Go back and watch the first Romney and Obama debate and ask yourself who else could have similarly pounded Obama. It will take that level of mastery to overcome the MSM headwind (so evident in the 2nd & 3rd debates) to win.

Stating a fact is not a slam unless you are into those semantic word games like what is the definition of "is". The ideology and policy positions behind traditional conservatism have been thoroughly established and politicians either believe in them or they don´t. Both Romney and McCain have made statements on policy and votes that have fallen far short of the expectations of conservatives around the country to the point where it is difficult to determine whether their claims of being conservative look like little more than political opportunism.
