| Rep. Peter King (R-NY) exploded at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday in an appearance with CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. When asked about the conference’s decision not to invite New Jersey’s Republican Gov. Chris Christie for, among other reasons, his decision to scold Congressional Republicans for stalling to approve a bill that would fund post-Hurricane Sandy relief projects, King went off on the conference for having a “suicidal death wish.” Blitzer asked King about CPAC’s decision not to invite Christie. “What do you make of that?” Blitzer asked.

This is so very unnecessary. Last time I checked the "C" in CPAC stood for conservative. Christie is anything but a conservative. King should never have appeared on that show in order to bash Republicans. He has gone off the rails alot lately. He was one of the first ones to attack Michele Bachmann over the Muslim Brotherhood fiasco.

Congress withholds funding when the purpose of the bill is overwhelmed by the PORk in the bill, that´s why. If all of the funding had gone to Sandy victims, the bill would not have been stalled.

This is a deck stacked with Romney and Bush loyalists. So the real agenda here isn´t to promote conservatives, it is to rally conservative support behind establishment candidates who care not at all for the values and ideals that changed the course of this nation, however briefly, in 2010.
But giving credit to anyone who challenges the beltway establishment mindset, be it Palin, or Christie or Cain, those voices must not be heard. Let not those in attendance hear and decide, instead, make sure that the Romneys and the Bushes and their followers are allowed to cross dress as conservatives.
Like him, don´t like him, a couple of big states in areas where republicans don´t have many friends think he´s great and the rest of the nation ought to be able to hear him unfiltered. Either he persuades or he falls flat. Or he is persuaded that the conservative clientele is worth fighting for.
But he was acceptable as a potential VP. He was valued enough to be the key note speaker. A group willing to allow itself to be duped into endorsing Romney really can´t afford to be too choosy.

I like Peter King. I think he is usually right and I like his courage. I think he is wrong this time.
No. 14, why wouldn´t Romney be invited? Do you want him punished because he didn´t win? We should apologize to him for not turning out in sufficient numbers.
Although, if the truth were known, I think he did win. Ohio and North Carolina were stolen. The fix was in. This was evident in the sudden conviction of the Democrats that they were going to win. Remember, all of a sudden they were confident just before the election? As to Virginia, I am not sure about as yet.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
