The government issues a detailed report each month that estimates the number of people who are either unemployed or underemployed and looking for work. The persistently high numbers — especially for young people and minorities — tell a very sad story for the individuals, their families and the country, as well. But there´s an even more portentous unemployment story unfolding today that receives almost no attention at all. There is a good deal of "Small Business" being conducted by this segment of men. As the government becomes more "Extractive" there will always develop a ´Black Market´ (Free Market)in labor and goods.
One does not need a boss and a salary to be productive.
Building a ´survival´ strategy (rural farm) which will provide food and water when it can no longer be purchased at the store is what my ´unemployed´ friends are doing these days.

Charles Murray is not referring to you or your friends.
He is referring to the males in Fishtown who thirty years ago would have been marrieds working with children who are now single, living off their girlfriends and having children - they don´t support.
The high rates of illegitimacy and irresponsibility are not just in the black community.
The children are the victims and the pattern repeats itself as they be me the irresponsible victimizes with their government checks.

Concur with #1. Bums, dead beats, moochers, and freeloaders have been part of our society since day one. The difference is that their ranks are growing along with the ´women" who seem to be OK with supporting these losers. Increasingly our ´men" have regressed back to "boyz."
What is fairly new to our society is the rising numbers of industrious and intelligent folks who decided to go Galt.
It is my duty to help and assist the truly needy. it is not my duty to support losers.

The second presidential debate is over, and to almost no one's surprise, the president gave a better performance than he did last week. Snap polls after the debate, in fact, said the president performed narrowly better than Mitt Romney.
