| These are the people who think they know better than you and should dictate your firearms choices. Erika highlighted Vice President Joe Biden’s most recent gun non-safety advice today: I said, “Well, you know, my shotgun will do better for you than your AR-15, because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door.” (Snip)The only person who should ever take Biden’s gun advice is David Gregory, who is of course exempt from gun laws because he has very important points to make. And, when it comes to gun laws for thee

Let´s see what happens when a fed-x or pizza deliveryman is shot through the door by a shotgun based on Biden´s advice. Fortunately most gun owners have enough common sense not to shoot someone until there´s a proven threat.
The gun grabbing cult doesn´t even want you to have a bow and arrow for self defense.let alone a shotgun which is real assault weapon.

The reason Dems like shotguns is that their range is somewhat limited. When the Dem becomes a dictator, as is his dream, if all his opponents are armed with shotguns, he will have his thugs blow them away, safely out of a shotgun´s range with guns similar to the AR-15.
If a few women are raped or killed in the meantime... Well, you can´t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs...

High Jesuit priest father Joe, posing as amiable good guy, wants to take away your guns while he’s illegally empowering high priest Jerry Brown and other dictators to declare early, on the streets release, of violent crimnals, Mexican aliens and American pedophiles, wants to take away your guns but give them, smuggle them below the border to Mexican gang drug dealers, wants to take away your guns so that un-armed schools and children can be mass slaughtered, it all sounds pre-arranged, doesn’t it? wants to take away your guns, but print the names and addresses of conforming legitimate gun owners in the newspapers, wants to take away your guns but leave underworld criminals and drug gangs alone, untouched, and not fully punish any of those criminals according to the many protective laws we have already passed. Father Joe, Father Jerry, all those corrupting guys are the real criminals against all law abiding Americans. All those government guys want to infringe upon and use Federal laws, to smash the Constitution, to control and criminalize law abiding citizens who happen to have privately, proudly, responsibly, owned guns for several centuries. Somehow, they´re using tragedy to create chaos.

Much as I loathe the current maladministration, the videos of women with shotguns seems exaggerated. Come on. If a wimp like ØDumbø can handle a shotgun anyone can. The worst part of firing any firearm is the noise. It´s even worse than listening to a Kenyan reading a teleprompter.

A recent poll has only 6% of those polled believing the news media and another poll has over half those polled using the Internet, like Lucianne, to get their news. And the reason are instances like when the MSM made Biden look like the winner in his childish behavior in the debate? So you can see why some fool would take what comes out of the White House, either mouth piece, as being good advice. The reporting on blasting a shotgun outside your house was as stupid and declaring the debate to the interrupter and face clown.

I watched the video and I chuckled too, especially considering how ridiculous (and serious) Biden was. The women in the video deserved better instruction from the men in their lives than what I saw.
Those women were game enough to try. They deserve better instruction than that. Who can blame them if they migrate into the ranks of the gun banners because their experience was negative.
We need to encourage and enable positive experiences in the shooting sports, not set people up so that they can be mocked for their inexperience. This is a fight we need to win for the good of the country.

Biden is stupid, but I think that video was deliberately staged to highlight his stupidity. Women can and do handle shotguns as well as a man. For a woman who would like to get a shotgun for home defense - and it is a valid option - the video actually highlights several mistakes beginners make.
1) Using a tactical grip on a shotgun is stupid unless you have significant upper body strength. You lose the ability to absorb the recoil with your shoulder and your arm has to take it all. It´s definitely not a gun for a beginner.
2) Fit is important. Most women need a shorter stock than a man. It´s common sense. Their arms aren´t as long. The woman who got beaned in the eye demonstrates why it´s important to have a shotgun that is sized properly.
3) Form is also important. A shotgun can and will kick you if you aren´t holding it properly. Pretty much every woman in that video needs to learn proper technique. Push the gun into your shoulder with your trigger hand, pull away with the other hand and lean forward. The recoil is going to push you back; your spine doesn´t bend backward. Lean back and you´ll fall back.
A rifle, shotgun or handgun can all be used for home defense. Your best bet is to go to a range, learn to shoot all three and then - if you can only afford one - buy the one you are most comfortable with and use best.

IN the video, I notices that some of the ladies were firing a Mossberg JIC (Just In Case) shot gun. One can have 5 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. Six rounds in all.(Not recommended for safety sake from my point of view to have the 6th round.)The gun does have a safety however. My point? I had to fire the weapon many times to learn and deal with the recoil. To load the following shot takes a measure of strength. It is not a weapon one "aims". It is one that you point, fire, move while reloading and point and fire again. Else you make yourself a target. It takes a lot of practice to use it correctly. Practice, Practice, Practice. Biden is a fool.

To many in our cultural elite, Woody Guthrie is an American saint. The legendary songwriter from Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, is introduced to every American child by way of his folk anthem “This Land Is Your Land.” But for gatekeepers of the arts, Guthrie is much more: All of his work—every song, every article, every poem—is good and honest and true, the gospel according to Woody. What other justification is there for the release of this deservedly long-lost novel? Completed in 1947 but only recently “rediscovered,” House of Earth is an incoherent polemic interspersed with erotic scenes and rambling descriptions

Looks like it’s Let’s Make a Deal time this month, except perhaps for budgets, at least for the moment. At the same time the Senate has cut a deal on gun control by, er, making the status quo slightly more muscular, the Gang of Eight has reached a deal in principle on immigration. ‘Comprehensive immigration reform,” a deal on which is reportedly imminent, has a lot of moving parts — too many, in truth, as with most “comprehensive” legislation. Among the costs of comprehensivism is that debate over such bills often gets bogged down in the many details. Americans seeking to evaluate any deal should ask three questions about it to cut through the noise. First: Will it encourage future illegal immigration? This has always been the greatest risk of proposals to provide legal status for current illegal immigrants: that it will be seen as a reason for others to come here illegally

How many federal agencies does it take to do catfish safety inspections? At least three, according to the Government Accountability Office, which on Tuesday released its 2013 report on fragmentation and duplication of federal programs. This year´s report -- there were two previous editions of the report first requested by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla. -- documents an estimated $95 billion in duplicative programs that waste precious tax dollars. That brings the three-year total of potential savings documented by GAO to $295 billion. Having three agencies doing catfish safety inspections may strike some as funny, but there is nothing to laugh about

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

Although the first votes on gun -control legislation have yet to be cast, by some measures the National Rifle Association has already won. Obama’s ambitious plans to ban assault weapons and limit magazine capacities are off the table, while the NRA suggested it could support the most likely outcome -- expanded background checks -- as recently as 1999. The NRA claims that the president’s efforts have triggered a fundraising surge and boosted its membership from 4 million to nearly 5 million.

Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. "The politics has been relentless and that continues," Sebelius said. The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples. Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.
