Whisper campaign:
Jeb is old news

Washington Examiner, by Paul Bedard

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 3/6/2013 2:09:03 PM

Wednesday´s Washington snow storm cancelled former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush´s latest media tour to promote his book on immigration and feed his burgeoning presidential campaign, but that didn´t stop the conservative whisper campaign denouncing his moderate policies. Several conservative activists, lobbyists and Hill staffers told Secrets that Bush missed his chance to run for president in 2012 and that his new support for taxes and an immigration policy that clashes with the latest GOP star, Sen. Marco Rubio, also of Florida, leaves him out in the cold. "Jeb Bush is so yesterday´s potatoes," said a key conservative source.

Comments:
Someone finally says it. We don´t need another Bush or another Clinton in the White House. We need fresh blood and not those who somehow feel entitled to that position. That´s one of the reasons why Republicans have lost because they run those who they feel are entitled to it.

Somewhere in Florida there is a sinkhole just waiting...

The recent tragic sinkhole loss was named Jeff Bush.

Will there be another with a similar name attached to it?

Or will it be eventually our cesspool of national politics that claims another victim?

Stay tuned...

The Establishment push for their favorite "next in line" candidate is what´s the old news. They´ll keep it up until they are stopped. Stop them: new party.

Don´t whisper it: shout it.

(In anticipation of the gratuitous "this will only guarantee Democrat victories" post: the Dems are having their way with a GOP House majority, despite what may have been a sequestration "head fake". Stand firm on the minor issue so as to cave on the big issues. What´s the point of a GOP majority if it will not aggressively assert its power?)

Huge G.H.W.B. and G.W.B. fan and voted for both -- twice. But, we don´t need another Bush to distract from the important issues we face in the future. With another Bush running, all the focus will be on GWB, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Bush´s Fault, etc

Reply 10 - Posted by: bighambone, 3/6/2013 6:04:56 PM     (No. 9211993)

Jeb Bush is now taking a libertarian approach to solving the illegal alien problem. It amounts to simply giving just about all illegal aliens permanent residence (green cards) and changing the visa laws so that just about all aspiring future illegal aliens can easily apply for a green card and walk into the USA. In his mind that would solve the problem.

But what happens to American workers when the government allows what amounts to an unlimited supply of cheap foreign labor into the USA, as such a massive new glut of foreign workers entering the legal US job market would no doubt cause a general lowering of wages in any US industry where they could be employed. If that happened a huge number of American workers and especially American black workers would never be able to find any sort of job that payed more then the minimum wage. That would not only happen in blue collar jobs, but also in many professional fields, but also in the medical field where with immigration reform a huge number of third world doctors and nurses would be allowed in to staff Obamacare facilities all over the country. All that is called the law of supply and demand.

CNN correspondent Soledad O´Brien, known for her "Black in America" documentaries that sometimes irk viewers, is now turning her cameras on whites. She says in a statement to Secrets: "We´re not just working on ´BIA,´ but also developing a ´White in America.´ Stay tuned for that one." Her statement came in reaction to a Secrets story about her appearance in a short video posted by Harvard University´s Institute of Politics, based in part on a speech she gave to the college about race and her "Black in America" series.

Federal officials used the power of the state to intimidate and harass critics of President Obama and the federal government. When the higher levels of the Internal Revenue Service learned that one office was inappropriately targeting Tea Party groups, these officials nevertheless denied it -- until they were forced to fess up. If you needed another reason to distrust your government and oppose its expansion, the IRS just gave it to you. Judging by available evidence and an inspector general´s report released this week, the story here is not a Nixonian White House using all of government´s tools

Deep in the list of taxes that the president´s Obamacare plan will hit Americans with is a 40 percent excise tax on health plans typical union members have, especially in Midwest states, according to a new analysis. The Obamacare tax won´t take place until 2018, but when it does it will smack high cost, or so-called "Cadillac" health insurance plans, according to the group Americans for Tax Reform. "This tax will most directly affect union families and early retirees, who are likely to be covered by such plans," said ATR in a review of upcoming tax

People may recall that in Barack Obama’s June 4, 2009 speech in Cairo, the president promised a “new beginning” based on “mutual respect” with the Arab and Islamic world. Mr. Obama’s own background, his eagerness to apologize for America, and willingness to engage the Arab world would usher in an unprecedented era of cooperation. Mr. Obama said, “We have the power to make the world we seek.” He added: but only if we have the courage to make a new beginning, keeping in mind what has been written. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters Tuesday that Republicans are “hyperventilating about Benghazi,” and "President Obama was absolutely right to call this a sideshow." “They’re hyperventilating about Benghazi. President Obama was absolutely right to call this a sideshow. This is about smear politics and nothing else,” Reid said. As CNSNews.com previously reported on Monday, Obama called the congressional probe of the Benghazi attack a “political circus” and a “sideshow,” adding that there’s “no there, there.” The controversy over talking points was politically motivated, Obama said. Obama and administration officials had claimed the Benghazi terrorist attack

As a metaphor for big government, it is hard to top the Justice Department’s seizing of journalists’ phone records from The Associated Press. Unless, of course, you think the best example is the Internal Revenue Service turning the screws on groups it viewed as conservative and, therefore, unworthy of fair treatment. Or maybe the winner is the sneaky spreading of ObamaCare’s tentacles, with insurance companies now predicting the law will drive up the cost of individual premiums by as much as 400 percent. One Democrat who likes Obama and has been around town for many years said elected officials in his own party are no different than Republicans: they think the president is distant and unapproachable. “He has never taken the Democratic chairs up to Camp David to have a drink or to have a discussion,” the longtime Washingtonian said. “You gotta stroke people, and talk to them. Attorney General Eric Holder has recused himself from the Associated Press leak investigation. He will officially announce his recusal at a press conference Tuesday afternoon. Fox News is reporting his recusal comes partially because Holder has testified about potential national security leaks surrounding a May 7, 2012 Associated Press story. Yesterday, the Associated Press revealed the Department of Justice had been secretly monitoring both the personal and work phones of numerous AP editors and reporters. DOJ responded to these revelations by releasing the following

Washington -- The Internal Revenue Service has identified two "rogue" employees in the agency´s Cincinnati office as being principally responsible for "overly aggressive" handling of requests by conservative groups for tax-exempt status, a congressional source told CNN. In a meeting on Capitol Hill, acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller described the employees as being "off the reservation," according to the source. It was not clear precisely what the alleged behavior involved. Miller said the staffers have already been disciplined, according to another source familiar with Miller´s discussions with congressional investigators.
