Democrats Fret Over
Obama Poll Numbers

US News & World Report, by Michael T. Walsh

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 3/14/2013 6:16:15 AM

Democratic strategists are increasingly worried about the decline in President Obama´s job approval ratings. "We aren´t panicking but it´s a source of concern," a senior Democrat told me. The latest example is Wednesday´s Washington Post/ABC News poll, which finds that 50 percent of Americans approve of Obama´s job performance, down 5 percentage points from January. The decline is especially apparent among independents. Two months ago, 54 percent of independents approved of his job performance; today only 44 percent approve. A new McClatchy-Marist poll is even worse for Obama. Only 45 percent say he is doing a good job

I cannot think of one thing this administration has done that I approve of. It amazes me that 50% still give him a thumbs up.

Yes, I find it unbelievable that even 44-50% could possibly think he´s doing a good job. The article suggests that conservatives should be happy because congress gets even lower ratings. Bah.

Not to worry. The MSM will soon announce that His Majesty has cured cancer and in the fall He Himself is slated to win additional Nobel prizes in literature, physics and economics. The MSM will also report the results of their hard-hitting investigation into why Dear Leader is so goshdarn wonderful in every way imaginable, plus other ways not fit to print in family journals. And his popularity is sure to skyrocket when Our Lord and Savior wins next year´s Oscar for Best Actor (impersonating an American president). Daily poll numbers mean little when the entire press corps is covering-up for you and the ignorant don´t care how much you lie.

Sadly, I´m not so sure with this electorate of lofo voters that the dems will "get what they deserve" by losing in 2014. Now we "the sane ones" have EVERYTHING to lose if we cannot hold onto the House.

#6...nice one...#7, 2014 will be like 2010, the tea party and others will bring in more Ted Cruz´s, and there won´t be a Mass. moderate (Romney) to turn off a lot of voters...I think we not only keep the house but take back the senate too!

I don´t know why the DUHmocrats are fretting. They can manipulate the polls just like they manipulated the election results. As far as the 40-50%approval ratings, we forget that the younger generations have come up through the public indoctrination, oops, I mean school system, and they have been brainwashed. Totally. And being young, they still strive to fit into the ´pack´ mentality. Only time will tell if the scales will fall from their eyes and they find the internal fortitude to think for themselves. I have my doubts. Remember; it is so easy to be a liberal. It is hard to be a conservative and maintain higher standards, taking responsibility for everything you do.

The poll numbers don´t reflect reality bcause Barky has a sneaky organization that overloads poll or media articles with pro Barkey comments. Sort of a public opinion tele-prompter. In reality, the Regime has no clothes.

#9, I think it is naive to think that 2014 will be a replay of 2010. 2010 caught progressives by surprise. They are awake and organized now as shown in 2012. It will be a battle and if we don´t realize that we have already lost. There are too many clueless people in this country to count on a win for rational reasons. People have to tie their bad feelings about the current state of the Country to BO and the dems. If they don´t, they will continue to vote for the dems.

And after the 2012 results, the polls are worthless anyway.

#13, I am trying [with increasing difficulty each passing day] to be cautiously optimistic about 2014. The Ear Leader is a charismatic charlatan who can make a speech using reverb to sound good. None of that type of Huey Long style oration will be in evidence in 2014 [and God knows it won´t be there when the Hildabeest starts screeching in 2016].

Plus, I feel the love for Nobama will stop once people see less and less in the paychecks [if any], and more and more in their tax bill. As I said, I´m an optimist.

Democrats deserve to suffer massive losses at the 2014 mid-terms. Their support of King Obama, destroying the 2nd Amendment, Obamacare, high gas prices, Benghazi and endless unprosecuted scandals should be the deathnell of the Democrat Party.

The republicans must employ a strategy of not only taking issue with Obama, but must also attach the blame to DEMOCRATS. They will not be running against Obama in 2014, but they do need to make sure that the voters are aware that DEMOCRATS are in the cesspool with Obama.

In today´s America performing on the job has little bearing on the reported approval rating. Remember, George Bush who was out of power for four years (in effect for six after the Pelosi Congress took office) was blamed by no less than 53% of the exiting voters for our current economic misery. Romney, who had not held power for a single day was blamed. Did they really believe that? Hardly likely. IMO it was a way to relieve themselves of the guilt of voting to re-elect this one man wrecking crew because "he give free phone, he gonna do more". Similar sentiment rules the job approval sweepstakes.

Low-information voters are running the asylum. The Republic is on its last legs. Mob-rule democracy (anarchy) run by a fascist megalomaniac is where America is heading. Obama is flying the plane straight into the ground while planning to redistribute what is left. DHS is purchasing 2700 light tanks and 7000 fully automatic assault weapons, and already has 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition in the stockade. Obama and Holder are pushing for drones to fill the skies over America to keep tabs on their subjects. Arm yourself and stay vigilant.

