| It was a scene that held all the potential for a bloodbath. Two men chose to execute Courtney Jackson on Thursday night, in the middle of the Dudley Square bus station, in front of a bus loaded with ?passengers. That Brian Cooper and Jamel Bannister were captured within minutes after Jackson was shot is a testament to the fearlessness of Boston police officers Wilfredo Coriano, Dominic Columbo, Brian Holmes and Kevin Plunkett. What is more amazing is the fact that the only shot fired in the midst of this chaotic scene was the one that ended Courtney Jackson’s 26-year-old life.

I´m not sure I´d call it "fearlessness" when the police were only doing what they´re paid to do-- apprehend criminals, even armed ones.
And, why, pray tell, was Mssr. Cooper even out on the street when he was under a 2009 charge of assult with intent to kill?

It does take a certain mindset to run toward the danger rather than away from it. The fact that they are paid for it does not diminish the action.

Heroic, magnificent, epic, amazing, etc., because at first glance it sort of supports the draconian gun ban for lawful citizens that Boston and Mass have. Luckily for all those bus commuters, the two ARMED criminals were only executing someone they knew that day. 2 armed terrorists and we would be hearing the leftists screaming for a total gun ban. They have to seize every high profile gun crime before someone points out that their gun ban for lawful citizens endangers most of us.
The police did their job and arrested the murders by using their guns. Now prepare yourself for the argument that this crime was because of the NRA, instead of yet another failure of liberal gun bans for lawful citizens. I just hope the progressive moron mayor actually prosecutes the 2 criminals instead of plea bargaining their crimes down to a lesser charge like most Democrat mayors have done for the past 40 years.

Agree with posters. ´Journalists´ are so brain dead they don´t even try to choose correct words. It is the mindset that always identifies with the killer. ´Execution´ implies that the killers had a good reason for what they did. Murder is way too ´judgmental´ for the weenie writers of today.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
