| A coalition of Ratzingerians and Italians have apparently lined up some 40 votes for Cardinal Scola, and the Curia are fighting back with Cardinal Scherer. If there’s white smoke after the first few ballots — i.e., on Wednesday — that’s probably a sign that Scola’s backers have turned it into a straight-up two-man race, and that most cardinals have decided to back Scola against the Curia. But if the conclave goes into a second full day, and balloting continues on Thursday, that will mean Scola has faltered, and the cardinals are looking to a compromise choice.

Good one #1. It would be a blessed beverage for sure. Thankfully, whoever is chosen will chose a new name. I say to the media: let the process work and stop trying to preempt the outcome. It´s a bad habit they´ve acquired and I wish they´d quit doing it to everything; like speeches, voting results, etc.

Here in America we don´t use Cardinals. We use the socialist media propaganda arm of the White House to select the candidate we will be allowed to put into the race. They choose people like John McCain or Bob Dole for us. Smoke and mirrors are then expertly manipulated to make certain he doesn´t win. We are told this is how a democracy works. Millions believe it .

WORCESTER - The body of Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been buried somewhere outside of Massachusetts, according to a funeral home official briefed on the situation. The official said that the remains of the suspected Boston Marathon bomber were removed sometime before midnight Wednesday from the Graham Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors where his body has been since last Friday. The D.C. Court of Appeals will allow several employers to move forward with a lawsuit that would prevent the National Labor Relations Board from ruling on their cases. Three companies had sued the NLRB on the grounds that it did not have the authority to rule on labor disputes. The motion of consolidation issued by the judges will combine the suits and allow them to move forward with oral arguments scheduled for September. Glenn Taubman, a lawyer with the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, hailed the victory as another step forward to restoring balance in labor disputes.

In 2002, the U.S. military had just two kinds of camouflage uniforms. One was green, for the woods. The other was brown, for the desert. Then things got strange. Today, there is one camouflage pattern just for Marines in the desert. There is another just for Navy personnel in the desert. The Army has its own “universal” camouflage pattern, which is designed to work anywhere. It also has another one just for Afghanistan, where the first one doesn’t work. Even the Air Force has its own unique camouflage, used in a new Airman Battle Uniform. But it has flaws.

Northwestern University continued to stumble over diversity issues this week as Mexican students voiced disagreement with a campuswide letter that advised students not to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by engaging in racially-offensive activities, such as eating tacos and drinking tequila. Fans of Glenn Beck are complaining about what I wrote yesterday about his speech at the National Rifle Association convention, where he used a giant image of Michael Bloomberg photoshopped into what appeared to be an image of Hitler with his arm raised in a Nazi salute and wearing an armband. The Beck crowd now tells me that it wasn’t Hitler’s picture into which the New York mayor was transposed but that of Communist leader Vladimir Lenin. They say that means I owe Beck an apology along with the Anti-Defamation League and others who were also outraged by it.
