Congressman: No Golf for
Obama Until WH Tours Resume

National Review Online, by Andrew Stiles

Original Article

Representative Louie Gohmert (R., Texas) has filed an amendment to the House GOP’s six-month continuing resolution that would bar federal funds from being spent on President Obama’s golf outings until public tours of the White House start up again. Earlier today, the White House announced that it was cancelling public tours beginning March 9 as a result of spending cuts mandated by sequestration. Below is the relevant section:

Comments:
You really have to love Louis Gohmert. He has no fear of the miscreants in the White House. I sure wish we had more like him.

Ban Obama family ski vacations, summer vacations, Hawaii vacations, spring break for the Obama children, unless they fund the entire cost from their own pockets and AFI/AF2 stay home.

Ban Mooch´s propaganda appearances on the Oscars using military members as a prop, and her endless appearances about diet and exercise where school children are used and a backdrop/prop and are not allowed to bring food or drink and are not fed all day.

Cut Mooch´s staff to the same number or less that previous first ladies have had.

Permanently "furlough" the czars.

Tack on travel for the first ´lady´ and family if he is NOT accompanying them.
There is NO reason we should be spending for their separate vacations, and spring breaks for the kids.

It isn´t petty if the other side starts it. I want an amendment to the bill that would require Congressional approval of all AF1 and Wookie1 flights within the U.S. and absolutely no vacays outside the U.S. Shut these down now!

In fact, I don´t want that three toed sloth of a first female anywhere near a school and I don´t want the Choomerator anywhere near a manufacturing facility. It´s the kiss of death for a business and starvation for our children.

The government has metastasized and its tentacles have reached the vital organs of our Liberty. Going Galt may have been a temporary respite in a passive-aggressive posture, but the skip tracers will come in the form of the IRS, BATF, Homeland Security, EPA, Dept. of Agriculture, and Dept. of the Interior. They tell you what you can own, what you can build, how you can use it, how many can live there, what you can eat, who you can sell to, where you can travel and, eventually, how you should die. This is where we are. This is the result of ´´penny fights and Auldershot it´´, we end up on Concord Bridge with
Don´t Tread On Me flags waving.

I have suggested to my senator and congressman that legislation be introduced capping travel expenditures for all future presidents. Cap it at a percent of what was actually spent on the Obamas (him, her, the girls, grandma, Secret Service, etc), adjust for inflation...but, never again do we provide a billionaire lifestyle for the president. The meer fact they have not traveled together to the same location is beyond the pale.

Obama and his Administration of the hate Americans first crowd are showing their true colors by cutting out White House tours for the American people. Banning Americans from the citizens´ house puts the icing on the Obama cake. The jerk has used his office to screw the American people in every way he can and this latest scheme is so typical of this anti-American president. Is there a provision in the GOP´s six-month continuing resolution to also bar federal funds being spent on Moochelle´s vacations? If not, it should be included along with Obama´s golf outings.

Nice one, Rep. Gohmert. It´s not in the least petty, it´s a means by which a light has been shone on Obama´s spite over the sequester. Cancelling White House tours--our White House--is only one of many spiteful actions currently enjoyed by Obama. Rep. Gohmert has, with a very simple retort, spotlighted in stark, revealing light Obama´s childish and petulant reactions when he does not get his way.

More, please--let´s see if Obama will next stamp his feet and hold his breath until he´s blue in the face.
