Hint, hint!

Please powers that be...look down and deem us worthy of this fine man. We need him now more than ever. What a breath of fresh air and like he says himself, it´s not brain surgery.

Looks like it does not take much to ´excite conservatives´. Have we already forgotten Herman Cain - the last time a guy gave some speeches and was right away deemed presidential and even won FL straw poll? how about valuing experience? proven competence?

I´m not anointing anybody for anything, but Dr. Carson deserves attention because of the power and content of his statements. So does Herman Cain, for that matter.

#3, I would say that Dr. Carson is quite competent, in fact we have a whole lotta people who are competent and more than capable of running this country. Problem is that there are a whole lot of low information voters that love the Hollywood style over competence also the one that promises them all sorts of goodies. We have to make the country start using some common sense.

I also don´t think that Dr. Carson was meaning anything except to stir up the base in his remark, but he is someone that should be listened to and promoted.

I find it hard to believe that Herman Cain would not have run a better campaign against Obama than Romney did. Herman is not afraid to say what he thinks and he I think he has stronger conservative values than Mitt.

Not likely to let a poster who is a troll dampen my enthusiasm. To him I would say your people got excited about and have now twice elected a man with far fewer accomplishments, experience or competence. Scared much?

i guess this air of excitement could indicate that GOP conservatives like their liberal Dem brothers have a tendency to be captured by chocolate fever.
Don´t drag a brilliant medical man into the political quagmire where his abilities may not transfer correctly.

I´ve fallen in love before and been burnt, but I can´t help it: I love Dr. Ben. I´ve been digging and digging and I can´t find anything to snap me out of it.

No doubt he said something stupid (or it can be twisted to look stupid to lofos), but for now this Doc of humble beginnings and true grit has my full attention and imagination. The last guy to do that was a "mere actor" and that seem to work out o.k...

I think Dr. Carson would be a wonderful, honest, dedicated public servant. I just don´t think he would run. What little I know of him leads me to think otherwise, this is no condemnation of him, not at all!

We often har, ´´It doesn´t take a brain surgeon to fix it,´´ BUT considering the damage 0bama´s radical statist/dem policies are doing to every area of every American´s daily life, it just could take a brain surgeon to fix it!!! ...And the GOP has just the right brain surgeon to repair the damage and restore the health of Lady Liberty!!!

I like and admire everything I have seen about Dr. Carson, with one exception. That we have grasped onto him like a life raft says a lot about the republicans. That he is beaming and glowing in the spotlight is not so appealing.

Dr. Ben Carson has common sense, principles, values, and he believes in God.

Conservatives get excited when the sensible, good, and courageous stand up for conservatism and expose Obama´s perfidy (with the bonus of Obama having to listen a few feet away).

It´s been a long time waitin´...course we´re excited.

Chalk me up as an early, and hopeful supporter. He will, however, have to be vetted. I just hope that the man is as deep as his speeches.

I saw a clip of Dr. Carson on Fox News. He noted that some of his critics say that as a doctor, he doesn´t understand economics. He retorted, "It´s not brain surgery."

Coming from a pediatric neurosurgeon, that´s really funny.

Dr. Carson is not just a brain surgeon. He is a brilliant brain surgeon. He has done some historic surgeries (separating siamese twins joined at head). See the movie they made about him starring Cuba Gooding who is not as handsome as Carson.Have been a fan of him for years since attending an award ceremony for an inner city student getting his scholarship. A truly remarkable man and frankly we don´t deserve him.

Even if he doesn´t enter politics, he is a wonderful roll model, and excellent spokesperson.
