Mark Steyn: Media preoccupation
with gay marriage, abortion in papal
coverage ´completely ridiculous´

Daily Caller, by Jeff Poor

Original Article

In covering the selection of Pope Francis I, many in the media speculated as to whether the new head of the Roman Catholic Church would take a more liberal theological position on homosexuality and abortion. But in his regular Thursday appearance on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show, Mark Steyn, author of “After America: Get Ready for Armageddon,” viewed that media speculation along with other “trivial” aspects of the coverage to be ridiculous considering the church has held those same beliefs for thousands of years now. “Well, you know, I think the papal coverage in the so-called serious media

Comments:
Did they really think that the cardinals would elect a Pope that would turn its back on 2,000 years of church doctrine?

They probably did think that, which just goes to show you how smart the MSM is.

The MSM haven´t a clue regarding the Catholic Church. They haven´t even a clue regarding religion in general, let alone the specifics.

Sin is sin is sin ... a violation against the laws of God. No one can change God´s laws!

If you are a practicing homosexual, then the odds are you have no desire to be Catholic (or any denomination of Christianity that actually expects it´s followers to at least try to live by Bibilical principals).

So why would a homosexual care in the least what the Pope believes or any Christian church preaches and expects of followers of Christ?

Bottom line: If you don´t believe what any church preaches, don´t be a member of that church. Normal people, and I would assume most homosexuals, get that. Why can´t the idiotic MSM???

Consider Steyn may not "get it"...the goal is to eliminate those who are (rightly) judging them. If they can´t change the doctrine (or in politics, the Constitution), they must mislead the loyal....

The dems´ always biased lefty/lib media is both predictable and worthless. They are out there with their microphones repeating the same-old aggitator statist schtick day in, day out. They each even use the same wording when reading the dems´ PC talking points! The American MSM´s tired old modus opperandi remains stuck on the addage, ´´It ain´t news, unless we, (the dems´ media), says it´s news.´´ Thus, all of the MSM´s reports are unreliable and slanted away from truth. But that OLD dem bogus propaganda isn´t working quite as well anymore, eh?!!!!

To fill the urgent factual news information vacuum, Conservative talk radio, with Rush, Mark Levin, etc., the internet with Drudge, Lucianne, Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, etc., and EACH venue of the NEW MEDIA came along at just the right time!!!! Freedom needs and relies upon factual, truthful journalism in order for everyone to be informed and that Constitutional requirement for our Liberty is specifically acknowledged and secured in the very First Amendment! That vital service for Liberty is now being filled by the NEW MEDIA, because the old media has no credibility at all.

With such a bad reputation, who still pays any attention to the old media for factual reporting anyway?

Pope Francis is NOT a non-European Pope. It is unclear, but he is obviously either of all Italian heritage or is of mixed Italian and Spanish heritage, you can´t really be more European then that, even though he happened to be born and lived his life in Argentina.

Secularists and other god-deprived people all hope for a ´spiritual´ leader who will denounce traditional Judeo-Christian religious beliefs and moral teachings, and instead promote their unholy worldview. According to the Bible, that leader will come one day. He is called the False Prophet, and he will lead them to worship the Antichrist to their peril.

On her Thursday broadcast, “The Kelly File” host Megyn Kelly brought on Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer to sound off on the latest excerpt of President Barack Obama’s interview with the New Yorker magazine’s David Remnick. In that excerpt, Obama blamed Fox News and conservative talker Rush Limbaugh for the gridlock in Washington, D.C. On Thursday, semi-retired radio talker Neal Boortz predicted the republican party will not win control of the U.S. Senate in the 2014 midterm elections, despite all the pitfalls the democrats and president Barack Obama are facing, particularly with regards to ObamaCare. The reason, Boortz said, would be the GOP’s tendency to run on issues related to social conservatism. Boortz explained the importance to the republic for a GOP win next year while guest hosting Sean Hannity’s Thursday radio show: this whole thing about Phil Robertson and what have you – it speaks a lot to what we have
