Her statement only makes sense if she believes that all wealth actually belongs to the govt -- and that by allowing people to keep the wealth that they have, the govt is "spending" by giving "the govt´s wealth" to the people.

It is part of the game and commonplace to call political adversaries stupid. In the majority of cases this is more rhetoric than reality and at the least a considerable exaggeration. But in the strange case of Nancy Pelosi, the shoe fits. This really is a stupid woman. Almost everything she says in public that is reported indicated markedly limited intellectual ability. She is nowhere near as intelligent as her job description would seem to require. Nevertheless, there she is, stubborn and persistent as a fungus. She won´t go away. She even thrives. She gives the appearance of success. Some people even praise her.

How can this be? What hidden, unknown, but marvelously potent alchemy is there that transforms a woman of obviously, even painfully and embarrassingly modest mental abilities into an Amazon of political power? Obama is half-black and talks like a dime store version of Tony Robbins. What is Nancy Pelosi´s secret?

Therefore, any reduction of taxes is viewed as the governmnent SPENDING it on YOU. What the state ALLOWS you to keep you should be thankful for.

The Soviets did this with food. They declared all food the property of the state. All farm produce was the propety of the state, was required to be turned over to the state, and holding any back because you were hungry was a serious crime. What happened when the state stopped shipping food back INTO the Ukraine? Google "holodomor." 4 million people starved to death. There were bodies littering the roads because there was no one left alive to bury them. Now THAT´s a Death Panel!

Since we are no longer an agricultural nation, we are controllable by controlling the money. You REALLY think it can´t happen here?

If all government spending is "good" and "stimulates the economy, howcome the war in Iraq is a "drag" on things??? If Cash For Clunkers was a big success-taking working vehicles and crushing them-because the need to replace them is a rise in spending, why isn´t replacing vehicles blown up by a roadside bomb just as "stimulative"? Why isn´t the replacement of all that ordinance and all those missiles stimulative????

So one of her big spending cuts was ending the Payroll Tax Holiday. That was Obama´s idea originally and he also demanded it be extended. But that is only $100 billion this year and you only get credit for ending the bad idea once. And its increased revenue not spending reduction. And you raised taxes on the rich, but you can only count that revenue. It doesn´t matter that a decade a go that was part of a tax reduction.

#6 is, of course, spot-on.

Treating privately-held assets and property as really belonging to the government´s is an evil, oppressive ideology. When applied in a country like the U.S., though (where the highest law of the land was founded on the primacy of the people over the government), it´s certifiably idiotic, as well.

So Nancy can be both an ideologue and stupid. (The two tend to go hand-in-hand, anyway.)
