| RUSH: Let´s go to the audio sound bites. I mentioned that the president is having a little trouble here with the sequester and the White House tours being shut down. In fact, in Politico there´s a story: "Now Democrat Worry: Did President Obama Cry Wolf? -- President Barack Obama hopes to spark a pitchfork revolt against Republicans over sequester-induced budget cuts -- but many Democrats fret that he’s undermined that effort with an early strategy marred by hype, poor planning and muddled messaging."

Even if it is our White House, I would not visit it during an Obama administration. I could not stand the references to the current president.

I visited the White House in December. They checked my and it took a few minutes to get to the main House. I saw no more than ten WH employees. (many more Christmas volunteers).

I´ve toured the WH twice, both during the Reagan years. The public tour was a disappointment - you wait in line for ages and then all you see are the china patterns and a few of the public ceremonial rooms. The other tour was a private one with a friend who was Secret Service and on WH duty. It was in the evening and we got to see the Oval Office, conference rooms etc that the public never sees except in photos or on TV. The Reagans were at their ranch in California at the time. Still, it was a thrill to be there while he was in office. I wouldn´t go near the place now - too much filth and evil emanating from it.

in 1988, we went to the WH. It was one of the special weekends she the tour is of the yard and Rose Garden. Sorry, no taking photos inthe Rose Garden. I took a photo of the kids outsde the Rose Garden.
I´ll be going to DC next week with the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce. We will go to the Capitol etc. No liquids, no food, no this, no that. Dont´ know if I should wear a garbage bag, hospital gown (got´cha) or a POW outfit.

Things are starting to get very interesting, actuarially-speaking. Federal bankruptcy judge Christopher Klein ruled on April 1 that Stockton, Calif., can file for bankruptcy via Chapter 9 (Chapter 11´s ugly cousin). There used to be a formulation of cynical news editors to determine American news priorities for mass murder. It ran something like: 1,000 dead Bangladeshis = 100 dead Italians = 10 dead Americans. So how many dead American babies does it take to make the news? I wrote two-and-a-half weeks ago about the U.S. media’s determination to ignore a story that’s inconvenient to their biases. But, given the gun-banners’ ceaseless grief-feasting on Sandy Hook, at some point doesn’t the corpse count in Philadelphia merit maybe, oh, a thousandth of the attention?
