| A lingering mystery from the 2012 presidential campaign is about to be solved: The worker who taped Mitt Romney at a private fundraiser saying that 47 percent of Americans are too dependent on government is finally coming forward. While the man has still not been publicly identified, the Huffington Post reports it was a bartender working at the event who taped Romney. The man will give his first public interview to MSNBC’s “The Ed Show” on Wednesday night. The bartender told the Huffington Post—which agreed to withhold his name until after the MSNBC appearance—

How many other events has he worked and taped? If I were someone who hired his company I´d be on the phone right now to see if he was on the staff for that event and I´d want proof he hadn´t recorded anything for his own purposes.

While this bartender deserves to be beaten within an inch of his life for spying on an event at which he was hired to serve, in the end the "47%" quote didn´t really matter.

Lesson learned... require that ALL employees of events be frisked and any electronic hardware be confiscated during event.
Make them sign some type of agreement that ifthey sneak any in they will be sued for breech of contract or some such. They all have enough lawyers on board to figure this crap out.

Now that he has been identified, lets.see if the DA wishes to prosecute for illegal taping. It is against the Fla. eavesdropping laws to do what he did. They couldn´t previously prosecute because the taper was unknown.

My first inclination was to echo what others have said in anger above. But truthfully, the 47% comment while factually correct was politically stupid. Romney has no one to blame for quoting him but himself. Let´s face it. He DID say it.As to losing the election - this comment was NOT why. Obama´s turnout was lower than in ´08 and so was the Republican vote. We lost because we did not excite our base enough to show up.

This is called "Crazy Making".
When speaking the truth becomes illegal or a terrible "Gaffe" then reasonable people have to either stand and fight of succumb to the Ward D level of weaponized craziness that is being foisted upon us.
