Rand Paul R-Ky continued his filibuster on the Senate floor. Yes, but it´s time for Senators like Paul and Cruz who coud care less if the MSM rants or not. Way too many Republicans make their decisions based on media reaction rather than what is best for their country. Thank you notes already on the way to Senators Toomey and Johnson for their help! #2, I heard Graham´s response too. He and McCain just jealous because the media attention was Paul/Cruz 24/7 yesterday.

I don´t have a problem with them going to dinner with Obama. They don´t need an accusation that Republicans boycotted his invitation to dinner....won´t sell well in Flyover.
As long as they don´t get bedazzled in the face of all that power and all that "I-can-turn-it-on-when-I-want-to" charm.
After dinner Senators Toomey and Johnson did the right thing and supported Rand Paul. Senators Graham and McCain have been around the block enough to know better than to boycott the Rand Paul Show.
They´d have done well to join the fun at the filibuster. For one thing, that´s where the cameras were.

I, too, am not concerned about the dinner. That had been on the calendar for awhile.
But I think we are witnessing the first shot of the country dividing into distinct thirds. Time for Republican senators to figure out if they are with the Paul/Cruz wing or the McCain/Graham.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell´s campaign has contacted the FBI after a recording of a private strategy meeting was published Tuesday in a liberal publication, claiming the campaign was the victim of "Watergate-style tactics" to bug the office. Several snippets of the audio from the February strategy sessions were published Tuesday by Mother Jones magazine, along with a lengthy article. The recording, obtained from an unnamed source, included McConnell aides discussing ways to politically damage actress Ashley Judd, who at the time was talked about as a possible McConnell challenger.
