40 Obama White House aides owe
the IRS $333,000 in back taxes

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

President Obama has done a lot of talking the last year about Americans paying their fair share of taxes. Apparently he means, Do as I say, not as my staff does. A new report from the Internal Revenue Service has just revealed that 40 of Obama´s White House aides owe their employer a total of $333,485 in back taxes. This is the third straight year the US chief executive has been unable to get his own staff to keep up with a citizen´s legal income tax obligations.

Publish all their names, the amount each owes and give them 90 days to pay up or set up a payment schedule. If not accomplished, fire them!

I realize this is not how their mommies would have done it, but they are now grownups and must start playing by grownup rules.

I just thought of something...that $333,000 would pay to open up the White House for tours again for the rest of the DC tourist season including summer.

Dammit - garnish their wages!

How on earth can this go on, year after year?

And most frustrating is that, according to the article, we have representatives and senators (who determine our tax requirements)that are also delinquent. These folks should not only have wages garnished, but should be in prison!

Come on, already!
Taxes are for little people.
The powerful are entitled to their money.
It is theirs.
It is the little people who have to pay for the powerful, entitled White House Aides.
{snark}
Besides, who would prosecute them?
Holder?
Ha!
No news here.
Just move on.

This PROVES that the BO Admin doesn´t think that paying taxes pertains to them.

It´s disgusting.

Pray tell, just how do they earn enough to have. on an average, 83,000K in taxes? Are extra bonuses paid we don´t know about?

Reply 6 - Posted by: john56, 3/11/2013 10:40:14 AM     (No. 9219166)

Honestly, with the pace of White House staff life -- Republican or Democrat -- an average of $83,000 to live in high-priced DC isn´t much of a deal.

But some wise Republican next time our Dear Leader(US) rails for higher taxes should be pointing out why 40 of his aides owe an average of $8,000 each in back taxes before he starts going for your money ... and mine.

$83K each? That should call for an investigation by the FBI, or since Holder is in charge, maybe the Boy Scouts. Something else really smells in this administration.

Taxes? Rules? Laws?

Those are for Little People. Like you. Like me. The unsophisticated, who still think in quaint terms of [ha, ha, ha] "right and wrong."

But hey, what laws does their boss obey? He´s not even legally qualified to hold the office!

FTA: The newest IRS report, distributed to news media in document form, shows that almost 312,000 federal employees and retirees are behind in their taxes, an increase of 12% in delinquencies in one year. As of last September, they owed a total of $3.52 billion, up $100 million since the previous audit.

Uhhh, looks like there´s a bigger problem than the White House staff cheats.

And note the 12% one-year increase in delinquencies. How could that happen in the teeth of this roaring economic recovery?

Reply 11 - Posted by: john56, 3/11/2013 11:24:06 AM     (No. 9219277)

Even better ... the White House will issue a press release, stating that all 40 of these miscreants have been fired.

And we´ll find out next week that all 40 really weren´t fired, they were moved to other federal jobs. And guess what? They all get raises which should cover their tax liability (which they still won´t pay).

I´m just not sure about this story. How much was past due last year AFTER April 15th? Could it be that most of the data in the statistics is for taxes that are typically paid in full on or by April 15th? I would like to know how much was still owed last year after April 15th. And if these people are obeying the law about quarterly payments.

The IRS should be embarrased to keep putting out these reports. Why aren´t they garnishing their wages? That´s what they would do to us if we didn´t pay our taxes or we would be in jail. This is the same IRS that´s going to be handling the Obamacare program. I just get all warm and fuzzy thinking about how this government operates. Every program they handle is a complete failure.

Hi, everybody. Our top priority as a nation, and my top priority as President, must be doing everything we can to reignite the engine of America’s growth: a rising, thriving middle class. That’s our North Star. That must drive every decision we make. Now, yesterday, we learned that our businesses created 95,000 new jobs last month. That’s about 500,000 new jobs this year, and nearly 6.5 million new jobs over the past three years. But we’ve got more work to do.

In a swift and strange reversal, Obama administration officials Thursday rushed to play down their own recent announcements of defensive U.S. military movements in response to threats and provocations from North Korea. The hereditary Communist dictatorship of the Kim family that took over the North after World War II has always been quirky, unpredictable and, well, mentally unbalanced by any modern governing standards. The country would be cinematically comical and worthy of a Peter Sellers role were the rogue regime not actively developing nuclear weapons and long-distance missiles to deliver or orbit them.

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz has called for the complete legislative repeal of ObamaCare and its replacement by comprehensive healthcare reforms that actually increase patient choice, decrease the role of government bureaucrats and disconnect health insurance from employment. "If you lose your job," Cruz said, "you don´t lose your house, life or car insurance. They go with you wherever you go." It should be the same for health insurance. In a wide-ranging exclusive interview with IBD´s weekly M&M podcast, the Texas freshman said, "Our first priority is repealing ObamaCare and repealing it in its entirety.”

Well, now three years later that´s happening and a lot of people are not liking what they see. Remember how ObamaCare was going to save you money? Not going to happen. Premiums are going up, some by as much as 100%. And a new study by the nonpartisan Society of Actuaries finds that on average insurers will have to pay 32% more for claims under ObamaCare.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
