The Mutt and Jeff of the
Obama administration

Daily Mail [UK], by Melanie Phillips

Is the United States about to become a laughing-stock to the rest of the world? It seems to have accrued a Defence Secretary who is the toast of Iran, and a Secretary of State who is a blithering idiot. It was hard to imagine that the new guy at State, John Kerry, could make himself look even more stupid than he has done by his science-denying belief that the planet is about to fry through man-made climate change. Well, he has indeed now exceeded such expectations. First, he invented a new country. In trying to praise diplomats who were working

Really, the only way to describe Kerry & Hagel is "nitwits."
Dangerous, destructive nitwits. But nitwits nonetheless.
Arrogant know-it-all attitudes, enormous egos, unbelievable ignorance of history and economics, anti-semitic bias, elitism, deceitfulness, corruption---yep, that´s them.

This country is becoming suicidal. There are real enemies of America who may be sensing their time to act is finally approaching. Of course Obama will blame Republicans for his inability to respond. I´m sorry, but Kerry, Hagel and Brennan were not offered for their prowess. The frog´s water is now at a slow boil.

#8´s comment regarding our readiness to handle another attack has a lot of precedence in WWII. Finding Eisenhower in the echelon´s of the U.S/British army officers was a time consuming task and remember that Ike fired or jumped "under" a lot of generals and colonels who couldn´t get going.

Come to think of it, so did President Lincoln.

This administration seems to have trouble finding leaders that can lead but still toe the line. Witness the turn-overs in the Middle East commanders.

By the way what makes these corporals like Hagel and previously that Austrian halfwit think they know so much more about the military than the professionals?

One of the job qualifications to get a job in DC is that you are unqualified for it (Hagel) it also helps if you were a traitor at one time or another (Kerry). I wonder when 0 is nominating Hanoi Jane for the homeland security job.

John Kerry? you mean this Kerry in a conversation with Tom Brokaw??--´´I think there has been an exaggeration,´´ he said. ´´They are really misleading all of America, Tom, in a profound way. It´s primarily an intelligence and law enforcement operation.´´ That´s all I need to know. Bush wanted to take the war to the enemies, fight it on their turf. Kerry wanted to do it through ´´law enforcement´´: If the Empire State Building gets blown up, he´ll launch an investigation immediately. It´s not enough. Even if Bush was AWOL 30 years ago, on everything that matters John Kerry is AWOL now.
But now he´s SecState!

Not to pick a fight with #19 or any others but we need to have a straight record here.

Juan McLame and Lindsay Gramnesty voted only to let Hagel´s nomination come to the floor. Thus, they dropped the filibuster but said he deserved a full Senate vote, which is fair in the case of a cabinet member. Then, in fairness I must say, they voted AGAINST his actual nomination. In fact, Hagel the Horrible was confirmed by only 58 to 41 --- the lowest percentage vote for SOS in history. Even without the votes of the 4 Republicans who supported him, Hagel would have won anyway. (Louse-in-burg from NJ didn´t even vote!) The only good news is that it is a humiliation to have such a weak show of support for your agenda. Sadly, it is what it is.

Republican congressional candidate Mark Sanford slammed the 2009 federal stimulus package that went to Clemson University’s wind turbine effort--where Democrat rival Elizabeth Colbert Busch is employed--as bad public policy and a poor return on the taxpayers’ investments. By Sanford’s math and reading of Obama administration stimulus allocation figures, the Wind Turbine Drivetrain Testing Facility received $43 million and “created or saved” an estimated 134 jobs. When divided, the numbers calculate to more than $320,000 per job, Sanford said. Sanford’s comments came during a visit to a Mount Pleasant branch of Lyerly’s Cleaners, where he carried in a load

As the US and China grow increasingly involved, Kim Jong-un must be brought into line if war is not to be triggered by an act of recklessness. There are two schools of thought about what lies behind North Korea’s increasingly frenzied posturing. The first goes like this: the rhetoric emanating from Pyongyang--including calls to “break the waists of the crazy enemies [and] totally cut their windpipes”--is no worse than their decades-old ritualistic promises to turn South Korea into a “sea of fire”. What we are witnessing, according to this theory, is nothing more than an inexperienced leader

Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
