The Man who would be King
American Thinker, by Warren Beatty

Original Article

Posted By:ScarletPimpernel, 3/16/2013 9:40:58 AM

It must be quite nice to be king. Or at least think of yourself as king. Dear Leader Barack Obama exhibited that behavior while at a "working lunch" hosted by Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) last Wednesday (March 13). The food consisted of Maine lobster salad, Fox Family Potato Chips (from Maine), wild blueberry pie, and Gifford´s Ice Cream (made in Maine) for the pie. But, Obama could not partake of any of the food because (seriously) his personal taster was not present.

Comments:
0bama is seriously paranoid.

Obama should be demoted to a taste tester for the Food and Drug Administration. Who does he think he is?

OP: You have that right, I also hope that they never allow him to have a gun.

This is a serious ´Pant-Load´ Alert!

Do you think his ´Personal Food Taster´ actually chomps on one end of his weinies, or burgers before he scarfs them down in his so called spontaneous stops? This was his chance to stick a finger in the eyes of Repubies. To make publicity where there was a ´nothing burger´ of an event. Had it been a Democ´RAT event... Zippy would have been the first hog at the trough!
Problem with events in Washington is Zippy can´t take AF-1, and fly via Chicago to pick up his ´personal food taster´...Reggie L.
It makes Mooch jealous.

Ah, "Beware the Ides of March". Of course there are Republicans from Maine who would love nothing more than to poison him. Or maybe even put some cascara in his chile. He is now at the phase of hearing midnight footsteps in the hall. Soon to be followed by eyes in portraits that track his every move. Pity poor King Ludwig II.

Obama is just mean. Susan Collins had been talking about this menu all week and how proud she was for Maine to supply it. Obama knew that. It was a petty, mean spirited slap in the face.

George HW Bush had a taster. When he ate out he brought his own water, utensils and condiments. I don´t know about others. Zachary Taylor could have used one. It might have spared us Millard Fillmore.

Whether or not he has a food taster is beside the point as far as I´m concerned. However, the fact that he made such a big production out of not having his food taster present at a "working lunch" where the food was provided by Republicans, all of whom were eating from the same food he would be eating, smacks of a political put down, imo.

Perhaps it´s the Republicans who should be careful about eating food that has been provided by him, or his Dem buds. Those who go out of their way to project evil intentions on others for no good reason are usually more likely to do such a deed than those they implicate.

Ezekiel Emanuel has written extensively, before and after he helped draft ObamaCare, about who should get medical care, who should decide, and whose life is worth saving. Emanuel is part of a school of thought that redefines a physician’s duty, insisting that it includes working for the greater good of society instead of focusing only on a patient’s needs. Many physicians find that view dangerous, and most Americans are likely to agree.

It is a tender, natural and intimate portrait which shows, for the first time, something of the personality of young Prince George. Released on his first Mothering Sunday, this official portrait – in a relaxed style perfectly reflecting the Duke and Duchess’s very modern approach to Royalty – depicts the eight-month-old as a curious, affectionate toddler, gazing into the eyes of the family’s beloved Lupo. George seems devoted to the cocker spaniel and, judging by the adoration on Lupo’s face, the sentiments are returned.
