Nothing much happened? CNN is reporting that 60,000 border patrol agents are being furloughed. This is Obama´s way of making sure the cuts are painful as possible for political gain so he can blame the Republicans. There is absolutely no need to do this, Obama is the most hateful, petty, despicable, vengeful President this country has ever had. He will harm this country without hesitation and could care less.

I work in DOD and I can tell you we are in chaos right now. Program managers can´t prepare good budgets, travel and schools have been severely restricted, building maintenance is not being done and audit and inspections are being cut back. This all leads to a less capable work force, a deteriorated infrastructure and more risk for you the tax payer.

#1, such action is a tacit admission by the ´friend of Latino´ Democrat party that illegal immigration is a huge problem and that Mexicans streaming across the border are about as interested in freedom as I am interested in the WNBA. They want the goodies. Yours, mine or Uncle Sam´s.

Premature submission.
#3, I sympathize with any L dotter´s personal plight but what you are describing is part and parcel of every business day in the private sector. A ´good budget´ is a theoretical proposition since our cash flow is strictly a product of our own and/or our company´s efforts in selling products and services. We are at the mercy of the market and we can´t rely on nicking a chunk of someone else´s paycheck even if the amount may vary a bit. To drive around the Beltway is to see unending expanses of gleaming buildings. Frugality is not a word that comes to mind when beholding the New Rome.
I realize DOD has a unique job to do but the question remains the same: why is government immune to hard times and contingency planning? Assuming government employs at least some conscientious, honest people, why have these individuals never formed a coalition of whistleblowers regarding past or present excesses?

A coral reef in Northern Australia severely damaged by warming seas has managed to completely heal itself in just 12 years, stunned researchers have found. The team found that being left alone to breed on its own was key. The discovery raises hope that other damaged reefs could ´regenerate´. The new research shows that an isolated reef off the northwest coast of Australia that was severely damaged by a period of warming in 1998. It was hit by coral bleaching, caused by higher water temperatures that break down the coral´s symbiotic relationship with algae that provide food for coral growth.

The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
