JihadWatch.com wins CAPC
´People´s Choice Award´ but

In a shocking development that should alert all conservatives to behind-the-scenes manipulation of CPAC and other conservative organizations, the winner of the voting for an important award for bloggers has been barred from receiving it. Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs reports: I was surprised and honored that Jihad Watch was among the nominees for the People´s Choice Blog Award, sponsored by Right Wing News and TheTeaParty.net, to be awarded at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2013. (snip) As you can see from the vote above, Jihad Watch won decisively, getting over 50% of the vote in a field of fifteen.

Apparently CPAC is no longer as conservative as it would have you believe, or as it´s name implies. There is a concerted effort by establishment organizations from both parties to infiltrate both old and new conservative movements in order to influence them in less conservative directions. This is a tactic as old as politics itself. There is never a shortage of people willing to sell out a cause, no matter how worthy, if the price is right.

I posted the following on the American Thinker site a few minutes ago and just wonder if others are noticing the kind of glaring errors like the one in the headline of this article.

Please, Thomas . . . you are the editor of AT. Why do you not proofread your editorials before posting them? This headline is typical of the carelessness to be found in many of your articles which is very off putting. I know someone will probably say, "But, we know what he meant." Well, color me picky, but I expect more from this site.

I know Suhail Khan. He is a friend of mine and a proud Muslim, like many of you are proud Christians/Jews/whatevers. Just because some evil Muslims have done awful things does not and cannot infect all practicing Muslims. I have witnessed the ugly confrontational tactics used against Suhail at the 2012 CPAC-these idiot activist hijack seminars on ecumenical understanding. Disgusting. Suhail is a Reagan Republican and proudly so. He is attacked because of his father and his authentic rise through the conservative movement.

#5, all you say may be true, but the issue is that the "People´s Choice Award" was overruled by those supporting Norquist and Khan. If these men are the paragons of virtue that you claim, then why interfere with the Award and not just allow open, honest debate between parties? Is that not one of the features of being a conservative?

And by the way, Colin Powell has claimed to be a Reagan Republican as well.

This is extremely troubling.
Here is the JihadWatch.com website for those who want more detail:
http://www.jihadwatch.org/

From Jihad Watch:
"At the event, Khan shared his experiences from "inside" the White House, and praised his late father, Mahboob Khan, for helping found ISNA -- which the government now says is a front for the radical Muslim Brotherhood and has raised money for jihad."

#5, Mr. Khan is not being attacked for the reasons you state. (and I´m not convinced the word "attacked" is accurate)
According to the website, he is closely linked with Islamic terrorism.
Most of us are becoming uncomfortably aware of the Islamic threat. Islam is incompatible with liberty. It makes no sense for Mr. Khan to claim conservatism. It sounds more like taqqyia to me.

Conservatives beware.

Yes, any religion that has as one of its major tenets an encouragement to lie to non believers in the furtherance of its spread is highly suspect and is not benign. The history of Islam tells us everything we need to know about it. It is a cancer on the planet and stands for the antithesis of the basic beliefs of Western Civilization.

America in Decline

When Barack Obama was running for president he promised, some say threatened, to fundamentally change America. The doubters now say he has fundamentally ruined America. Whichever way one views it, America is in serious decline. For a president that promised to reduce the national debt, Obama has added a massive seven trillion dollars to that debt. Under his presidency, America has accumulated as much new debt as it did in its first 227 years. He heads an Administration that produces food stamps, pries into people’s private lives, and sets government agencies against political opponents. Obama is following the guidebook of Saul Alinsky,

Jeff Bezos, the multi-billionaire (via Amazon.com) new owner of the Washington Post has got a messy situation on his hands, and unless he steps in, it appears that his new property is in danger of losing the prestige that was its primary asset. After a false hit piece on the Koch Brothers claiming they were the largest holder of Canadian oil sands land rights was devastatingly debunked by John Hinderaker of Powerline (see also: Washington Post busted!), the authors of the incorrect article responded conceding nothing, not apologizing or retracting their falsehoods, but only made their situation worse.

The Democrats’ game plan invoking Saul Alinsky’s rule # 13, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it,” has already reached the stage of self-parody when it comes to demonizing the Koch brothers. It’s time to star mocking them ruthlessly. Case in point: The New York Times. Richard Baehr points out that in an article on a PAC backing Senate Democrats: The name Koch or Kochs comes up 14 times. And it’s not that long an article. Harry Reid’s characterization of them is of course included. But there is no attempt to identify to what degree Kochs support Americans for

Without a steady stream of water and electricity, child-care service providers who typically operate out of their own homes could go out of business. Yet, hundreds of Rhode Island residents – not to mention others across the country -- who offer these services must now pay union dues that can be used to support lobbying efforts aimed at securing anti-energy regulations at odds with their best interests. Help is on the way in the form of First Amendment legal challenges filed in other states that have worked their way up to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Progressives pride themselves on their highly evolved psyches, their awe-inspiring good intentions and their admirable sense of right and wrong. Indeed, so sure are they that they are right, disagreement can only be an insult. Opposition triggers instant hatred, in a chorus chanted so loudly that nothing said, no evidence presented, will be heard or considered. Indeed, in order to cement a belief, whatever the left decides to believe magically becomes new science, granted an exemption from any sort of scientific process because the leftist has declared that a consensus of leftists makes something scientific. When we remember the Jewish children thrown alive into ditches by the Nazis and then think about the little girls outside Walmart selling cookies, it seems an offense to decency to suggest any comparison between the Bund Deutsche Madel (League of German Girls, or BDM) and the Girl Scouts. Nevertheless, both Nazism and post-1960s American feminism (neo-feminism in this essay) envision exclusionary, utopian socialist societies. Both indoctrinate girls from a young age to advance their visions. And there are parallels in structure, activities, and ethos.
