My God, they´re already expensive as it is right now!

Obama didn´t just want death panels for humans- he wanted to destroy your pets health care also. You think if he did not care about people did you think he would care about animals. The cost of bringing a pet to a veterinarian can run far more than you your own doctor visit, assuming you have insurance.
Obama cares only about increasing the size of Government, spending your tax money, and increasing your taxes to pay for all his delusions.

Yay! Obamacare sure is helping middle class families! Glad we passed the bill so we could find out all the devastating, absurd, economically crushing consequences.

We might as well face facts. This administration is going to bleed us dry so he can give everyone inferior "free" medical care. It will only be a matter of time before our paychecks will be deposited straight into obama´s bank account. Then king obama will send us back what he thinks we need. Between the SCOTUS and the idiots who voted for the boobs in DC we don´t stand a chance. Life as we knew it is over.

We tried to tell you! But no....you were all dazzled by promises of free taxpayer funded freebies. If you voted for Obama and his cohorts of socialists, you forfeitted ANY right to complain about the results now. Elections have consequences and you all made that bed for all of us.

This is not good news. I adopted a 10 yo rescue dog who is having a senior dog blood panel next week, followed by a dental cleaning the week after..OUCH.

As the Obama Depression deepens, any animal that cannot provide a meal, or ingredients for one (eggs, milk etc.) will have to be sacrificed. Muslims don´t like dogs, and cats are too independent. Don´t you just love the Boy Tyrant?

When the the obamabots who do take their pets tto the veterinarian and see how expensive it has become, they will just surrender the pets to shelters, or worse. Why don´t democrats ever, ever, ever think things through?

There are some ways you might be able to save on vet care. For instance, if you have a pet with hyperthyroidism, you know that the tapazole (generic methimazole) is not cheap. Not all states require vets to give you a prescription to fill at a lower cost elsewhere but vets can be persuaded to do so--find a vet who will. (See http://www.zzcat.com/CRF/supplies/#Refuse ) I use Walgreen´s for our cats´ prescriptions and use a store prescription card to get an even better deal--it gives me methimazole at less than half the usual price. Ask your vet to write the prescription to enable you to refill when you want (therefore allowing you to stock up before shortages begin occurring).

I also buy my LRS for fluid administration at Walgreen´s--a case of 12 @ 1000cc for less than $30. Go to link above and scroll up for info on online sites and other info re fluids and other CRF supplies.

Winged infusion sets, needles and syringes may be difficult to obtain sometimes. Although South Carolina permits the purchase of such supplies without a prescription, many pharmacies have a policy against it. If you don´t want or can´t get a prescription for those supplies, you´ll find sites which will sell them to you IF your state permits it (like Thrivingpets.com, where you can also buy essential Azodyl or the preferred Renadyl for your CRF pets).

Just so folks know, there is health insurance for pets. The one we use is VPI, but there are others. The premiums are not inexpensive, and the copays exist, so those without extra money may not be able to afford this type of insurance. It serves us well in the long run as we use it for our pet bird, and we can afford to buy this insurance.
