| Hello. I’m Jeff Sessions from Alabama, Ranking Republican on the Senate Budget Committee. It’s my privilege to speak with you today before the Senate considers a budget plan next week. Congress has an obligation to adopt a budget that does the most good for the most people. Washington, D.C. provides a troubling illustration of our challenges. No city in America relies more on the federal government than Washington. Federal money pours every single day into every part of the city. Despite this fountain of federal funds, 1 in 3 children still live in poverty in our nation’s capital.

If only more than a handful of Republican or democrat senators believed what Sen Sessions said, we´d be 1000% better off.
Sadly, e majority of the Repubs are no different than what he paints the Dems as.

All my life libs have tried to clothe the nation´s problems and the solutions to those problems in a fog of complication. Far too complicated to be understood or solved by common sense.
Sessions is a national treasure. He refuses to respect the pettifogging coming out of D.C.

At 66 years old I have been around as an adult to see it all happen since LBJ´s Great Society. The Democrats gained their foothold by denouncing their racist history ( for political gain only) and establishing themselves as the caretakers of the poor and downtrodden and the champion for minorities. After successfully outbidding the Republicans for votes it has metasticized into what we have today; the same poverty rates we had in the beginning the destruction of minority families and the bankruptcy of the nation.
This can only end one way.....badly. Liberalism only moves one direction ...... in a downward spiral destroying all in its path. It cannot be stopped because it is driven by human nature. And human nature only changes when it hits a wall and is forced to change due to the pain inflicted. We are not there yet.......but it´s coming.

Yes....sadly, it is the generosity of the productive class which enables the fledgling Marxists to spread and grow like weeds, choking out all productive activity in the name of ´fairness´.
But.....like many private charities, they keep 98% of the proceeds to build their personal and institutional power bases.
Refusing to be drawn into any type of meaningful debate on the issues wasn´t good enough,...no, they need to PROHIBIT the use of thousands of words and phrases from the language.
That, in itself, puts writers and thinkers and poets and everyone squarely into an intellectual gulag.
I´m sick of it.

From up here, 240 miles above Broadway, New York City can look like a pretty nice place. No traffic. No garbage. No smells. No crime. And no nanny Napoleons issuing edicts over spices, soft drinks and cups. In a swift and strange reversal, Obama administration officials Thursday rushed to play down their own recent announcements of defensive U.S. military movements in response to threats and provocations from North Korea. The hereditary Communist dictatorship of the Kim family that took over the North after World War II has always been quirky, unpredictable and, well, mentally unbalanced by any modern governing standards. Well, now three years later that´s happening and a lot of people are not liking what they see. Remember how ObamaCare was going to save you money? Not going to happen. Like many holidays, Easter is often associated with family memories. For me, Easter is associated with the memory of other families. It was 1975 just before Easter. The Vietnam war was ending ignominiously, with President Ford promising full American support right up through the time we left thousands of South Vietnamese sympathizers behind to confront new Communist rulers. Or risk death at sea as desperate boat people. Thanks to a tip from intelligence sources that the end of South Vietnam was near, my news employer had arranged to evacuate its two local Vietnamese interpreters and their extended families to Guam.

Now that Barack Obama has finished his last election campaign, he´s back fundraising again. Yup. And he´d like at least $5 from you right away. These electronic Obama fundraising missives are always about money, even after an historic record number of fundraisers throughout 2011 and 2012 and the incumbent´s estimated $1 billion, second winning presidential campaign, which saw him actually reap millions fewer votes than the first one. The messages are usually filled with ominous talk of fights and struggles against unnamed, but evil special interests.

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

SANFORD - Trayvon Martin´s parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed.
