O´Reilly: ´You are lying, you are lying!´
Politico, by MACKENZIE WEINGER

Original Article

Posted By:Toledo, 3/6/2013 6:42:06 AM

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly on Tuesday night repeatedly accused liberal radio talk show host Alan Colmes of "lying" during a heated shouting match on "The O´Reilly Factor." O’Reilly kicked off his show by saying President Barack Obama does not want to “solve the fiscal mess" and that he is too focused on flipping the Republican-held House back to the Democrats to deal with the country´s economic issues. “That is very disturbing,” O’Reilly said. Fox News contributors Colmes and Monica Crowley then stopped by to discuss the issue — and Colmes and O’Reilly quickly found themselves at odds.

That dumbo Colmes is a passive-aggressive fool.

I know O´Reilly has many fans, but I cannot watch him because he seems so focused on having his own say that he gives his guests no opportunity to make their points. I´ve often tuned in, simply to hear O´Reilly´s guest, but it´s always a waste of effort. However, Alan Colmes is a liar and I´m pleased O´Reilly called him one.

The job of POTUS (Executive Branch) is smoothly "execute" laws and policies. odumbo refuses to do so. Instead, he uses to Executive Branch to advance his political agenda, tweak elections.

He is clearly not doing his job. Impeach him. Now.

Its an act to get ratings. And we fall for it. Reminds me of wrestling on TV.

I don´t watch any cable news talk shows and this is why.

Commies is an idiot. I don´t object to O´Reilly becoming overheated. My head explodes whenever Commies speaks. I object to O´Reilly having an idiot on his program. The ´drama´ that results is a weird form of entertainment. I just want to be informed; I don´t want to see spectacle featuring idiots.

The liberal commies DO lie.

If they are not being truthful, they are lying.

Colmes is a Progressive, apologist tool and I´m glad O´Reilly lit into him.

#2, StormCnter, I vote yours as post of the day. Expresses my feelings for a long time. O´Reilly never, ever shuts up and it totally ruins any points he makes. His guests are merely platforms for him to launch his opinions. I concur with much of what he says; however, I can´t stand to listen. In this case he´s right on, but his mouth and attitude kill the impact of his words.

Reply 11 - Posted by: mws50, 3/6/2013 7:22:21 AM     (No. 9210745)

Is Combes a liar, or is he too stupid to know he is lying? That could go either way...

Whenever I watch O´Reilly, I really miss William F. Buckley, Jr.

This is not an act to get ratings. Rather, it is "Mr. Fair" O"Reilly finally figuring out what OBama is up to and seeing our country dealt irreparable harm. He prided himself on his "fairness" re: Obama and now sees what the cost is.

Reply 14 - Posted by: nonsense, 3/6/2013 7:43:59 AM     (No. 9210775)

O´Reilly is the most watched show on tv in his group. He always heads the list at more than 3 million viewers. That said, I´d glad so many viewers watched him lose it with that idiot Colmes.

It finally got heated as a reflection of the frustration of Americans with the corrupt regime´s tactics.

I´m with #13. I think O´Reilly is really angry because he practically shilled for 0bama and now he sees the destruction that´s bringing. Too late, Bill, but it´s nice to see a liar called a liar.

Reply 16 - Posted by: Catherine, 3/6/2013 7:52:41 AM     (No. 9210786)

I agree # 15. I stopped watching after Obama´s first election because O´Reilly just slobbered all over the man and started every single segment saying "And Obama is right....." All it took was a trip to the White House and Obama had Bill by the whohas. Now, tho, since Obama has ignored Bill and didn´t go on his show during the last election - Billy boy is waking up to the disaster this ´president´ is becoming.

Can´t stand to watch O´Reilly. He loves the sound of his own voice. He asks his guests a question then interrupts and talks over them. I also hate the way he refers to people by their last name. I find it rude and obnoxious. Having said that, I think that Colmes could pi** off the Pope. He is a knee jerk liberal weasel. A true believing Kool Aid drinker. He has a superior attitude but has nothing to feel superior about.

I did not see the show because I can´t stand O´Reilly. He´s a narcissist. The best thing that ever happened to Sean Hannity was when Colmes left the show. Now I wish Fox would get rid of Shepard Smith.

I normally turn Colmes off, but I was glad to see O´Reilly get after him. What a progressive tool. I understand that when Colmes was born, the doctor slapped his mother.

