State: No Environmental Reason
To Delay Keystone XL

Investor´s Business Daily, by Editorial

War On Energy: In yet another clean bill of health, the State Department´s draft review says the pipeline from Canada will not affect global warming or harm aquifers it crosses. But it will create jobs and economic growth. The U.S. State Department´s second Keystone XL supplemental environmental impact statement, which represents the project´s fourth environmental review, finds the pipeline would not accelerate global greenhouse gas emissions or significantly harm the natural habitats along its route. This sent the administration´s environmentalist base into spasms of hysteria. Greenies had warned that the extraction of crude

A story that is not being widely reported is that oil companies aren´t waiting for the Keystone; they´re shipping more and more oil by train Google No Keystone XL? Big Oil will just take the train

The ultimate goal for Canada is to get the oil to a port so it can be exported. Tight oil from TX has already made it to ports in Corpus Christie, Freeport, and Houston, is already being shipped to eastern US refineries. A couple of US flagged and owned ships are being readied to also allow US export of crude.

This thing was already delayed for years because it goes through a tiny slither of federal land near it´s starting point. They did all kids of studies trying to find an animal or plant that could be affected and found nothing.Hillary Clinton said she saw no problem with the pipeline other than where it went through Nebraska. The left is still bitterly clinging to that.

The way the world´s oil supply is being priced today has no rhyme or reason.Even if this thing gets approved, there´s no guarantee that the additional supply will bring barrel prices down.

I read just the other day that refineries are being closed for ‘maintenance’ because they are not profitable….and, of course, to keep the supply of fuel ‘tight’ to maintain the high prices.

Oh, it will be approved. he fart in the WH will wait for an opportune time, and then tell everyone how he approved this pipeline, and created so many thousands of jobs. That´s always been his M.O. Political Correctness: Its force structure decimated by sequestration and budget cuts, the Marine Corps considers exchanging its proud and honored look for hats similar to the gendarmes who direct traffic in Paris. If sequestration´s annual spending cuts continue past this year, the Marine Corps will lose 8,000 in troop strength, Commandant Gen. James F. Amos told the Defense Writers Group in June. But those who remain will at least be fashion-conscious if a proposal for changes in their dress headgear goes forward. Men and women in the Marines

Junk Science: Al Gore, patron saint of climate fraud, argues with Australia´s prime minister that its brushfires are not caused by warming and that the record shows the koala bear, like the polar bear, is quite safe. They were the largest Australian bushfires in a populous region in recorded history, consuming half the state of Victoria, claiming 12 lives and destroying an estimated 1 million sheep and thousands of cattle. And they occurred in February 1851 during one of the coldest years on record. Bushfires have been part of Australian life for centuries

If any state were to ban hydraulic fracturing, commonly referred to as fracking, the process that releases oil and natural gas trapped in porous shale formations, one would think it would be California. By sheer coincidence, a plurality of the uninsured are likely Democratic voters. Call it Motor Voter on steroids — the piggybacking of voter registration to an otherwise unrelated government function. Those trying to navigate Healthcare.gov, a website that looks and functions as if designed by the department of motor vehicles, are being asked if they want to register to vote just in time for crucial 2014 midterm elections

Regulation: From lost jobs to fewer hours to premium hikes that would make a loan shark drool, Barack Obama´s home state is a case study in why the first rule in health care reform, as in medicine, should be to do no harm. The president and his cohorts in the media have long accused Republicans of being out of touch with ordinary people. Remember the concocted story about President Bush the elder being so out of touch he was unfamiliar with supermarket bar-code scanners? But it´s President Obama who´s out of touch with ordinary people

A confirmed atheist when he was 15, C.S. Lewis came around to believing in God when he was 31. "I knelt and prayed: perhaps, that night, the most dejected and reluctant convert in all England," he wrote in his autobiography, "Surprised by Joy." Soon he embraced Christianity. A lecturer at English universities, Lewis became a superstar author by explaining his faith and weaving it creatively into novels. Books including "Mere Christianity," "The Screwtape Letters," "That Hideous Strength" and the series "The Chronicles of Narnia" have sold a total of 200 million copies, but he wasn´t always popular.

Energy Revolution: America´s natural gas boom threatens Russia´s economic strategy, an expert says, leaving it with few alternatives to rescue its economy while threatening to shatter its energy stranglehold on Europe. Russia´s abundance of energy resources has long allowed it to use energy both as a foreign policy weapon and as the bedrock of the Russian economy. Whenever energy prices rose, Russia benefited and its neighbors often felt the restraining leash of dependence on Russian energy, particularly natural gas. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
