| President Obama says he´s not the one who canceled the White House tours. He made the comments in an interview with ABC News. "[O]ne more question about the spending cuts," said the interviewer from ABC News. "You’ve been takin’ a lotta heat for this cancellation of the White House tours. They get– the Secret Service says it’s costs about $74,000 a week. Was canceling them really necessary?" "You know, I have to say this was not– a decision that went up to the White House."
|
Comments: "I didn´t do it. No one saw me do it. You can´t prove anything."

Obama twice ran for president but is unwilling and incapable of accepting the responsibilities that go with the office.
He must believe he is still just a community organizer whose job it is to give speeches meant to manipulate and divide people.
Obama CERTAINLY does not know how to find SOLUTIONS to America´s serious problems including unsustainable debts, chronic unemployment and anemic economic growth.
What a LOSER America elected by voting for Obama.

Well of course not.
With today´s events in Rome, we should remember that Bronco is more humble, a greater servant of the people, than any Pope could hope to be. How could such a man close the People out of their house? I mean, really.
And he won´t rest until he finds "the real person who cancelled the tours." Ahem.
#10: Point of order: correct, Truman´s "S" is not the initial for a middle name. However, he did later adopt a period after the "S". Two confirming examples: the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and the USS Harry S. Truman [CVN 75] both employ the period. Thanks.

#13: Truman did usually put a period after the "S" but later confirmed that the "S" did not stand for any name but was a compromise between the names of his two grandfathers, Shipp and Soloman.
http://www.trumanlibrary.org/speriod.htm
I suppose if Clinton could change his name from William Jefferson Blythe III and Obama could change his name from Obama to Soetoro and then back to Obama, Truman could decide whether or not to use a period after his S.
BTW, the Harry S Truman National Historic Site in Missouri does not employ a period after the S.

What is telling here is that BO is impotent. While we KNOW he and his lackeys canceled the tours as a political stunt, even if he hadn´t and found out about it couldn´t the "most powerful man in the world" figure out a way to restore the tours and cut something else. Apparently not THIS president. He is a helpless victim of the nasty Republicans. Something this simple to fix and BO can´t manage it. He is so small and petty that he would rather punish the kids coming to Washington rather than act as an adult and find a true compromise.

If he was telling the truth about this, he would have gratefully allowed Conservatives in the media who offered to pick up the slack with the cost of the tours to do so. But then, neither Obama is of the gracious sort. Instead they are petty, vengeful, and totally devoid of the milk of human kindness unless there is good PR in it for them.
Instead he has reacted in a petty, prideful way and dug in his heels. And you are right about the Secret Service #20. They do know how to bide their time.

From Clinton to Holder to Obama, you have to parse every syllable. There may have been just enough truth in what he said to get a "meaning of the word is" reality. Someone in the SS may have actually said something and, yes, Congress did allow the sequestration. He forgot, however, that sequestration was his idea and the SS can´t give the order. It would have taken a followup question to point that out but loyal Stephie would not ask it.

During oral arguments today at the Supreme Court, Justice Antonin Scalia and attorney Ted Olson had a pointed exchange over whether same-sex marriage is a fundamental right guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Scalia's argument, which was advanced by Chief Justice John Roberts before him, was that when the institution of marriage developed historically, it was not done with the explicit intent of excluding gay and lesbian couples.

Earth-like worlds may be closer and more plentiful than anyone imagined. Astronomers reported Wednesday that the closest Earth-like planet may be just 13 light years away. That planet hasn´t been found yet, but should be there based on the team´s study of red dwarf stars. Galactically speaking, it´s a stroll across the park. "We now know the rate of occurrence of habitable planets around the most common stars in our galaxy," said study co-author David Charbonneau. "That rate implies that it will be significantly easier to search for life beyond the solar system than we previously thought."

President Obama on Friday blasted Mitt Romney for using “scare” tactics in claiming that U.S. car companies are moving jobs to China, and the Republican challenger warned in another battleground state that reelecting the president would lead to another showdown in Congress next year over the debt ceiling. Obama, speaking in this town about 12 miles northwest of Columbus, accused Romney of frightening Americans with false claims of job losses “just to scare up some votes.”

Five days before the election, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has ruled out trying to work with Mitt Romney should he win next week. "Mitt Romney's fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his 'severely conservative' agenda is laughable," Mr. Reid said in a statement on Friday, trying to puncture Mr. Romney's closing election argument that he'll be able to deliver on the bipartisanship President Obama promised in 2008 but has struggled to live up to.

Questions like: Is this video racist? Is Obama really giving away phones? Is anyone really bothered by these Obama Phones? And, come on, this is just blatant racism, right? We'll try to answer them. President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped.