Too little, too late, Mr. O. Where was you critical thinking in 2008? Was it too much to ask that you do your job and report the facts? You were so eager to give Obama the benefit of the doubt when everything indicated that he was a radical ideologue. You and your colleagues have done a terrible disservice to this country. Verbally beating up pathetic Alan Colmes does not make up for your lack of curiosity about Obama. You weren´t looking out for the folks then. You blew it and nothing will change that. Dramatic outrage is unbecoming too.

Why are all these Obamster shills, Colmes, Axelrod, Phlouffe, Sperling, Holder, Napalatano, Kerry, Brennan, Lew, Hagel, Seibilius, so UNATTRACTIVE?

Do you think it has to do with something INSIDE their hearts.....like evil unrelenting LYING?

Regarding O´Reilly and Obama, the first Fox News guy to interview candidate Obama, is now "chewing his own arm off" to avoid waking The Won, because he now looks a lot worse this morning than in the bar last night around closing time.

Reply 30 - Posted by: fed-up, 3/6/2013 8:32:35 AM     (No. 9210877)

I was watching last night and while it was nice to see Colmes called on the usual statements they make, it made me uncomfortable to watch O´Reilly lose it. He seems to be losing it with guests a lot anymore. I wouldn´t put it passed him to do it for ratings either, but if nothing else, if folks didn´t watch.. they are seeing it now. So, that´s a good thing.

The point was that Obama has not done anything.. except "propose" and talk about what he wants to do. And he´s right. The curtain is starting to fall in front of the wizard.

My life is more tranquil without him.

Reply 33 - Posted by: Avogadra, 3/6/2013 8:50:03 AM     (No. 9210910)

It sounds as if O´Reilly has started to consider the Limbaugh Theorem. Here´s the closest summary of it I could find:

even the people that voted for Romney -- do not associate Obama with any of the problems in the country. This is what you and I are gonna have to learn and learn fast. No matter what is said, no matter what evidence happens, no matter what´s reported, it will not be possible to connect Obama to the negativity that´s happening in the country today because he´s campaigning against it himself. That´s the reason for the perpetual, never-ending campaign. It is why, in eight years, he will never allow himself for even one day to be seen as actually governing or presiding over any of this.

It´s a brilliant strategy, really. It has been used by the most successful dictators. They are on the side of the people. Any horrible things that happen (increasing deficits, job losses, disappearing retirement investments, deterioration of health care, killing of children in the inner cities) can´t possibly be connected to them because they are opposed to those things.

I´m glad O´Reilly is finally waking up. May the rest of the country do so as well. Soon.

#22 is right. It made my stomach hurt when O´Reilly gave Obama a pass and kept saying he wasn´t a socialist. Too late now, Bill.

Reply 35 - Posted by: rmagnus, 3/6/2013 8:58:59 AM     (No. 9210932)

Fear of being called a racist is the problem here. OReilly, Krauthammer and others had to support Obama early if they ever wanted to be able to criticize him later without being called a racist.

The problem is an obviously unqualified and incomptent president can wreak havoc while people such as OReilly and Krauthammer insulate themselves from the racist charge.

We needed their voices 5 years ago when it wasn´t politically correct to criticize the black candidate. Rush and a few others were there early - but many were not. All this righteous indignation is too late now.

All Alan Colmes does is spout Democrat talking points. Back when he was on with Hannity, he continually talked over those he disagreed with. He made Keith Ellison look polite. Why is he still a Fox contributor?

Colmes always loved to steamroll people when he was on Hannity. It´s sorta nice to see O´R´s machine smash over his. Hope someday to see someone do this to the Bamster, but it will probably never happen.

a similar thing happened with Colmes and OReilly in May of 2011. The best part is watching Monica sit like the amused sister-in-law she, in fact, is, waiting until she´s allowed to make a point or two.

Granted, Alan Colmes is a say and do anything at any cost liberal who can be trusted to always spout the party line.

Motor Mouth O’Reilly can be trusted to make himself the star; the center of attention, even when his is only a supporting role. Absolutely no one is exempt from Bombastic Bill’s trademark insufferable interrupting.

O´Reilly is a "bloviating" obnoxious, self-promoting bully. Colmes is a pathetic, sniveling, pandering wimp. All theatrics to court ratings. Hannity´s ratings have been consistently going up for months now. If he isn´t yet in close contention with O´Reilly, he will be very soon.

Reply 52 - Posted by: Grambo, 3/6/2013 10:11:42 AM     (No. 9211105)

O´Reilly would save his guests a lot of time if he would just put up cardboard cutouts of them in the chairs. On his show he serves as both guest and host. Like Obama, it´s all about him. His mother should have taught him the old lesson, that you never learn anything with your mouth open.

