Since when has the truth or facts mattered in this case. Lying is the fashion in this case. Zimmermans life has been ruined. When he´s acquitted I would expect him to leave the country. All of Martin´s legal team should be disbarred. I just pray there´s no violence after this ends without the pound of flesh the race baiters are screaming for.

I don´t see how they can get a 2nd degree murder conviction w/o any viable witnesses and none of the evidence contradicting Zimmermann´s account. Perhaps what they really want is another Rodney King-type verdict and accompanying aftermath.

I know what happened. Martin jumped Zimmerman when he was getting into his car to leave. Zimmerman did his best to defend himself. Clear case of self defense. Case closed.

A "child" (in the eyes of the law, a 16 year old is a minor, a child) is handled much differently by the legal system than an "adult." If I´m not mistaken, a "child" may not be questioned without a "parent" present, and any exaggerations by a "child" are not treated as harshly (perjury) as those of an "adult." A "child" who knowingly commits a crime will usually go to the "juvenile" justice system, and face lesser penalties (incarceration often ends on the eighteenth birthday) than an adult faces for the same act.

Most teenagers, especially those involved with the gang culture know this better than I, and gangs will use younger members for the more violent crimes because of this perceived leniency. I have read of nine year old gang members acting as experienced executioners...because they can work the system.

The age lie could well have been the brainchild of the girl, who may have thought she could put the false information out there without having to actually appear in court to face cross examination or a perjury charge when she repeats the story. As #12 has already stated, the media showed Martin as a cute pre-teen for weeks. They did not show his picture as a young thug as portrayed on his social media page. That picture just screamed "guilty".
