´It sounds like a war zone´: Chaos in Brooklyn as 100 teenagers ´riot´ on the streets following vigil of 16-year-old who was shot dead by NYPD plainclothes cops

| An orderly protest over the death of an armed 16-year-old turned into a riot in Brooklyn tonight after young people started lashing out at NYPD officers. Between 60 and 100 rioters gathered around Church and Snyder Ave. in East Flatbush and threw bottles and other debris at police, witnesses said, following a vigil for Kimani Gray, 16, who was shot dead by two plainclothes officers over the weekend. One person has been arrested, though no injuries have been reported. They were lashing out at the NYPD, who they believe are responsible for the teen’s death.

Comments: Thug member of the Bloods pulls a gun on police, police shoot back and terminate thug.
"Protest" turns into excuse to riot, rob and assault.
Once more, the reason for 15 round and 30 round magazines is illustrated.
Also, note the comments of Councilman Jumaane D. Williams. Again, there´s a reason why our Founders wanted to ensure that law abiding citizens should be armed.

Strange, no one riots when a gang-banger shoots someone. The black youth in this country are completely out of control.

NYC Sullivan Laws fail again to disarm criminals, but this show of force will galvanize even more NYC sheeple to bleat to Gov. Cuomohno to ban even more firearms. Pick a side folks.

The Brooklyn arrest didn´t make as big a splash as the coming trial of George Zimmerman for Saint Travon´s death will.
Lock up your daughters and pass the ammo.

FTA: "The youth in this community have no outlets for their anger, no community."
Yeah, all those rich white communities have a bunch of gov´t-provided, planned and organized "outlets for anger." I sure appreciated all the ones I had. Ahem.
FTA: Gray, 16, was shot eleven times after police said he pulled out a .357 revolver in East Flatbush, Brooklyn over the weekend.
Time of day? Time of day? Never reported. A 16-year-old on the street with a loaded .357? Plenty of positive, innocent explanations. Uhhh not many legal ones.
FTA: Police say they came across a group of young men on Saturday evening and saw Gray acting suspiciously, walking away from his friends when he saw the officers approach.
He got absently-distracted contemplating the night sky, the contrasts of Rigel and Betelgeuse in Orion. Right? Couldn´t have been ducking the cops. No.
FTA: Gray had been in trouble with the law before, having been arrested three times since October and had previously been charged with grand larceny and inciting a riot. [Emphasis added.]
Yeah, about that previous riot. I guess you can go too far with a controversial translation of The Aeneid.
Or, feral "communities" and their members are destructive? Is that it?

AMHERST, N.Y. - State Police forced an Amherst man to turn in his guns after suspending his pistol permit over anti-anxiety medication. But now they say it was all a misunderstanding. Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs said, "Today, we all look like fools." "David," a 34-year-old college librarian, recently had his pistol permit taken away. Erie County´s Licensing Officer, Supreme Court Justice William Boller, was following a recommendation from State Police that David´s permit be revoked because he used anti-anxiety medication in the past.

ROCHESTER — Starting April 15, New York will have the smallest gun magazine limit in the country, and all signs indicate no gun makers have plans to accommodate it. Gun manufacturers have never had a reason to make a magazine with fewer than 10 rounds, because no state required it until now. And, as far as local gun dealers and the Democrat and Chronicle have been able to determine, there are no manufacturers planning to make seven-round magazines. This means that in less than two months, gun dealers such as Paul Martin, owner of Pro-Gun Services in Victor…

CHICAGO — A federal appeals court won´t reconsider an earlier ruling that Illinois´ concealed carry ban is unconstitutional. A three-judge panel of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down Illinois´ ban in December and gave lawmakers until June 8 to legalize the concealed carry of firearms. Attorney General Lisa Madigan asked for all 10 judges to review the decision, saying it conflicted with decisions by other federal appellate courts and goes beyond what the U.S. Supreme Court has held. Illinois is the only state in the nation that still has a ban in place.

Multiple shots were fired in the courtyard of Price Middle School just south of downtown about 1:50 p.m. and the one boy was hit, Atlanta Police Chief George Turner said. CLARENCE, N.Y. - In Clarence, tempers flared as gun-owners met with state officials to talk about the New York SAFE Act. (*SNIP*) And some questions had complicated answers. "You´re next question is, are you going to be arrested? I can´t answer that. It would be up to the officer you encounter. They would have to decide," said Mike Green of the Division of Criminal Justice Services. Some people got very heated with their questions, complaining that law-abiding people are getting punished. "Now you´re turning them into criminals. You´re making them angry. And when angry people get together they form militias…

The Rochester Police Department Chief James Sheppard said during a press briefing Wednesday afternoon that two male suspects entered the home at 442 Congress Avenue just after midnight Tuesday morning. (*SNIP*) One of the roommates retrieved his legally-owned AR-15, a semi-automatic rifle, and once confronted, the suspects ran out of the house. The roommates then called 911. A North Carolina woman, who was injured during the wild police shoot-out with a gunman at the Empire State Building in August, is suing the city — charging NYPD officers created a “dangerous and deadly confrontation,” resulting in nine wounded bystanders. Chenin Duclos, 32, was crossing 34th Street and 5th Avenue around 9 am on Aug. 24 when cops chased shooter Jeffrey Johnson through the crowded streets, the complaint states. The suit, filed today in Manhattan Supreme Court, names the city, police department and officers Craig Matthews and Robert Sinishtaj as allegedly responsible for failing to “exercise proper police tactics...

The host of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” David Gregory, will not be arrested or charged with a crime for waiving what he claimed was a high-capacity ammunition gun clip on national television last month. D.C. attorney general Irvin B. Nathan announced his decision Friday afternoon by releasing a letter to an attorney for NBC. Nathan wrote that though the device Gregory held up “meets the definition” of the criminal statute, he wrote that prosecution “would not promote public safety in the District of Columbia nor serve the best interests of the people of the District to whom this office owes...

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

West Virginia Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller, one of the towering architects of Obamacare, on Tuesday openly criticized program managers for not moving quickly enough to build the system, warning that if it gets off to a bumpy start it will just get worse. Decrying the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as way too complex, he warned the acting Medicare director that Obamacare is "so complicated and if it isn´t done right the first time, it will just simply get worse."

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. Even with the threat of furloughs and government cuts sparked by the sequester, Obama took the time to enjoy a star-studded concert at the White House tonight. The White House celebration of Memphis Soul music in the East Room--which included special guest appearances by Queen Latifah and Justin Timberlake--is likely to rile Obama´s Republican foes. Some conservatives have called on Obama to give up golf, especially since popular public tours of the White House have been canceled because of

In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

Although the first votes on gun -control legislation have yet to be cast, by some measures the National Rifle Association has already won. Obama’s ambitious plans to ban assault weapons and limit magazine capacities are off the table, while the NRA suggested it could support the most likely outcome -- expanded background checks -- as recently as 1999. The NRA claims that the president’s efforts have triggered a fundraising surge and boosted its membership from 4 million to nearly 5 million.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.