Reply 53 - Posted by: little guy, 3/6/2013 10:15:36 AM     (No. 9211113)

First, Alan Colmes is a fraud. He started out as a stand up comic and couldn´t make a living. Then he developed a shtick which was a call in radio program where he would take the opposite view of the caller. You say black and he´d say white. Or vice versa, whichever worked. He soon realized it was funnier to attack the right than the left and so he became more "liberal" but just to make a living as a foil. That´s the role he plays now as he can´t make a living doing anything else. Down deep he doesn´t really believe 75% of what he espouses but he loves the paycheck.

Second, O´Reilly is finally looking at his own paycheck and making a connection. His contract is for $12 million a year and he has all those book royalties. He sees a fortune being taken out by the government and it is just getting worse ... and now Obama wants more. He finally dropped the veil and showed his true self. About time but the damage has been done. All evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing. Bill sat back and pretended to be fair while the crook robbed the house.

I watched O´Rielly go off on Colmes. He should not have called him a liar, for which he later apologized.

Other than that I understood that O´Rielly´s frustration was born from the fact that he finally realized what Obama is up to and simply lost it.

After all, recall his closing signature promise to viewers: "the spin stops here because we´re looking out for you."

We´re getting hosed by Obama and Colmes is cheerleading for this phony?

Alan Colmes has no opinions worth listening to. He needs to stay off Fox. Maybe CNN, MSNBC, or NBC will hire the lightweight. It´s enough we have to put up with Juan Williams.

Applauding O´Reilly for actually telling it like it is.

One reason I change channels when listening to various shows on FOX are the talking Democrat heads. They sit there and tell bold faced lies and are seldom called on them. They scream and talk over anyone that speaks the truth and is seldom called on it.

The whole Fox "fair and balanced" schtick was wearing thin years ago. To put on an intelligent guest like Crowley and balance her by putting on an idiot like Colmes is at best a waste of time. Murdoch was neutered by both the Saudi investment and the British wiretap case. Support Glenn beck and his Blaze network. You don´t have to watch idiots like Beckel and Colmes. Alan Colmes is an exasperating fool whose contributions to society could be listed on the back of a postage stamp using a magic marker.

The unasked, unanswered question that looms over these ridiculous dustups is why do otherwise intelligent people like Hume, Krauthammer, even bombastic O´Reilly, keep watering down their rhetoric by saying they can´t figure out why Obama behaves as he does. Two words open the Pandora´s Box full of all the clues necessary to solve their dilemma -- Cloward and Piven.

For whatever reason, they will not go there. Obama is following the C/P script closely and approving / encouraging the Saul Alinsky tactics from his Chicago thug lieutenants, albeit behind the scenes.

Obama is deceptive and cunning, but not near smart enough to be the author of this treachery. The men behind the curtain have to be found out, exposed, and eliminated if this war is to be won. Obama is just the top front man and is being bought with the ego aggrandizement he so desperately needs and the perks of the job he selfishly enjoys.
Michelle is right there lapping up the perks alongside of Barack.

For those of us old enough to remember, maybe it´s time to revive the famous catchphrase, "What a revoltin´ development this is!", the frequent exclamation of indignation uttered by Chester A. Riley (William Bendix) in the radio show, "The Life Of Riley".

I dropped friends like that years ago. I just will not associate with people like Beckel, Colmes, and Williams any more. They mean to destroy the country. Therefore I only watch O´Reilly for the short segment that Dennis Miller is on.

Rush said he is not Governing leading being a Prsident but his object is to secure the House next election. The rest of his occupancy (two years) will be to enact his Socialist innuendo to distribute the wealth Nationalise Health care ( European style). We´re watching a lot less cable news since November and almost never watch O´Reilly. Colmes is an ignorant leftist who uses wussification as a facade to seem correct when in fact, he is an idiot.

O´Reilly has become too aware of his huge presence as a factor for the "folks." Where was he prior to last November?

His Killing Lincoln is masterful.

I DVR the show because OReilly does have some interesting segments I wouldn´t see elsewhere. But usually I fast forward thru any Democrat strategist type - they´re all the same and spew the same garbage. But OR exploded with Colmes right off the bat and I was entertained by Colmes getting called out on his weasly lying. He´s such a tool of the left - no matter what it is he will defend it if it´s leftist. He has no real opinions of his own apparently.

On Imus this morning, of course he could be counted on to say "Colmes should have got up and left", he´s another shill.

O´Reilly did try to be so neutral on Obama for a long time and it was very irritating. He´s a smart guy, yet couldn´t see through Obama right away like most of us could.

