| If the law is unpopular now, how much more will people hate it when they hear for the first time that they are being forced to buy health insurance, that many of them will not be able to keep the plan they are on now, or that their employer may drop their company health insurance because it’s cheaper to pay the fine? Those tens of millions of Americans who have not been paying attention are in for the shock of their lifetimes. Reason Magazine: February’s Kaiser Family Foundation health tracking poll puts opposition to the law

Comments: It would be nice to think the Democrats will suffer horribly because of this travesty, but nothing surprises me anymore. Maybe this is one thing that will destroy their chances in 2014 of gaining seats in the House or Senate. It would be wonderful if they suffered crushing defeats because of it.

While the idiots who voted for this man in the White House begin to see that they will need a larger jar of vaseline to ease the pain of the Obamacare the Republicans can keep mum and let reality sink in. However, the Republicans should NOT agree to put the implementation off for two years since that would get the law implementation past the 2014 elections and the Republicans need to have the Democrats stand out as the OWNERS of this stupid law. Let them reap what they have sown...

Those of us who imagined the freight train coming - were opposed from the start.
Those who now see the freight train in the distance are now joining the opposition.
Only the LOFO voters still playing on the tracks are still for ObamaCare. Many of them are about to get run over.

The sad thing is that the obamacare program has already caused big long term problems for the medical field. Our medical records are already online in many instances....so much for our privacy. My original internal med. doctor of 20 yrs closed his practice to become a hospitalist. He said with all the cuts, especially to the medicare program at that time and what was to come, would not allow him to make enough to cover overhead. Now my new internal med. doctor of 3 yrs is quitting her practice. When I asked her why, she said she couldn´t take all the regulations and cuts any longer and knew that this was just the tip of the iceberg. Trying to find a new doctor for my 82 yo Mom and myself, not easy. Our finest young men and women are not going into medical studies to become a doctor. Doctors are not produced overnight. We will very soon reach the level of care that is provided by a PA or NP and will NOT be seeing doctors. This is all before obamacare has been fully implemented.

The NRA is responsible for Obamacare? Interesting concept, #11, but maybe one should be careful about ingesting too many of those toadstools. The NRA is a single-issue organization. It supports the rights of citizens to own guns and defends the 2nd Amendment. It does not have, and never had, any position on Obamacare. That liberal Dems got elected by disguising their inner lefty and proclaiming their (false) support for the 2nd Amendment is not the NRA´s fault. The NRA doesn´t administer polygraph tests to see if candidates are lying.

I love how the docs who actually see patients keep quiet and bail out.
The "doctors" who love Obamacare tend to be those who don´t have a practice involving seeing patients day-today. They are adminsitrators at hospitals, DHS employees, researchers, specialists. Those that do see patients and support socialized medicine tend to be comfortable being extremely well paid employees at places like Kaiser. The Kaiser types will find that they are going to be ground between the millstones of a government not having money for "free" things and a public that demands low/no cost treatment on demand. From heros to goats in a few short years. They will find out why cuban docs drive taxis to make ends meet.
In CA, the number of docs who "cannot see new patients" and who now have waiting periods for a week to three weeks for existing patients is growing. Not a story the slobbering pressititutes want to tackle.

#9 is absolutely correct. Obamacare has already caused many practices to sell due to their inability to meet overhead and be in compliance with all of the new regulations. EMR systems cost up to $500,000 and most practices cannot fund this extra cost. The large HC corporations are buying practices so they can capture as many healthcare dollars as possible until reimbursement rates are all aligned with medicare/medicaid rates. This will happen in 3 years or sooner. At that point, we will see many physicians retire (the cream of the crop). Paraprofessionals who will be under the thumb of bureaucrats will be the ones who will try to treat complex symptomatology.

The White House said Thursday that President Obama "absolutely" did not aid Jay-Z and Beyoncé in obtaining travel licenses to visit Cuba. On Wednesday night, the rapper released a song that bragged about the trip and included the lyrics "boy from the hood but got White House clearance." The lyrics also say Obama told him "chill, you gonna get me impeached." But on Thursday, White House press secretary Jay Carney said dismissively "it´s a song." "I guess nothing rhymes with Treasury, because Treasury offers and gives licenses for travel and the White House had nothing to do it

If you, or your workplace, are still using Windows XP, it’s time to move on. Microsoft will officially end support for the 2001-vintage platform on April 8, 2014, just shy of a year from now. That means no more service packs, no more updates and, most importantly, no more security patches. Windows users generally receive periodic updates from Microsoft via its Windows Update service. These fixes often patch irregular behavior in the operating system. More importantly, they plug vital flaws in the OS´s security, preventing hackers and exploiters from running roughshod over private PCs.

Global PC shipments fell by 13.9 percent in the first quarter of 2013, and according to analyst firm IDC , Windows 8 could very well be the reason. On Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reported that 76.3 million PC units shipped during the most recent financial period, marking the biggest decline since the IDC began publishing quarterly numbers 19 years ago. “The reaction to Windows 8 is real,” Jay Chou, an IDC analyst, said to The Wall Street Journal. Increased demand for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets have also played a role in this decline,

Controversial gun legislation cleared a key Senate hurdle Thursday, as lawmakers voted 68-31 to start debate on the package which includes expanded background checks and new penalties for gun trafficking. Senate Democrats, joined by a few Republicans, were able to overcome an attempted filibuster by more than a dozen senators opposed to the current bill. Those senators could still slow-walk the debate, but the Senate will ultimately begin votes on amendments -- one of which is considered crucial to winning support for a final vote.

Superstar rapper Jay-Z released a new song Wednesday night addressing the recent controversy around his trip last month to Cuba with wife Beyonce, blasting politicians who have questioned whether it was appropriate for the pair to visit the communist nation. In the song, titled "Open Letter," Jay-Z jokes that he "turned Havana [in]to Atlanta" and claims President Obama told him "chill, you gonna get me impeached." Jay-Z´s song tees off on those questioning his travel plans, at one point asking politicians, "Wanna give me jail time and a fine? Fine, let me commit a real crime."

Reps. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), John Conyers (D-Mich.) and Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) tried a “stop the filibuster” campaign against Republicans in the upper chamber determined to stop gun-control legislation. The three liberal House members gathered signatures from 47 other lawmakers on the letter sent to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Mike Lee (R-Utah) to “respectfully request that you exercise restraint from engaging in filibusters on these important pieces of legislation.” The filibuster, they maintain, “was neither intended nor used historically to prevent the Senate from working its will on matters supported

The health care program kicks in Oct. 1, when Americans can sign up for health care coverage to begin Jan, 1. "Navigators will be an important resource for the millions of

Frustrated gun control proponents are determined to pass stricter gun laws, but they increasingly turn to graphic depictions of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting to push forward their agenda. “I walked the halls where these unspeakable acts took place,” Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday during a gun control speech. “I saw the dried blood on the walls. I saw the horrific crime scene photos.” It appears that Holder believes that the acts themselves are "unspeakable" but not the gory details of the aftermath. Neither does Vice President Joe Biden, who implemented a graphic approach while making

For decades, members of the left have insisted that the right is fighting a war on science. But when it comes to the issues of abortion and homosexuality, it is the left that fights a consistent and ridiculous war with reality. What in the world does that bizarre phrase mean? It doesn´t mean situations in which two members of a lesbian couple are both infertile and incapable

In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”
