We all, here, lament our future. But what does constant preaching to the choir (however eloquent...) accomplish other than torrents of stomach acid? How do we turn this around? Specifics, please.

First.....given that you have but one life to live, get rural. Make it more difficult for the government or any of it´s agents to get in your business. Simple geographic separation from high density areas will cause you to become more independent, self reliant and harder for the government to mess with.

This does not save the country but it will save enough of us to make it possible to continue the hard work of promoting Liberty for all and perhaps by.....´any means necessary´.

Fear of our own government is an issue I have talked about for a long time. For me, it started with IRS, which can take your property, take you to prison and other bad things. The EPA can condemn your land, without taking it and compensating you, fine you, drag you to court and otherwise abuse property rights. Most any federal agency can abuse your Conitutinal rights, without fear of punishment. You can´t sue these people because they are proected by the government. How often can the average person afford to sue the government (without chance of success)?

When people fear their government and become programmed to ask permission for everything they do in their lives, they are living in a country that is turning them into peasants and slaves.

Hopefully what we say here is given a larger audience when tidbits turn up on Hannity or Rush´s shows (without crediting Lucianne unfortunately). I´ve seen it happen. Still preaching to the choir but a larger choir and the left listens in.

Now, if they would open their eyes and mouths and spread the word about how Homeland is quietly preparing for war on American citizens we´d all be better off. Levin is way out in front of them on that.

I´ll hand it to Rush as he has actually referred to Obama as a dictator for two days now. The dots are now out in the open to connect. The skeleton of Obama´s Civilian Security Force is being constructed right before our eyes.

I´ve been taking online courses at Hillsdale College. Last evening I listened to a lecture on the Greeks, as part of Hillsdale´s "Western Heritage" online course. The Greeks equated politics with action, "doing". And they had a saying:

"We do not say that a man who takes no interest in politics is a man who minds his own business. We say he has no business here at all."

Now I understand that most posters here take an interest in politics. OK, well and good. Preaching to the choir? Also good. Because apparently there are some in the choir who need to begin "doing".

And please keep in mind that everyone visiting here isn´t part of the "choir", but they may join, and by joining take action.

This is frightening but not the first time this has been discussed. It needs to be discussed more. So far, Rand Paul seems to be the only public political voice to do it.

As a Jew, I fear the beginning of history repeating itself. The similarities in cultural transformations and domestic issues between America in 2013 and Germany circa 1933 are quite frightening.

The military is probibited from killing US citizens. That is why DHS has just ordered 50 mil worth of uniforms, 1Bil in bullets and over 2000 light armored tanks.
