Documents: US released more
than 2,000 immigrants

Associated Press, by Alicia A. Caldwell

WASHINGTON— The Associated Press has learned that the Homeland Security Department released more than 2,000 illegal immigrants facing deportation from immigration jails in recent weeks because of looming budget cuts. It also planned to release 3,000 more during March. The newly disclosed figures, cited in internal government budget documents reviewed by the AP, are significantly higher than what the Obama administration acknowledged this week as a "few hundred" illegal immigrants who were released under the budget-savings process. The budget documents show that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement released roughly 1,000 illegal immigrants

Revenge from the nerds or a rhyming word. The Labor Board guy is still in place even tho´ the court ruled his placement and those he placed under him are unconstitutional. The actions were not by some low-level field worker. This is just like Fast and Furious and wish to heck some in Congress would put a bit of starch in their backbone.

If obama´s release of 2000 is just a few hundred, then reduce the size of his sequester by the same factor, and it is even more reduced in impact.

There is a problem here. The immigration law along with most Republicans consider that the so-called "immigrants" that the Obama crew is releasing are in fact illegal aliens. But the liberal Democrats who are doing the releasing consider just about all illegal aliens to be prospective liberal Democrat voters. As long as that is allowed to continue, the illegal alien situation will continue to grow out of control.

If they were considered "low-risk, noncriminal detainees" why didn´t the administration release those who are Americans, instead of illegal aliens? Makes no sense.

If the illegal aliens were facing deportation soon, as the article suggests, why not just bus them and dump them south of the border? In doing so, the administration should not worry because it is already breaking the law.

Do they really know how many they have released ? The numbers are all over the ballpark.

How many anchor babies will arrive in nine months of the release to rely on taxpayers for most of their lives ?

WASHINGTON – While the games will be played, a presidential delegation—led by Rep. Tammy Duckworth D-Ill.- will not be going to the upcoming Paralympics in Sochi because of Russian military aggression in Ukraine, a first small rebuke in a series of sanctions the U.S. and European allies are contemplating. Duckworth, a wounded Iraq war vet, was preparing to depart on Wednesday, leading a six-member delegation to the games. The Paralympics start with an opening ceremony on Friday and run through March 16. Snakeskin clothes and accessories are seen as being very glamorous – but the factories where the animals are killed and skinned to make them are anything but. One such slaughterhouse can be found in the village of Cirebon, Indonesia. There, workers skin and kill snakes in their thousands every week, with huge mounds of snakes dotted around the floor in various stages of treatment. A variety of methods are used to kill and skin snakes in Indonesia. The most common method has been cited by many as exceptionally cruel and outdated. The snake is stunned with a blow to the head

Russia didn’t fire any shots in Ukraine on Monday, but there were plenty of casualties on Russia’s currency, bond and stock markets — even as Western nations rushed to plan their economic defense of the current government in Kiev. Share prices of Russian companies plunged nearly 11 percent, and the Russian ruble tumbled to an all-time low against the U.S. dollar despite Russia’s nearly half-trillion-dollar hoard of foreign exchange. The country’s natural gas monopoly, Gazprom, which sells to Ukraine and other parts of Europe through pipelines crossing Ukraine, fell about 12 percent, wiping out nearly $13 billion in shareholder value

FOR FIVE YEARS, President Obama has led a foreign policy based more on how he thinks the world should operate than on reality. It was a world in which “the tide of war is receding” and the United States could, without much risk, radically reduce the size of its armed forces. Other leaders, in this vision, would behave rationally and in the interest of their people and the world. Invasions, brute force, great-power games and shifting alliances — these were things of the past. Secretary of State John F. Kerry displayed this mindset on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday when he
