| If you’ve ever tried to defend the validity of global warming to someone who doesn’t believe in it, you’ve probably heard them say, “The Earth thawed itself out of an Ice Age once before and no one called that global warming!” But science is proving that our current warming trends aren’t on par with our previous ones at all; new research evidences that what we’re facing now is truly unprecedented. (Snip) We´re not supposed to be warming up at all. Were it not for man-made industry, the planet would still be in a cooling phase and getting colder.

Over the last 600 million years the Earth´s temperature has varied between 10 and 25 degrees C several times. We are currently near the low end of that range at approximately 14 degrees. The temp has been trending up for centuries, and will continue until the planet reach 25 degrees again.
It is easy for these yahoos to predict something that we already know will happen whether mankind is here or not.

The author is incorrect, regarding the last 10 years. No mention of the 1500 year cycle. Extreme weather is nothing new, if you read history. The warm-ups over the last 100 years, occurred in two spans (1910-1945 and 1979- 2000).

Cherry-picking statistics is not good science. It´s not even good journalism. It´s propaganda. If global warming is indeed happening, manmade or not, how about putting some effort in learning how to live with it?
One of the chief "moderate" arguments I hear is: "Even if it´s not manmade what´s wrong with clearing the carbon out of our atmosphere?"
You don´t have any scientific proof that carbon is causing warming, or that abnormal warming is even happening. So you want to destroy our economy, starve billions of people, and ship us all back a thousand years to satisfy your religious adhesion to what is, at best, a theory?

Apparently this meatball hasn´t read the research from the UKMET office (Britain) which reports that in the last 15 years the average global temperature has not moved a tick. That also includes our own NWS´s and FAA transitioning to automated (ASOS) platforms and in some instances positioning them in the worst possible location. The NCDC (U.S. climate center) has also been playing with historical temperatures to magnify any little recent warming. This is what you get when you fuel agenda driven research with money!

The real problem with AGW is that it is really several theories combined. For example, you have to believe:
- temperature is warming.
- the warming is primarily caused by human activity.
- human activity is causing warming by way of greenhouse gases.
- the warming caused by humans does more harm than good.
- policies to reduce greenhouse gases will be effective and worth the cost.
If any of these are not true then the whole thing falls apart. Furthermore, many of these are dependent on other theories regarding the measurement of temperatures and greenhouse gas levels in the distant past.

SAN FRANCISCO — California lawmakers are considering taking some tax exemptions away from youth groups that do not accept gay, transgender or atheist members — a move intended to pressure the Boy Scouts of America to lift its ban on gay Scouts and troop leaders. Some cities have withdrawn free rent and other subsidies from the Boy Scouts over the years, but legislation introduced by state Sen. BOISE, Idaho — Authorities in eastern Idaho are investigating the shooting deaths of two men and a woman whose bodies were found in a home that contained a marijuana grow operation. The deaths took place sometime between Thursday afternoon and evening by someone who had some type of relationship with the victims, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said. The bodies were discovered Friday outside Holbrook, a town of about 400 people just north of the Idaho-Utah state line. Authorities said a 2-month-old was found under the arm of one of the victims — 27-year-old Yavette Chivon Carter.
