| "Before we slice and dice every political statement this Pope has ever made during his entire life....breathe, take it in." That was NBC News´s Luke Russert at 3:36 p.m. Eastern on Twitter. But a mere 14 minutes later, on an MSNBC blog page, the cradle Catholic and son of the late Tim Russert set about to lecture the new pontiff on how to do his job. And, as is to be expected from a liberal journalist, it was chock full of the predictable liberal talking points about priestly celibacy, the role of women in the church,

Luke, your Daddy learned that God can call any of US at a given moment, usually not of our choosing. Therefore, you´d always better be sure that the words you say are like the last ones you may ever be spouting. These are not the one´s that I would choose.

He sure didn´t listen very well to any job advice his dad gave him did he? There is a place to criticize and a time to hold your fire. His dad may have been a lib, but even he would have given the new Pope a chance before opening fire. Grow up Luke. You are not all that son. Your dad would be ashamed of your judgement today.

I believe his father was educated by Jesuits. Reasoning skills must not have been passed down from father to son.
CCD is remedial catholic education for those who do not attend a catholic school. Luke must have gotten the condensed version of the catholic faith. If he is not comfortable with the tenets of the church, then leave. Stop whining about how the church does not fit your life views and find a church that does. I suggest the Church of Liberalism.

There is only one America but there are many other countries offering the kind of liberal/leftist/permissive/socialist environment our own democrats and leftists love so much.
But they are still determined to change America into a copy of the collective, permissive countries they so admire.
There is only one Catholic Church but there are many other religions offering the liberal, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-birth control environment so loved by democrats and other lefties.
Yet they are determined to tear the Catholic Church apart and turn it into a copy of the other churches that offer just the kind of "progressive" religion they claim to want. .

Considering that the liberals thought the pope was to be elected instead of revealed by God Russert is merely astounded that a liberal didn´t win an election nor was a preferred affirmative action choice the election winner. It´s back to the old certainty they can´t accept --Man proposes but GOD disposes his will be done. This was not an election. GOD bless this humble faithful man.

Dear MSM, Washington Post, New York Times, AP, Reuters, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and, yes, even FOX, etc. The Pope is CATHOLIC. He will never condone same sex marriage, abortion, birth control, or any of the evils therein. He will never condone ordination of women. He will never change the age old tradition in the Latin Rite of a celibate priesthood. Get over it. And all those anchors and "journalists" in Rome.....get over yourselves. If you were "raised" Catholic and are no longer a practicing Catholic and do not adhere to the teachings of the Church, don´t (forgive the pun) pontificate to those of us who do adhere to the teachings of the Faith. You´re all very tiresome and boring since you´ve been droning on for 40 yrs about how "old-fashioned" the Church is and should become more "relevant" and "open" to new ideas. I´ve got news for you. Those ideas aren´t new. They´re as old as Adam and Eve.

I hope I´m wrong but the new pope doesn´t strike me as someone who will be proactive in pushing Catholic doctrine, even though he´s an adherent himself.
I really didn´t care for the previous Pope getting on Twitter which is really a social outlet for flaked out liberals.I mean how does a nobody senator like Claire McCaskill have 84,000 followers? Of course she´ll never rival Lady Gaga,Kim Karcrashian or Beiber.I hope the new Pope uses traditional forms of communication.

Baroness Thatcher was Conservative prime minister from 1979 to 1990. She was the first woman to hold the post. Her family is expected to make a further statement later. Baroness Thatcher, born Margaret Roberts, became the Conservative MP for Finchley, north London in 1959, retiring from the Commons in 1992. One of the first political issues negotiators must tackle in crafting an immigration reform bill is among the most important: what to name it. It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. The wrong name, he warned, could doom a good bill. “If there´s not a

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
