Cause ‘170 Million Jobs’ to Be Lost

National Review Online, by Charles C. W. Cooke

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 2/28/2013 6:21:44 PM

Maxine Waters (D., Calif.), in an attempt to outdo President Obama’s claims that even minor cuts will bring the republic’s long run to an ignominious end, warned today that the sequester could cause “over 170 million jobs” to be lost:(Snip for video)134 million people have jobs in America.

Comments:
That´s all of the text. I hope there is enough to pass.

That´s Dallas´s own dim bulb, Eddie Bernice Johnson, at Waters´s right.

Back when Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were going down the drain, and the head of one of the two agencies was under scrutiny, Maxine Waters said that everything was fine, that the republicans were being racist because the man heading the agency, Raines, is black.
Raines took his 90 million dollars in bogus bonus money and resigned. The agencies were terminally ill.

Wow, there must have 8 brain cells total on that stage. Pelosi´s created 500 million jobs so losing 170 million isn´t so bad.

When you get right down to it, there really isn´t much more that can be said about Maxine Waters. Plus, it´s probably better not to post what you´re thinking.

Maxine is right, but low. The sequester will also cost jobs in foreign countries. I estimate that 90% of all jobs on the planet will be lost. The only jobs that are safe are in creating internet porn and the government. Everything else is doomed.

The making of a Maxine Waters:
1. Tell all blacks that the government should take care of them due to how their ancestors from 150 years ago were treated.
2. Set up a welfare system that discourages marriage.
3. Provide high rise apartment warehouses for them where drug dealers gave easy access.
4. Raise children from unmarried mothers in drug infested squaler.
5. Keep telling them for generations their poor condition is due to Republicans.
6. Continue making them dependent with promises of more and more government "help".
7. Drill into their head that whites still want to enslave them and that only the government can prevent it from happening.
8. Be sure they stay ignorant by keeping generations of the children in substandard schools with worthless union teachers but convince them they should never believe any white person wished them well.

AND THEN 94% WILL VOTE ONLY FOR ANOTHER LIBERAL BLACK THAT WILL KEEP THEM IN THE SAME CONDITION. Wallah! Maxine Waters

Something about blacks and math, I guess. Remember the million man march?

Also, the black congressman who claimed 200 million slaves were drowned on their way to America.

Assuming slave ships held 200 slaves at a time, that would have been one million ships dumping slaves overboard to keep from getting caught. Over a 50 year period, that would be 6 slave ships per day drowning 200 slaves every day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year for 50 years.

That, of course, doesn´t count the ships that got through.

Idiots are in power in our country. Cut off the money. 100% of it. Now.

I am always amazed — amazed — when anyone has the gall to dismiss, even laugh off, the suggestion that the right to keep and bear arms is a smart and necessary provision for a free society. Human history (not to mention current events!) is too chock-full of examples of nefarious regimes violently abusing and controlling their people, and the freedoms enjoyed by American citizens are the exception, not the rule. During a committee hearing of the Oregon state senate in considering their own state package of gun-control legislation last week, one testifier reminded the assembled lawmakers of one

A few years ago I interviewed a handyman to do some work on my house. I noticed a teardrop tattoo at the top of his left cheek. Prior to hiring him, I searched online for what this design signified. My mouth dropped when I found out. A teardrop tattoo can mean he murdered someone. So I hired someone else. Plastic surgeons and dermatologists are seeing more and more people who want their tattoos removed, often because they worry that the tattoos could cause problems with employment. Andrew Breitbart has become an iconic and beloved figure on the right, so it’s hard to imagine his eponymous empire could be in danger of losing conservative support just one year after his passing. But if recent events are a harbinger of things to come, that’s at least a possibility. It all started last October, when BuzzFeed’s McKay Coppins penned a controversial piece, arguing the outlet was “plagued by an unusual degree of disorganization and rampant infighting…” The report might have been easily dismissed, had it not been soon revealed that Breitbart.com’s Dana Loesch was suing Breitbart.com

Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, and Pope John Paul II—three who won the Cold War and, it isn´t too much to say, saved the West (at least for a while!)—are no longer with us. Their examples remain. They knew what they believed but also knew they had to justify their beliefs, and that one could adjust prudently to circumstances without yielding on principle. They stood firm when in power, and they took risks to get there, challenging the conventional wisdom and the respective establishments of their nations or institutions.

Frustration is taking its toll in the liberals’ war against guns. President Obama, pushing his broad gun control agenda, said we should be ashamed if we’ve forgotten the Newtown shooting so soon. The New York Times opined that Obama is being shouted down by the “gun lobby,” even though he and Biden had been crisscrossing the country “…making a forceful case for a package of laws that would reduce gun violence.” That, of course, is the media narrative on gun control. For every issue there is a narrative: a set of assumptions and boundaries of thought

GOLFE-JUAN, France—Frank Samson has prepared for a long time to meet his Waterloo. The French lawyer impersonates Napoleon Bonaparte at re-enactment battles, but it is no idle hobby. Mr. Samson has found what he says are perfect replicas of the French general´s gray overcoat, he has studied Napoleon´s native Corsican tongue and he has had himself crowned emperor of France, in a cathedral yet. In 2015, he wants to lead thousands of military enthusiasts into the ultimate re-enactment: the 200th anniversary of the battle of Waterloo in Belgium. But an American rival stands in his way. Is it time to give up the fight against Obamacare? That’s a question some conservative health-care experts, pundits, and — more quietly — politicians are asking. In the first years after its passage, opponents had hoped that the Supreme Court would strike down the law or that a new president would sign its repeal before most of it took effect. But the Supreme Court decided to modify a few of its provisions instead of striking it down, and President Obama was reelected. Repeal is almost certainly off the table for four years. Obamacare will continue to be implemented.

As the bipartisan Gang of Eight works to complete a comprehensive immigration reform bill, there has been a growing consensus among Senate Republicans that the bill — so far seen by no one outside the Gang — should be the subject of multiple hearings and extended consideration inside the Senate Judiciary Committee. But on Sunday there were signs that consensus does not extend to the Republicans inside the Gang. Appearing on CBS, longtime immigration reform advocate and Gang member Sen. John McCain suggested the immigration issue is so familiar to lawmakers that multiple hearings will not be necessary.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

More than 700 Special Operations veterans are urging members of Congress to back a select committee to investigate last year’s Benghazi terrorist attack, according to a letter first obtained by Fox News. The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

President Barack Obama is bringing 11 relatives of those killed in the shooting at Connecticut´s Sandy Hook Elementary School to Washington on Air Force One on Monday so they can personally encourage senators to back gun legislation that faces tough opposition. A nonprofit organization that works with the families, Sandy Hook Promise, said that after Obama´s speech on gun control in Hartford, he is flying with relatives of seven children and one staffer killed during December´s massacre at the school. There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Amid all of the very real threats of war and stuff from North Korea, you´d think American intelligence officers want as much video footage of the enemy as possible. Well, here is one video featuring North Korean exercises and Kim Jong-Un holding a gun, and we´ll say this: they certainly get points for presentation. Remember the clap-happy report from Dennis Rodman´s diplomatic basketball vacation? This video comes courtesy of the same Youtube channel that gave us that Rodman video. The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....
