CAIRO – U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry promised Sunday to give Egypt $190 million to help the government pay its bills, but said more money would require that Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi move quickly to resolve the country´s differences with the International Monetary Fund, reform its security services and take steps to provide equal rights for women and religious minorities. I´m sure Morsi will take horseface´s dictates for the money and create a land of opportunity for everybody. Egypt´s entire economy is on the ropes because of Obama´s takeover of the country,so now the US is obligated to pay all their damn bills.
I haven´t seen much evidence that big Islam is suddenly adopting free enterprise,so i can see this business start up money will go down some other rat hole.

There´s no objective reason the IMF should loan these people $4 billion ,so there has to be some major string pulling by Obama to get those loans approved. What´s the collateral? Tourism is all but dead.

Why did they need all these fighter jets and Abrahms tanks when they´re not under threat from another country?

It must be a great mystery to most of the people in these other countries as to why the American people have not revolted and thrown everyone in DC who squander their tax money out on their cans. But I’m sure they are glad we haven’t since it works so well for them.

Wasn´t Hosni Mubarak, President of Egypt for 30 years, worth more than $40 Billion. Considering that he was a general before he was President, it´s a safe assumption that his wealth was given to him by the U.S. government. Are we beginning the payoffs to Morsi now?

This is insanity.

And why does the obama think it´s so great to try to dump Assad of Syria out of power since Egypt turning out so badly?

Sounds like a winning policy. There is one small detail that should be considered in future such arrangements.

Paying in advance for work that has yet to be done -and for which no ready relief exists should it not be done as promised- is a bad habit of government and other not-for-profit organizations. It is not the smartest nor safest way to do business. It grants the target of a bribery scheme, e.g. Mursi, the leverage to operate an extortion racket against the bribe-giver, e.g. America. The obvious move for Mursi is to drag his feet and fail to do all or even any of what the bribe is for and then to demand even more money to get the job done or to prevent things from getting even worse, thus transforming what started out as a bribe into a kind of protection racket.

Of course, none of this matters a great deal since the funds involved are just taxpayer funds - government "funny money," the equivalent of Monopoly money. It´s not like the clumsy bribes the children at the State Department dangle before our adversaries to make them like us and do what we want them to do are REAL money that somebody somewhere has to be responsible for.

I am not sure where the notion got started that bribing other nations or paying people to love us got started, or how the practice has grown to its present mammoth proportions. Nor am I aware of any evidence that it has ever achieved the desired results. No doubt it is a form of INVESTMENT, as large dispensations by politicians and bureaucrats of taxpayer funds usually are. But is there any evidence that such INVESTMENTS ever pay off?

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.
