Let’s starve! Kids forced to go
hungry for hours during Michelle
Obama media event

Daily Caller, by Eric Owens

Original Article

Posted By:Hooverdog, 3/5/2013 3:33:31 PM

A very courageous fifth-grade teacher in the Chicago Public Schools has written a scathing critique of the almost comical misery she and her students endured when they participated in a massive February 28 event kicking off Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Active Schools campaign. The First Lady’s campaign is an effort to improve (and in some cases, bring back) physical education in American schools. White House officials called the event “a groundbreaking, earth-shattering, awesomely-inspiring day.” Lisa Putnam and her fifth grades most certainly did not experience the event the same way, however.

Obvious that not one person on MO´s staff has a young child. From before the first school bell to well after 1:30 was a long time to keep a kid from eating. Her staff must´ve thought just the sheer anticipation of seeing her would eliminate hunger pangs.

FTA: When Michelle Obama finally came out, she didn’t face the children.
“She was facing the media,” reports Putnam.
What followed was a bunch of exercising. Recall, though, that the kids were
instructed not to bring any food.
“They were dropping like flies,...”

I´m quite sure this was how events for Elena Ceausescu were planned, organized and conducted. I understand reasonable security measures, but not feeding or watering 10-year olds for 6+ hours is beyond the pale. In he end we´re all just props for King Barack and Queeen Mooch.

But... But... they learned what it´s like to be Good Little Kommunists...

Why couldn´t energy drinks have been supplied by a sponsor?
The kids would have been perky during the entertainment portion that way.
Ohhh... Free enterprise... that´s right... can´t let that happen... corporations & all...

Lesson for Today --
This is what happens when Kommunist, er, oops, Kommunity Agitators seize kontrol...
Buh-Bye, kids and childhood...

What kind of idiots planned this event? I hope that in the future, the teachers decline to attend. When, by the way, is PE going to be reintroduced into the Chicago Public Schools?

Wouldn´t it be interesting to get a menu of what Mooch consumed in the same time period that the kids were being left hungry and thirsty. There must be a record somewhere of what was served on AF2.

Are you trying to tell me this event was more about Michelle than it was about the children? How can that be?!Nobody cares more about the children that Michelle!

Remember all the complaints about the food lunches? Maybe this was a trial run for the new childhood obesity program ... don´t feed the kids all day ... make them exercise.

Even the children of the Hitler Youth were treated more kindly by their Nazi indoctrinators.

At that time, starvation was only for the Jews. But Michelle believes in spreading the pain around equally, with no child left behind.

How ungrateful can these little brats be? They got to be the background for a political event, something they can tell their grandchildren about! Why, just the thought of being with the Great Mooch should have alleviated any hunger pangs. Obviously, the children did not receive the right kine of motivational speech....

There were high expectations for Sen. Ted Cruz´s keynote address at CPAC 2013, and he delivered. As a young, passionate Hispanic who happens to be one of the most brilliant and accomplished constitutional experts and Supreme Court lawyers in the U.S. Senate in over half a century, Cruz poses a clear frustration for the left—and some in the Republican establishment as well. Cruz was a rock star at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Whenever anyone mentioned him in their remarks, the utterance was met with applause.

On Wednesday night, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) electrified the crowd at the Coalitions for America’s Weyrich Awards Dinner, named after founder Paul Weyrich. He led off his speech with a dismissive reference to Senator John McCain’s characterization of him as a “wacko bird.” Looking at the crowd, Cruz said, “Birds of a feather flock together.” Cruz led off with a full-on critique of the President’s public relations blitz over sequestration. “2.4 percent cuts were made from your meals,” he joked. He referenced the “emaciated face” of conservative megadonor Foster Friess.

U.S. Catholics who dreamed of an American pope got their wish — in a way — on Wednesday. A South American. It was Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, archbishop of Buenos Aires, who emerged from the conclave as Pope Francis. Some U.S. church scholars were thrilled, others cautious, and at least one was critical of another aging pope who may be unwilling or unable to make crucial changes in the church. Here is a pope who has contended with all the issues of the modern West — gay marriage, abortion, contraception, women´s rights,

Imagine you´re a waitress, out with friends on a night off, when you lose your wallet. Cash, credit cards, driver´s license—all gone. Your bank later informs you that checks are being issued in your name. It´s a pain, but you carry on. Two weeks later, you´re at work when four people walk in and sit in your section. They start ordering drinks. You ask to see their IDs. A woman in the group hands a driver´s license to you. You look down, and it´s yours.

To read most conservative websites you´d have to believe that Hollywood is the holy mecca of liberal hypocrisy, a swarming hive of limousine liberals, and the indulgence capital of the world. For conservatives, going to the movies long ago became a form of self-flagellation where one pays exorbitant prices for admission and confections

HOUSTON -- It was a moment weeks in the making: 93-year-old Elbert Wood returned to his home that was rebuilt through the kindness of strangers. “This is purely community effort, from the new grass to the new roof,” radio host Michael Berry told the crowd that gathered in northwest Houston. They offered up a hero’s welcome for Wood, a decorated World War II veteran. Tuesday’s homecoming was a stark contrast to when he returned home from a doctor’s appointment last month to find his home burglarized and vandalized.

President Obama must have been stunned at the "audacity" of Dr. Benjamin Carson in challenging his core assumptions right to his face in front of thousands of people at the National Prayer Breakfast. Obama is not used to being challenged, especially in public, even if indirectly and without being specifically named. From the look on his face, it was obvious Obama was none too pleased with Carson´s message or with his "presumptuousness" in presenting it in that forum, while he had to sit still and -- remain silent.
