| I never knew the extent of a lobby´s power until fate called me to speak on behalf of children´s rights. Now, six months after having come forward with a logical, secular argument against same-sex parenting based on experience, broad research, and international law, I have been met with vicious attacks and something far worse than viciousness: a massive nationwide cold shoulder. Both left and right are allied in a complete blackout of dissent from LGBT orthodoxy.

The LGBT´s power comes down to name-calling. Nothing more.
The LGBTs have never grown up and probably never will so this is their methodology. Unfortunately, too many ´adults´ have also never grown up and so they fear the name-calling. What too often passes for courage is actually cowardice when it comes to yielding to these militants.

Want more proof? How about a case where two men pretend to be married and are given 9 little boys by the Connecticut Government and then go on to rape and abuse these boys. You would think that they might go to jail - but next week these two guys are expected to accept a plea deal and go free without even having to register as sex offenders. The worst thing is that the kids are not hiding - they openly have accused these guys so the prosecution has an easy case to prove - but instead they offered a plea. The guys names are George Harasz and Doug Wirth.

So let´s recap - 15 years of the ´LGBT lobby´ forcing schools to teach children that ´gay sex is normal and healthy!´ - now has the CDC reporting the *only* area of the US population where HIV is *still* increasing - is 12 to 22 year old males...who test positive for AIDS to the tune of 1000 new cases a *month*.
And anyone in their right mind thinks that the LGBT ´lobby´ is ´concerned´ about the welfare of children? Beyond grooming new meat?

Before America embarks on changing the concept of marriage, I hope they will at least agree on examining cultures that do not define marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman. During the highly publicized exchange between Bill O´Reilly and Laura Ingraham on gay marriage, O´Reilly made this statement: "There are Bible thumpers, and all they do is say, ´I object to gay marriage because God objects to it.´ You don´t win a policy debate in America with that." Really? Before central control out of Washington was imposed in 2003, policy arguments for criminalizing homosexual acts were won explicitly "with that." And because of "that," the idea of gay marriage has been unthinkable throughout the history of the American nation.

It´s one thing for President Obama to be cocky and overstate his prowess at governing. People are used to politicians grabbing credit, and besides, you can always rationalize when it comes to explaining why things didn´t quite work out as you claimed they would - "the sequester ate my recovery" being the latest successful-enough example. But sports is something else. The basketball either goes through the hoop or it doesn´t. That´s why President Obama´s history of braggadocio regarding his prowess at hoops is having a potent effect on his overall public image, especially with those who are favorably inclined to him.

During his two day flurry of fundraising in Northern California, the President of the United States took it upon himself (and allow to be released to the public - not all of his fundraising comments make it to the masses) to praise the attractiveness of Kamala Harris, California Attorney General (snip) The remark, predictably, generated a little of what Allahpundit called a ´Blue on blue food fight." I suspect that was the intention. The president´s image as a manly man took a beating when he missed 20 of 22 basketball shots, all recorded on video.

The CEO of Starbucks basically told a shareholder that if the shareholder believes in traditional marriage he should dump his Starbucks stock. Historically the job of the CEO has been to make money and increase shareholder value. It would seem telling people who don´t share the CEO´s personal beliefs, whether it´s gay marriage or abortion, to dump the companies stock is not a pro-shareholder action. The Great State of Indiana is about to test statewide school choice on a meaningful scale. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
