Schakowsky: Assault Weapons
Ban ´Just the Beginning´

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Joel B. Pollak

Original Article

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), a member of the Democratic Party’s leadership in the House of Representatives, suggested to Jason Mattera at a Feb. 13 women’s rights rally that plans for an assault weapons ban and private-sales background checks were only the beginning of a broader gun control agenda extending to handguns as well. Schakowsky evidently did not recognize Mattera, a conservative video journalist and senior investigative reporter for Talk Radio Network, who infamously confronted Vice President Joe Biden in the Capitol. (Mattera introduced himself to Schakowsky by name but did not indicate that he was filming or that

The communists are getting very bold, to spout off their plans to strangers. Usually they go to great lengths to lie about it. They must have great confidence in their ability to pull this off.

Well, of course they see it as just the beginning! These people haven´t changed in 50 years. Their ultimate goal is the abolition of firearms in private hands. That´s what they´ve always wanted. They´ll admit it to people they think are on their side; to everyone else, they parrot the "reasonable restrictions" line. They´re Democrats (meaning socialists, or worse) - it´s what they believe.

Of all the risible liberals, Schakowsky may be the worst. Her mouth is as loud as her mind is shallow.

I have resisted posting this sentiment for some time but I have been pushed to the breaking point: I have the greatest respect for my elders especially who may visit and post on this site, but the only way for wholesale defeat of lefties like Schakowsky is to wait for them to die. With the greatest generation mostly deceased, their children have gone from 60s idealism, been manipulated and corrupted by Marxists, and now espouse the kind of authoritarianism that their parents shed blood to stop.

Their attempts to legislate, ban, enforce and hector is a displacement of their pathetic desire to revive the glory days.

Yes there are many young liberals but we have a generation of those raised in the Reagan era who are now reaching the seats of power. When Reid, Pelosi, Schakowsky and Schumer are deceased only then can we bury their poisonous ideology along with them.

Schakowsky is evil. House leaders are unprincipled and without a backbone.

This article shows why the Republicans and conservatives should never take the liberal Democrats for granted.

The liberal Democrats will never be able to reach their dream of banning and confiscating firearms until they first attain a liberal majority on the US Supreme Court, if they win the 2016 Presidential election that factor will be within their grasp.

Jan apparently doesn´t understand Lady Liberty´s concept of, ´´innocent until proved guilty.´´ In America, we are each personally responsible AND individually accountable to the rule of law for our own choice of actions! The Bill of Rights protect America´s citizens but Dem pols repeatedly demonstrate they don´t like the individual accountability demanded by America´s rule of law. Yet, how can any civil society exist without such equal accountilty? Responsible citizens obey existing law and should be respected but dem pols repeatedly and increasingly target the Rights of law abiding taxpayers instead of enforcing existing law by holding criminals accountable. ...WHAT´S UP with that?

Crooks who use guns in their crimes are the guilty ones, not law abiding citizens.

Why do dem pols have such difficulty in acknowledging between, ´´legal,´´ -& thus, those who respect & obey the rule of law, from, ´´ILLEGAL,´´ -those who disrespect & disregard the rule of law & choose to commit crimes, many with guns?

Jan just doesn´t get it, bless her heart. mmm mmm mmm

It has been said that an actuary is someone who really wanted to be an accountant but didn´t have the personality for it. See who´s laughing now. Things are starting to get very interesting, actuarially-speaking. Federal bankruptcy judge Christopher Klein ruled on April 1 that Stockton, Calif., can file for bankruptcy via Chapter 9 (Chapter 11´s ugly cousin). The ruling may start the actuarial dominoes falling across the country, because Stockton´s predicament stems from financial assumptions that are hardly restricted to one improvident California municipality.

´This is about these families and families all across the country who are saying, ´Let´s make it a little harder for our kids to get gunned down,´" President Obama declared Monday, in unusually demagogic remarks even by his standards. He added, "What´s more important to you: our children, or an A-grade from the gun lobby?" Mr. Obama is lapsing into such crude appeals—support his gun-control agenda or suborn mass child murder—because he knows his real problems aren´t the gun lobby. They´re members of his own party who answer to law-abiding voters who support Second Amendment rights.

BEIRUT -- Al-Qaida´s branch in Iraq and the most powerful rebel extremist group in Syria have officially joined ranks against President Bashar Assad to forge a potentially formidable militant force in the Middle East. The merger of the Islamic State in Iraq and Jabhat al-Nusra forms a new entity that could be an even stronger opponent in the fight to topple Assad and become a dominant player in what eventually replaces his regime. The new group, called the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, underscores the growing confidence and muscle of Islamist radicals fighting on the rebel side

There used to be a formulation of cynical news editors to determine American news priorities for mass murder. It ran something like: 1,000 dead Bangladeshis = 100 dead Italians = 10 dead Americans. So how many dead American babies does it take to make the news? I wrote two-and-a-half weeks ago about the U.S. media’s determination to ignore a story that’s inconvenient to their biases. But, given the gun-banners’ ceaseless grief-feasting on Sandy Hook, at some point doesn’t the corpse count in Philadelphia merit maybe, oh, a thousandth of the attention?
