Black Socialist Pope to Follow
Black Socialist President?

Accuracy in Media, by Cliff Kincaid

With African Catholic Cardinal Peter Turkson in the running as the next pope, the media have noted that he carries the fancy title of the president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, an arm of the Vatican. But they have failed to note the existence of a left-wing lobby in the U.S. working feverishly on his behalf. It is the same group of radicals, with connections to billionaire hedge-fund operator George Soros, who backed Obama for president by claiming he shared their Catholic values. One of Turkson’s chief supporters in the U.S. appears to be Stephen Schneck,

You´ll never convince me that the current pope wasn´t thrown out of office,in an inside coup, influenced by outsider money people looking the destroy the church form the inside out. Popes just aren´t people who retire or quit their jobs,as long as they have a breath left in their body.My guess is they used some form of blackmail to get him to step down.

It´s beyond the left´s wildest dreams tat the next pope is an Obama like figure. The lofos, who hate most things religious will embrace him as a new member of the subculture.

What I expect to see is the Church assuming a big role is the world´s redistribution calls to help "poor people".I also expect to see the next pope embrace gay marriage and abortion to some degree. This is going o leave millions of Catholics around the world, abandoned by their own religion.

The sex abuse lawsuits were a lot more than some victims being compensated. It´s also a form of institutional white guilt which the left loves to exploit.

When I´ve listened to Cardinal´s who are interviewed regarding the next Pope, every single Cardinal has stated, whichever candidate is being promoted by a group/lobby, that candidate is not considered.

My guess is that we will get a conservative Pope.

Obscene headline and nothing but supposition in this piece. We´ll know within a few weeks who will serve as the next Pope, and many of us non-Catholics pray for strong and clear moral voice. In the meantime, hit pieces like this one on a Cardinal, any Cardinal, serves those whose primary interest is an attack on the Catholic Church and religion in general. Socialism and communism are diseases that started in Europe and still epidemic there, so the author could draw a closer connection between other Cardinals as the majority are from Europe, but in the end, it´s a big so-what?

The Church and religion in general will be crushed out of legal existence under boot of advancing socialism/communism in the west. Whoever the new pope is, he will either be a communist, be a useful idiot to the communists and Islamists, or he will he will be a very short lived pope.

As a Baptist I am praying for a Pope who worships the One True God and seeks His guidance not that of man. It is important to this world no matter what a person´s religion that the Devil does not have his man as head of the Church. Not yet at any rate. We still have work to do spreading the Gospel and preparing the saints for the hard times ahead. God is good.

The author also fails to report on secret briefings Cardinal Turkson held almost a year ago, to date, with Republican Congressmen Chris Smith and Chris Gibson and their staffs, and also Mike Schwartz, the Chief of Staff for Republican Senator Tom Coburn while in Washington, DC, to meet with the president of Catholic Relief Services and attend the annual Catholic Social Ministries Conference. All part of the Soros plan, eh...

What I take from this artcle is that liberals will do ´whatever it takes´ to destroy that which is antithetical to their cause. Whether it is Hillary joining the Armed Services Committee (hence infiltration), Commies infiltrating our Fed Gov (especially State), ´electing´ non-Americans to political office, or here, getting ´their´ guy into the very highe echelons of the Catholic Church.

Time has no meaning to them--however long it takes (e.g., public education through the decades).

When will we rid America of anti-Americans?

I´m Catholic and I was under the impression that Turkson was conservative. However, he has been promoting himself to be the next pope, and I would think that his actions would send up big red flags for the College of Cardinals.

Reply 14 - Posted by: Michaelus, 3/6/2013 8:48:48 AM     (No. 9210905)

Catholics cannot be socialists. The Church teaches that we all have the right to own our property - and the Church teaches we are all obligated to help others. The writer really gets it wrong - he should go read Rerum Novarum (written as an argument against socialism).

Of course the Church also still teaches that usury is wicked and that loaning destitute Africans $millions so their leaders can buy stuff like F16´s or to build oil pipelines that benefit European companies is also wicked.

Reply 15 - Posted by: Hard Nard, 3/6/2013 8:51:43 AM     (No. 9210912)

Once again the left tries to influence the decision of the Vatican. I remember when Laurence O´Donnell demanded that the Catholic Church "hire a more liberal Pope, one who will bring the Church closer to the peoples beliefs on abortion and gay marriage".

I have no beef with Cardinal Turkson, don´t know that much about him except what has recently been printed. But the left intends to try to influence the Vatican to pick a black Pope, hoping for another affirmative action choice like what we have in the White House.

It would be their ultimate wet-dream to destroy the Church from within as they have been trying for so many years.

Reply 16 - Posted by: DrKacz, 3/6/2013 8:51:44 AM     (No. 9210913)

I know it´s off topic, but Cardinal Turkson would be a ringer for "Petrus Romanus" - the last Pope before the fall of Rome mentioned in St. Malachy´s Prophesy of the Popes.

Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people.

It is important to note that the social encyclicals like the scriptures themselves can and are spun in support of warmed over marxism. This does not eliminate the fact of an authentic scripture and authentic social teaching of the church which is not marxist. Marxism includes a cleaver co-opting of Charity which is the highest christian value. Charity involves taking your own money and using it to help the poor. Supporting a collectivist plan to eliminate poverty is a counterfeit charity. It is horribly inefficient as all large programs and projects attract countless shysters who drain the pot and allow very little of the resources to go to the stated goal. The first marxist in the Church was Judas who objected to the expensive perfume being used to honour Our Lord saying this could have been sold to help the poor. The gospel adds that he held the purse and could help himself to the money. When you follow the big money you will never find it helping the poor!

How many federal agencies does it take to do catfish safety inspections? At least three, according to the Government Accountability Office, which on Tuesday released its 2013 report on fragmentation and duplication of federal programs. This year´s report -- there were two previous editions of the report first requested by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla. -- documents an estimated $95 billion in duplicative programs that waste precious tax dollars. That brings the three-year total of potential savings documented by GAO to $295 billion. There´s more than a touch of Chicken Little in common arguments for more infrastructure spending. "The bridges are falling, the bridges are falling!" Every four years, the American Society of Civil Engineers issues the U.S. an infrastructure "report card." And, just as predictably, it says that U.S. infrastructure is decrepit and needs expensive new investments. The latest one, released last month, gave the nation a D+ grade and recommended an extra $1.6 trillion in spending by 2020. Are American bridges actually falling, though? Is the U.S. underinvested in infrastructure? Maybe it´s going too far to say,