Alan Colmes can infuriate the best of us. It is a challenge to watch and listen to that buffoon spew his ridiculousness all over the FOX news channel. He is absolutely devoid of the ability to reason and critically think. People like that scare me and are very dangerous to our American way of life. I would like to thank Mr. O´Reilly for his very passionate comments. His words were true and I bet millions of Americans feel exactly the same way. We need many more people to stand up and speak out righteously and without fear.

Like most folks in his profession, O´Reilly lives for Access. Access is the mother´s milk of high profile news and info shows. You can see that when BOR has Barbara Walters on to promo one of her shows. BOR isn´t particularly interested in her or her views... He does envy her record of Access through the years. BOR considers his interviews to be first rate and the best of them in his opinion were the couple he did with Obama where he proudly went mano a mano. He wanted more of that Obama access so he bent over backwards to go easy on Obama during the 2012 campaign. But to no avail... No interview. Obama didn´t need him. So now he´s overcompensating for all those pulled punches, furious now with Libs who defend Obama.

But BOR´s lost his judgement when he goes after a knee-jerk Lib clown like Colmes. Colmes every appearance diminishes BOR and FoxNews. BOR needs to settle down, find some mission Libs and confront them.

Reply 83 - Posted by: JudithC, 3/6/2013 2:41:26 PM     (No. 9211731)

BOR is a bully and full blown narcissist. All his "for the folks" routine is so old, tired, and as phony as he is. His routine with the women attorneys is embarrassing.

Now he gets excited when his hissy fit target is a dead flashlight? As all the other posters have already stated, he interrupts, non stop bloviates without letup, can annoy an audience to where it considers defenstration rather than having to listen to any more —it´s all about him. I stopped watching him when his telephone sexcapades with a couple of women became known and he was going to be sued big time—he´s the Fox version of Kenny Rodgers who did the same. Like Kenny, BOR had enough $$ to quickly pay off the women and stopped it cold...and it went away. The man is a pig.

I just watched the clip from this show. Typical BOR making a fool out of himself considering his target is an idiot who was born with a perpetual liberal grin to hide the fact that he´s minus a mind.

Funny, with all of the "can´t stand O´Reilly"-type comments, he still has the highest ratings. Flash- O´Reilly can do without such carping critics quite well. (How many $millions do the carpers make per year?)

O´Reilly DID miss the huge socialist boat on Obama, for the longest time, but even a stopped clock gets it right eventually. O´Reilly has given Obama every benefit of the doubt (none was needed) and now tells us exactly what he is, and his evil plans for America. We knew it ALL ALONG Bill!

That´s what all Marxist totalitarians do, lie, big time, lie to destroy America. The real bigger lie is that me, Bill O’Reilly, and all my buddies allow you to call yourselves the nice name of `liberal’, which means freedom. And worse we use that word also when referring to destructive commie robots like you, who secretly plot ruin and call themselves `liberal´ and ´progessive´ which they AREN´T !” (end quote) These are words we’d love to hear O’Reilly actually say. He will never say them. O´Reilly is no more honest than his socialist guest, Colmes. Like two TV wrestlers, they stage fake fights to get attenton to their daily drivel. O’Reilly could come clean, if he wanted to come clean. But, Colmes is a hopeless collectivist authoritarian big government spy. O’Reilly is loud and regularly stupid, has modest potential, but doesn’t show it. O’Reilly’s in it for laughs and big bucks. And has best sellers he doesn’t write, and the really funny Dennis Miller, for personal appearances and more bucks. (1) O´Reilly is wrong about the true nature of the current administration. Until he admits that, it is more entertaining to watch Matlock reruns on INSP. At least Ben Matlock is interested in the truth. ;-)
(2) Lately, The O´Reilly Factor seems more like a daily rehash of Drudge Report and Breitbart headlines. It lacks in-depth or original reporting.
(3) Fox News is losing me largely because of their too-frequent commercials. Guests have so little time in which to speak that they are forced to talk too fast - throwing words at the viewer in lieu of communicating with us.
(4) I do not object to the presence of sincere liberal voices on Fox News as much as I object to the growing dearth of sincere conservative voices. Their shift to the "political center" is a move to the political left where truth-tellers of either political party are not welcomed. How long before they are just like the rest of the MSM?

President Obama is giving back 5% of his $400,000 salary to show solidarity with federal workers hit by the dread sequester. That’s not much of a nick to a man who has no worries about living expenses and has plenty of independent income, to boot. But, hey, symbolism counts. It’s an appropriate gesture for a debate about debt and deficits that’s shallow, thanks in no small part to Obama. The dread sequester — remember that? — went into effect one month ago, following weeks of presidential fear-mongering about the automatic cuts.