The media will never allow Obama to be exposed as the progressive radical he is. They will knowingly cover for him long after he is out of office. Just wait and see if they don´t immediately talk about erecting a monument to him. They could just move Lincoln´s seat over and install a similar one for Obama, a little larger, of course or they could carve his face on Mt. Rushmore, but be sure, he will get his altar, excuse me, monument.

Senator Warner of VA portrays himself as a moderate, but has one of the most liberal voting records in the Senate. VA has many highly educated Dems who are more moderate, but they think he is a nice guy and don´t know how he really votes. It will be hard to defeat him unfortunately. Warner has voted Obama´s agenda his entire term.how more liberal can you get? The VA GOP needs to make that message clear to the voters.

The main problem with these poll numbers is that so many of these are from lo-fo voters. These are people that don´t regularly watch a news broadcast of read a newspaper. And if they to bother to read a newspaper, it is likely slanted to the liberal side of the equation. As an example, I was in Little Rock back in the early ´80´s attending some advanced courses for my job. At that time, there was a large contingent of Cubans being housed and fed at Camp Chaffee in NW Arkansas. These were some of the criminals that Carter had let into the country during the Cuban boat lift when they emptied their prisions and let the come to the US. There happed to be a reporter on the street on day that stopped a person and asked him should the government use "his" money (taxpayer) to take care of the Cubans. His response was "no man. Let the govmint take care of them". True story. And that is the same attitude we have to face in this day and age.

Unfortunately the lowlife voters are too stupid to know when it´s time to panic. When the cities are burning around them, they will still be expecting the hand of obama to reach out of the sky and pull them to safety. That´s how bad it is. When almost fifty percent of a population can watch an obstinate child play golf, vacation and party his way through a serious dereliction of duty and say he´s doing a good job, well, the vote is a terrible thing to put into their hands.

Secretary of State John Kerry is worth some $200 million, give or take a yacht. So his decision to slap a 5% pay cut on himself in solidarity with government employees squeezed by sequestration won’t likely hurt him much. But he’s saving taxpayers another way, too — if unintentionally. And it’s downright troubling. How else is Kerry saving money? He’s failing to hire folks to fill key spots at his agency. Terrific. Think about it: With the North Koreans threatening nuclear strikes against America — and Kerry himself preparing to visit South Korea this week — wouldn’t it be a tad helpful

In March, the number of Americans who dropped out of the labor force increased by 663,000 which adds up to a record 90 million Americans who are no longer looking for employment. Zero Hedge reported: This was the biggest monthly increase in people dropping out of the labor force since January 2012, when the BLS did its census recast of the labor numbers. And even worse, the labor force participation rate plunged from an already abysmal 63.5% to 63.3% - the lowest since 1979!But at least it helped with the now painfully grotesque propaganda

Going with his parental gut, President Obama applauded in 2011 when Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius barred girls under 17 from obtaining the morning-after pill without a prescription. He pictured 10- and 11-year-olds buying pregnancy prevention medicine as easily as bubble gum and drew a line. “As the father of two daughters, it makes sense to apply some common sense,” the President said. Now, a Brooklyn federal judge has ruled that moms and dads — including the ones in the White House — are owed no legal say over whether very young daughters can pop a hormonal contraceptive

It would take superspin powers to portray the March jobs report as anything other than a huge step in the wrong direction. The US economy added just 88,000 jobs last month, 95,000 in the private sector as public payrolls fell by 7,000. The official unemployment rate ticked down a tenth of a point to 7.6%. 1. That is a paltry number of jobs, more or less matching assumed labor force growth per month. So the economy must add at least that many jobs just to keep the labor market at current depressed levels.

Senator Marco Rubio is the man of the hour. He has deftly positioned himself as the indispensable figure in this year’s immigration debate. His participation has given the Gang of Eight approach to amnesty some insulation from grassroots conservative criticism, at least for a time. Liberals in Congress understand that his imprimatur is essential to get Republican votes for the amnesty. But Rubio’s position as a bridge between the parties on immigration means he faces conflicting demands. He wants to ride success on immigration to the 2016 presidential nomination but has also made hard commitments to conservatives

Last week, the Society of Actuaries warned about sticker shock ahead for individuals and families buying health insurance. How did the White House respond? In its usual Orwellian fashion, saying “healthcare costs are falling thanks to the reform law.” Falling is correct only if you’re standing on your head. President Obama repeatedly promised that insurance exchanges will save families up to $2,300 a year. He couldn’t possibly have believed it. From day one, it was obvious the law would push up premiums. That’s because it requires insurers to cover services

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B.
