When just about any major event occurs — whether it´s a downturn in the unemployment rate, a natural disaster or some crisis overseas — much of the news media ask how it´s going to play out for the president, the central actor in our national drama. But then there are additional moments when the president injects himself into non-news contexts. Nineteen Eighty-Four and "Big Brother is watching you" is how I feel every time Obama comes on. I either turn off the TV or I switch to another channel. I wouldn´t be surprised if Obama´s handlers got the idea for Obama to make so many appearances from George Orwell.

The deal is this: Obama has come to crave the center of the world stage unlike anyone since Bill Clinton.
He is the corpse at every funeral, the bride at every wedding.
´The Ring´ has wrought its magic in destroying whatever Obama once was, and turned him into Gollum.
It is good for all of us he´ll be a lame duck in a little over two years.

The trip by the celebrity couple spurred widespread media coverage after two U.S. representatives from Florida, Republicans Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart, asked the Treasury who approved the travel and for what purpose. The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has permanently revoked the federal firearms license of East Windsor, Conn., gun store owner David LaGuercia, whose shop reportedly sold guns used in the Newtown school massacre and a second Connecticut mass shooting. An autopsy on Shain Gandee, a cast member of the MTV reality show Buckwild, showed he died of carbon monoxide poisoning, the Kanawha County sheriff’s department said yesterday. The deaths of Gandee, 21, his uncle David Gandee, 48, and friend Donald Robert Myers, 27, on Monday morning were ruled accidental after coroners completed the autopsies.(Snip) The truck was found after the MTV star was reported missing by family members after a late-night session in a local bar.
